RE: Fliton extra 260 mini CG adjustment help needed
I have one . i dont know where CG is supposed to be but i do remember that it flies best for me with battery further back than they recommended. mine is centered over the wing tube.. i flew it forward and kept moving it back to where it suited me.. i have had it as forward as the firewall just to see how it flew

RE: Jet crash at the Nall ?
ORIGINAL: off2fly I noticed a lot of people flying little park flyers all over camping areas and such, even though radios were supposed to be off unless at flight station. Wonder if this might have some bearing?[&o]
Probably not constidering there were a hand full flying off the lake. at least 5 at a time on the 3D line and a few helis on the heli line and 4 or 5 at a time on the E-line added to the flying at the main line . most of the so called park flyers were indoor planes and were flying close to dark when the above 2 mph wind wasn`t effecting them. none of the crashes im aware of were at this time.

I switched to Nano Tech 160s and get great flight times.. I use a glue called Liquid fusion if I can wait 24 hours. The glue joints are flexible after the repair and never break again. I have noticed on my CA repairs it is brittle ant joint but still have to do that for quick repairs

I got the hobby king nano tech 5000 5s to try but havent gotten the motor/ esc yet.. the 6s packs I'm running now are Flight Power EVO pro lites 3s packs . At the time it was the lightest batterys out . The nano techs I have tried in the past are night and day as far as power too. Im hoping with the shaved weight and extra boost of packs/motor will be the ideal choice to achieve what I'm looking for as far as power to weight..

right now just the electrifly motor and a castle creations 60. im switching to 5s to save weight and going to try the Extreme Flight motor to gain a couple of hundred watts. the way it is now there is no room for mistakes. so far (knock on wood) im on my 3rd season flying it..

getting ready to change mine from 6s to 5s with the extreme flight power combo.. thinking the reduced weight coupled with higher watt more efficient motor than stock Electrifly may just be the ticket for me.. too many times the sluggishness of the stock motor setup has had me curling my toes wondering if it will make it...

so no one has tried this huh?? I will have to do it myself.. seems 6 batteries would get a better charge through the balance tap than with the board i have seen that charge them in parallel for obvious reasons. will order some pigtails and a board this week . cut traces in board and wire as a balance plug with 6 ports.. will be using 2 of theses http://www.tmenet.com/products/lithium-charger/xtrema-accessories/ultra-micro-adapter with a TP 6s pigtail.

RE: What Is Best Of The Best Universal Charger?
hope you enjoy it.. I also forgot to mention that when i fly 5 and 6S packs I use 2 packs (Eg 2 3s 4600 packs in series). makes it easier to me for 3 reasons. you can charge them at full C rate on any charger because they are split up to charge .also if there is a chance you crash your plane and kill a pack or a cell dies your not out a large pack and also the applications are more versatile IE using the pack split for smaller planes.. I have been doing it this way for years. so far 40 size planes are where I draw the line as far as size..

RE: What Is Best Of The Best Universal Charger?
I only charge at 1C with most my packs and dont think charger is slow at all. 4600 6s packs are largest I have in 40 size aircraft. but i also have lots of others in smaller size aircraft . but then again I havent lost a lipo pack since they made balancer taps. i still have Thunder power packs dated 2005 and they still work fine because i dont abuse them. I dont even charge nanotechs higher than 5 C . also keep in mind that a 2000 watt charger will take 2000 watts of power to supply it so it depends on what you want to do and how much you want to spend.. you can get a Hyperian or a cell pro charger at over $200 and get a power supply to charge 1 pack at 20 amps and still be waiting on that one charger if you do alot of flying. or you can use muliple charge charger and buy 4 packs and have at least one going at all times but could still be a small wait . just depends what you want. they all charge batteries so you cant go wrong on any of the higher quality chargers out just go for it and buy a charger you think is right for you and if you dont like it KEEP it and use it, and when you have the funds get another. I have 5 chargers and STILL use them all. I even still use my original Triton and it will only charge a Lipo at 2A but its perfect for small packs so its not outdated by any means. No matter what you buy you WILL be able to use it. you just need to decide what is best for what you are doing at this time . that will also change multiple times as long as you stay in this hobby. You will always change directions on what you want to do.. Hope this was some help since there is no ultimate charger that meets everybody's needs..

Im sure someone has tried to charge multiple 1s E-Flite packs using a Balancer plug say using a triton charger or equivalent . where do you get such harness or does anyone have the layout on how to build one using a TP or XH balancer plug ?

RE: umx 300
I have had mine for about 2 weeks and about 10 flights. about the time I got serious and really start liking the plane. or should i say really LOVING the plane I notice my batteries don't last long at all then it starts pulsing as if the ESC is going to cut off. Then after a short time it does. I get maybe a 2 min hover and it is pulsing with one battery.. I cant even fly 30 seconds with other and its pulsing without hovering.. both packs are 150MAH E-flights. im beginning to lean toward the ESC in the plane because after it shuts down and falls out of the air. I can put the battery in my Vapor and fly it for 10 min.. Has any one else experienced this? what are your run times ?.. Also my motor/ gearbox is extremely loud.. not sure if this is norm due to no plane to compare it to so im not sure about that...

Great planes ultimate 160
I just got my issue of Fly r/c .. and being an ultimate fan was interested in this plane... wonder if a DA 50 would bring the wing loading up too much to 3D it? must be something about musicians and R/C hobby... I still have mine and am still flying it. I would say a couple of hundred flights. My gear has not split any more since i wicked some thin CA in there. the only thing i disliked about the plane is to get the CG where i like it I had to strap The battery to the wing tube. the tray has it WAY nose heavy. maybee it was designed before the light more powerfull outrunners were popular. i am using a TP 2100. if I got a motor that I could run a 1300 on maybee the battery tray could be used

you wont have to move the battery that far foreward i dont think. If you are scarrd of RF then dont get a QQ yak. the manual has the throttle servo less than 4" from ignition[:-] and Mine is tail heavy so i have to move more stuff up. QQ is running 2.4 and there is no WAY im running a low band reciever in there. HEHE... When i get some ducks to get a new motor Iwill resurrect my ultimate. I used the stuff in the YAK. and cant afford gear in both[&o]
