H9 P-51 Mustang MKII PTS EP conversion using H9 motor mount standoff
I have the Hangar 9 PTS Mustang that I plan to convert to electric with a Power 46 motor. I am considering this H9 motor mount adjustable standoff but not sure IF it will fit the Mustang's fire wall or fit inside the cowl? Has anyone used this standoff mount in such a conversion? Horizon part number is: HAN4245

RE: Aquacraft's
The MC boat does have crappy graphics and Geico is a scam insurance company from my past experience with them. I'm realling looking for quality and performance differences from each boat. I know the Motley Crew boat has not yet been released to the market ,so I'm just wondering if anyone has had a heads up on what these boats are like in terms of quality and performance? I can always repaint either boat to alleviate the eye sore graphics flaw by the manufacturers. [:@]

I'm looking for a small catamaran electric boat for this summer. I have read all the specs on the Aquacraft "Motley Crew" and ProBoat's "Miss Geico". I'm not too sure on which boat to purchase! Can anyone give me some information as to which boat would be the best choice in terms of quality and performance?

RE: Great Planes P-51 Mustang Sport Scale
Besides the scale looks, I'm wondering if the H9 40 Mustang handles more like a "warbird" or has that "warbird" feel from the GP 40 Mustang? Or is the H9 40 Mustang another sport airplane in the P-51 disguise like that of the GP model?

RE: Great Planes P-51 Mustang Sport Scale
Besides scale looks, I know that the Hangar 9 P-51 Mustang 40 Sport is designed to fly somewhat like a "sport" airplane but does it have more "warbird" qualities, if any, from the Great Planes Sport Mustang or are the two Mustangs basically the same ? Do they both share that Mustang look from the outside but are just a sport airplane on the inside ?

Heng Long Tiger I Metal Hull Upgrade
Rc Tank Wars has the Asia Tam lower metal hull upgrade for the Heng Long Tiger I and the Asia Tam Heavy Duty Brass Gear Box . Last night, I also noticed that there is also another upgrade lower metal hull kit with brass gear box and metal tracks included for $300.00 and it is made by Mato Toys. This Mato Toy kit is sold by a guy on Ebay called "RC-Dynasty". Does anyone know which metal hull and brass gear box kit system is better? Thank you!

DSR-46T retracts for FMS P-51
I have a FMS V4 P-51 Mustang and I would like to install the DSR-46T electric retracts. The Mustang has approx 60mm stock wheels and the DSR's have 45mm wheels. Can I still use the stock DSR wheels on the Mustang or should I try to install 60mm wheels on the DSR strut axle using spacers?

Rich, This retarder slows the drying time of the liquid decal film coating and prevent that milky coating? Is that how it works? Frank

Need help with Badger
This may be off this forum subject but I really need some help and maybe someone out there has used this product before. I had purchased a small bottle of the Badger "Model Flex Liquid Decal Film" from Tower Hobbies in order to preserve and protect some old decals that I have on some of my airplanes. I followed the instructions to: " apply a generous coat of Modelflex Liquid Decal Film to old decals with an artist brush and allow to dry for 15 minutes". This is all that the directions say on how to use this product. I have done this to the airplane's old decals but when this stuff drys, there is a milky white film all over the decals! What am I doing wrong and is there another solution that I need to prevent this milky white film on the decals? Frank

RE: New Hobby-Lobby FreeWing Or StarMax F-9F Panther EPO Jet
I'm guessing that this Panther jet is made by FreeWing but it is not on the FreeWing website. So, like you said, this Panther jet must be intended as a H-L exclusive? BUT, the FreeWing 64mm Saber Skyblazer and Mig-15 are termed as "H-L exclusives" and are also found on RC-Castle, Toysonics and E-Bay? Time will tell I guess. DryPipe

Not the Cub. I may consider the Seagull Space Walker 120 or Great Planes military Pt-17 Stearman. But for now, I'm still looking for a Four Star type of sport airplane in 120 size. Thank you for all your help. Frank

RE: Looking For a 1.20 size Sig Four Star like airplane
I've been looking at that one too, but I would like to use the Zenoah G-26a magneto gasser. I perfer magneto engines because you do not need another battery. The Funtana specs indicate that it will take the G-20ie and I'm not too sure if it will fly with the G-26a magneto engine, even though the Funtana is advertised as a 1.25 size airplane? Are these 3D planes easy to fly? Are they sensitive on the controles, even on low rates, due to their large control surfaces? Does this Funtana 125 fly as easy as the Sig Four Star? I'm just looking to do some sport flying. I'm not into 3D flying like hovering or knife edges. Frank
