RE: Official Losi Micro SCT Thread
I've had nothing but bad luck with all Losi electronics so far in my brief sct ownership and I've replaced them with something different each time. Latest item that I'm sick of is the motors (have 8750 and 10250) seemingly poorly built with play in shaft. I've seen big name motor options out there for just a little more like $ 30-50.00

RE: Official Losi Micro SCT Thread
looking good phmaximus! So far so good with the aluminum spur gear. I had almost forgotten the trick to get the right distance between pinion and spur gear. You take a little pice of print paper or such and put it between pinion and gear, push motor with pinion firmly in to spur gear, the paper will set the perfect distance generally. Is that a Losi servo you are using? My servo wires wore off at soldering (due to pulling on wires?) The soldering is so close together i'm not even going to try repairing :) I've been trending towards cheaper electronics and have had better luck, go figure... I'm off to hobby king servo next. At $5.00 a piece it's like 3 for the price of one. The $16.00 esc I have is working great with default settings, the 1/36 Losi burned up after 2 min.

RE: Official Losi Micro SCT Thread
Anybody knows if you have to go into gearbox(es) if you want to remove driveshaft? I am replacing spur gear for a 59t aluminum gear.

RE: Official Losi Micro SCT Thread
Already had the bl system from start. I think the motor survived so I'm set there. $ 70 for a little circuit.. half the cost of the complete RTR I got, rip off. Does the losi 2.4 radio bind to any 2ch new reciever? Wonder what causes the delay like has been mentioned in thread earlie, what's the culprit? the esc? I might as well take the money and by a different reciever and esc and upgrade in that case. Any other suggestions on a reciever and esc. Btw buying the same chassis coversion you got terminator, can't resist.

RE: Official Losi Micro SCT Thread
Boy, I think I f.u the esc unit by connecting the battery wrong (short) shouldn't be able to happen but.... I wonder why they charge so much (losi) for their esc unit? You can buy a spektrum radio/reciever and a seperate escfor just a little more then again it's convinient. I don't know if the losi unit is considered good and worth the money. Also thinking about getting the composite chassis for better access not to mention more flexibility with battery. Oh, and ofcourse 10250 motor with larger pinion, almost want lower the torque and get more top speed Before you know it you're in to it for hundreds ha ha, it's an inexpensive setup no matter what though I think considering the funfactor.

RE: Official Losi Micro SCT Thread
Thanks! The 7.4 lipos I got are less than $8.00 so $ 35.00 feels expensive at the same time I almost have to get it to check out the power which seems ridiculus on youtube at least.

RE: Official Losi Micro SCT Thread
Does anybody know what if of any 11.1 lipo that fits battery compartment w/o mods? 2 cell is plenty power for me and I got the protek 240 which just fits in. Height seems to be be biggest problem since connector is too large to fit sideways in the end.
