RE: Forum
Thanks for all the kind words! When I began this forum, I worked in our product support department and the forum was an extension of my job responsibilities. Around a year ago I moved into product development and with that over the last year my duties have increased such that I simply can't keep up with my job duties and support this forum. We understand how important support is to our customers, and I'm certain that our product support department will continue to provide outstanding service to all our customers.

Out of the office
Just an update, for some reason the posts I made yesterday on the forum have dissapeared when an update to the site was performed and unfortunetely I don't have time today to repost to answer all of the threads. I will be out of the office until the middle of next week as well and will be unable to post until then. I appologize for the delay, however my time is very short currently. If you need assistance please contact our service department at 877-504-0233 or email to "productsupport@horizonhobby.com".

RE: Hitec Supreme FM Autoshift DC Receiver
A JR receiver will not work with a Hitec transmitter. A Hitec receiver that is made to be compatible with a JR transmitter will work.

RE: AR-9000 problem...
For piece of mind, I would recommend sending the module and the receiver in for a check up.

RE: 9100 will not power up
Have you bound the receiver to the TX with all remotes plugged in? What happens with the switch removed?

RE: Hitec Supreme FM Autoshift DC Receiver
Do you mean from one transmitter? If so, then as long as the receiver is Hitec compatible, then yes.

RE: 2.4 Question
Were the lights flashing slowly or fast? If slowly, that could be an indication of a power problem. If fast, it is being put into bind mode somehow.

Yes it will, you will need to completely program the model in both systems.

RE: Firmware upgrade instructions
http://www.horizonhobby.com/Content/Media/pdf/servicecenterchecklist.pdf There is no "re-binding" delay issue. Binding is done when initially setting up the receiver and there are no binding issues. I assume that you are speaking about this however: http://www.spektrumrc.com/Articles/Article.aspx?ArticleID=1756

RE: JR/Spektrum 2.4 GHZ Failsafe
You asked if the 6 or 7 channel receivers have any other options, they do not at this time. What I said was correct. Smartsafe is used in all Spektrum aircraft receivers. The 9 channel receivers also have Preset failsafe which is where all channels go to the failsafe position. Thank you for your feedback.

RE: AR9100 : 3 questions
You can charge while plugged into the receiver, however the receiver will draw a small amount of current at all times while the batteries are plugged in, so disconnect them if you are not flying for a few days.

RE: What does Spektrum mean by "Park Flyer
I'm not familiar with the model mentioned, however the receiver is for slow and park flyer aircraft. If you have a model that you may operate at greater distances than flown with slow/park flyers, the AR6200 is a great option as the weight increase is marginal.

RE: DX7 and pull pull setup
You would need to set the gear to gear mix to -100% in both directions (match the values of the travel adjust on the gear channel to cancel them). Then set the rudder to gear mix in program mix 4 (the DX7 only has 4 program mixes) and set the values to +100% in both directions.

RE: battery voltage drop capacitor - please clarify
The Spektrum voltage protector is for 1/12 scale cars that use a 4 cell pack to power the ESC and generally the output of the BEC is low, so the voltage protector helps prevent power loss. This is ONLY for 1/12 scale electric cars, it won't do anything in any other applications.

RE: alarm volume DX7
The only thing I would say to do would be to send the system in for a check up as there is no volume control.

RE: JR/Spektrum 2.4 GHZ Failsafe
1) I can't speak to future products. I'm not sure what you mean by the ailerons going to full deflection on fail safe, all receivers have failsafe on throttle and all other channels hold the previous position. 2) There aren't any other 'settings' for the receivers.

RE: DX-7 Bind button green light
The light should be on indicating it is operating. The power used is minimal, and like I mentioned, is a visual indicator that the system is operating.

RE: Duel Rates with 2 servos on ailerons
You are using the flaperon function and plugging the ailerons into channels 2 and 6? And are you for sure using the dual rate function and not travel adjust or aileron differential? The dual rate function doesn't have the ability to limit throw in only one direction. Have you inhibited the flaps in the input select function? Also does this occur on the servo monitor as well as on the aircraft?

RE: Dual receiver install
One remote per receiver is fine. Two remotes per receiver increases path diversity, which can improve system performance, however it is not necessary.

RE: Trim values between 6102 and x9303
Using the same values will work, they may need some adjustment as the calibration etc can be different between the two systems. But they should be very close if not the same.
