RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2
I'm with professor Phil. I run my tail blades a little snug. Main blades are pretty tight. Scott

Chuck, Well... :) I tried. :) That's about the only place you're gonna get an Align product without electronics. You're right about the house stuff, too! :) Scott

RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2
Chuck, Try GrandRC, seriously! :) Ivan, It's yours, bro! :) Enjoy. On another note, we took the moho out for a trip to the FF in Cincy last weekend. Left Thursday and came back Sunday. Uneventful, trip wise, but I have to tell you just how impressed I am with my Honda EU2000i generator. The weekend was completely dry camping, meaning we brought all the water we would use with us90 gallons. Dry camping also means no electricity! So, during the day we ran the motor home's generator for powerit was great. But the star was EU2000i. We ran the Honda generator at night after it cooled off. The first night for 8 hours, second night for 12 hours, and the last night for 13 hoursit never ran out of gas. Thirteen hours on .98 gallons of gas with gas to spare? Incredible! We didn't skimp on electricity, either. I fell asleep each night watching TV! The event was great. I got to see Spotlight night flying for the first time. Next time out, I'll try to fly my Rush at night in spotlights. Man, those things really light up a helicopter! Scott

RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2
Sorry I didn't get back to sooner, Chuck... I've been in Cincy for a fun fly. Actually, no... I haven't recently seen any Align bare bones kits. You may be able to get one from GrandRC as they are known to combo or de-combo kits, but I have never tried it so I'm not 100 percent certain. Scott

RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2
The 450 pro is actually a good little helicopter. Durable, parts are everywhere and it flies as good as your setup lets it. I say, go for it! Mine has had some very ugly crashesso many that only two parts (except the frame halves) are not the original! I'd stay away from the DFC head, though. Align did not do it right. Scott

LOL! Big bugs! Oh... thought I'd mention... we may be getting a motorhome. I've been looking at used motorhomes (Class A Gas) and today we're going to test drive one (we're not buying it). I want to get the feel of one. Believe it or not, until Tuesday, I had never set foot inside a motorhome.

RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2
Stupid seller. That's all that is. I would reject their counter offer and lower your bid. I tried that game when I listed my house in Northern, VA. I wanted to keep my home theater system as it was not part of the house. I rejected an offer and paid for it later. It would seem that in the case of the built-in microwave and window treatments that they're just being stupid. I can understand not wanting the washer and dryer to convey, but in this market, sellers have to realize what they're up against. Scott

RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2
With my old mortgage in Northern, VA, I made higher payments so a portion of the payment went to an escrow account then the account managers paid taxes from that. If I had paid too much, I would get a check at the end of the tax year for the difference. Here, I'm paying taxes directly to the county, twice/year when the bill comessummer/winter. I do think the taxes you state are really out of touch with reality and do nothing to promote home ownership. In fact they seem punative. I hope you can find something to your liking, sir! Scott

RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2
Ivan, Do they have interval taxes that make up the total/year (summer/winter... that's what we have here)? I will agree, though... those taxes are off the hook bad. We pay only around 3K/year total. Scott

RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2
Can't go to that site from work, Dave... I'll check it out when I get home. RCU is really messed up these days, bro. I'm not certain, but I think it runs under IIS (based on urls and extensions) and probably has every known windows attack thrown at it daily. Posting a message often takes two minutes for it to respond and then usually with an invalid response. Scott

RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2
Good luck with the house search, Ivan! I hope you find one soon. Are you buying? Here, there are lots of good deals on foreclosed properties, but the down side is that if they've been winterized, there's a lot of expense in getting them habitable in terms of water, AC, heating, etc.. Still, there were three houses in our neighboorhood that sold for well over half of their original price. It's a buyer's market here, that's for sure. Scott
ORIGINAL: 9sec240 Still relaxing after my great weekend in Muncie. Had a great time and enjoyed hanging out with Scott and Kyle. Heavy on the house search as soon as we got back. Found one that I really like but taxes are pretty ridiculous. Chuck, maybe we can get together this weekend and go through the 300X. I got my main shaft in for the one that got bent on mine. I will likely need to go through mine too.
Kyle by-the-way is my wife... 100% female. :) It was a joy hanging out with you and Nica. Guess what? Vacation request in, reservations made! :) All ready for IRCHA 2013! How's that for bucking the Mayan's? Scott

RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2
Chuck, Just set it to factory defaults. I've read factory defaults are different from standalone AR7200BX units. You'd do good to download the AR7200BX manual from the Horizon Hobby site, Chuck. It would be of immense help. To adjust pitch, simply tape a flybar on the headblock perpendicular to the blades. Make sure you have the flybar level. Then just use your pitch gauge normally. Scott

Yes. It will likely be where Charley sets up, Tuesday. I think I'm going to miss the side of field we've been stationed for the last two IRCHA'svery laid back that far out. I'm thinking Charley is going to setup close to center. Text me and I'll tell you where we are. If you can't get a cart Friday, feel free to use mine at your leisure... as long as you hop it up! :) Scott
