RE: Need new shocks
I dont know about the lst shocks... But I do know that if u use 50-60 wt. oil in your shocks that it will handle CRAZY[sm=spinnyeyes.gif] jumps much better.

RE: Cant decide
I'd take the savage x over anytrhing. You CAN NOT beet the durability of the savage. The Savage x 4.6 is just as fast as the lst 2 for bashing anyday, and a little more durable. The 4.6 is as fast as a revo 2.5 and WAY more durable. Plus, the traxxas engines are crap. They really dont last long and i think that they dont hold a tune very well. I can bash my savage x 4.1 into the ground all day doing tons of backflips gone whorg, and my friends revo 3.3 will be dead with only one bad landing. Also, my friends revo is always having air leaks!!! Traxxas = bad. Savvy = THE BEST

RE: Anyone Own a Savage X?
Yes, the .32 is a little better on the low end, but for the price and the amount of upgrades that you will have to do to keep your drivetrain strong enough to handle the power, its not worth it. I think that the .28 1S is really the best axial engine for the price and its really not much worse than the rr.

RE: Mounting a camera on a savage?
Sure it can. You can mount it right in front of the shock tower with zip ties or you could put in on the left side looking sideways. Its really easy. You can even do small jumps with is on. Just dont go in the dirt and ront roll/crash you truck with the cam on it.

RE: Make the Savage X lower to the ground
I bash my truck offroad and do huge jumps with the truck 50 feet in the air. I use 50 wt. oil in the back. 50 wt. oil in 2 of the front shocks and 40 wt oil in the other 2 front shocks.

Best upgrades for a used truck???
I just got a used Savage X. I was wondering what the best upgrades are for beefing up a savage x. I just want it to be really durable. I was thinking a center skidplate would be one of the best. I'm planning on getting a Axial .28 1S (Green) soon and aluminum diff cases. Also, What are the best wheel and tire combos for both street and grass/dirt/dust? Does anyone have the .281S? Anyone got pics? Thanks, Owen

RE: Savage X Questions
The water will delute the oil which is bad if yu dont COMPLETELY dry out the filter before you oil it. The best thing to use is old fuel or nitro cleaner.

RE: Savage X Questions
#1= put 3 drops of after run in the glow plug hole and put 3 drops in the carb with the air filter off. Make sure to clean the area around the carb before you take the air filter off. #2= Wash it out with nitro cleaner then put it in a plastic bag with a bunch of air filter oil and mush it around. Then let it air dry. #3= Go to your hardware store and buy some small o rings. Install 1-2 of them on the back part of the pin. Then install the pin back in. #4= Look on towerhobbies.com and on ebay. #5= When you are done running, pour all the gas out of the fuel tank. Then start the engine up 1 more time. Only one. Then do your after run maintenence. Hope that helped. Good to see you are enjoying the hobby. How's your savvy holdin' up? Cheers, Owen
