RE: Tail Motor on CX & CX2 Xtreme Boom
ORIGINAL: greco_sti hi eat2muchrice! ive done this to my century lama 6 (i think its similar to colco). I used the spare main motor of the 735 3ch. its a bit bigger and a 330ohm 1/8 resistor.. it seems to consume a lot of battery power than the usual. is there something wrong with my setup? btw, the tail rotor speed is not that fast. so is im not sure if its the setup or the battery thats

RE: Hello Friends
Choppersrule, wow you have some good memory. My heli is still somewhat trashed from that homming beach ball. One day I'll fix her up like new, but I need to get my new company going first. Still having the back problems, the good news is they say the pain will go away when I'm 60, thats only 29 more years [&o]. I'm still hurling those knives, not as much since i'm using shapened chopsticks on a dartboard. JPEE, Its always good to hear from you. I'll keep poping in and out, but I think it might be a long time till I really get back into the Heli world. Thanks guys.

RE: Tail Motor on CX & CX2 Xtreme Boom
you need to use a ¼ watt resistor. It been a long long time maybe near a year now and my tail motor is still running strong with no signs of power drain.

Awww the drama
Hello all, sorry I haven't been around lately. Just wanted to update everyone on my flying experience. About two months ago I've been grounded. As many of you might know that I've spent a lot of time with my blade cx2. I customized everything from lights, body, shafts, batteries, motors and so on. I've put so much detail into the little heli to get it looking and flying perfectly for me. Then one horrible thing happened while I was taking it out for a cruse, my brothers evil 4 year old daughter (and she is truly an evil child but that’s another long story) took her beach ball and thought it would be funny to hit my heli with it while I was in the air. It was a full toss that knocked me strait down and into the staircase. The damage was horrifying, the custom painted body got all smashed up same with my modified tail boom, the lights are out, and every shaft and bar got bent. I know it’s not the worst that’s ever happened to me or anyone else, but it was my third attempt rebuilding my heli trying to keep it in perfect condition. After that incident I guess that my frustrations started to show, my poor helicopter has been sitting smashed up in its box every since that day. Well to the good news. I threw out my back (again) and have to take another break from construction. My herniated disc has me searching for a new occupation and should allow me time to get back into my heli, once I can get out of bed.

RE: Blade CX2 loosing power
nope. Just make sure you let if cool down after each flight. You can also vent your canopy and 4-1 case. The new xtreme motors will also help keep everything cool.

RE: fixed my cx2 no lift problem
yes, Another main symtom is no lift and your heli spins in a circle.

RE: Blade CX2 loosing power
Def, You can use lama batteries, but you have to mod your tray a bit to fit them. If you want some cheap batteries check out "Mega Power - 2-Cell 7.4v 850mAH 15C" They are only 15 bucks and fit perfectly into a stock cx-cx2. I have them and love it....with the the xtreme motors your heli will double its power. Note: for more power in batteries you want higher "c" rating. Stock batteries are only at 8c.

RE: Blade CX2 loosing power
deftones123, I love the xtreme motors. They do give some extra power, run cooler, MUCH quieter and you get even of all that with silver brushes installed. I can fly while my wife watches t.v. If you have upgraded batteries I would highly recommed them. Well worth the upgrade to me.

RE: blade cx (swirly bird)
Seems like your flybar is off. Make sure its not bent and that it is seated properly into the upper hub. Also check to see if its balanced, tap the flybar down and see if it bounces back level. Also check the weights at the end.

Looks sweet. Even though I would perfer to see Broncos decals on it [;)]. That was my first two tone painjob, it was more work but the crome and black turned out pretty nice. I'm glad that your happy with it and you did a great job with the decals. How is she flying?

RE: Blade CX2 loosing power
I've had the same problem as both of you before. It turned out to be bad/warped blades, they were not creating enough lift. Test and check different set of blades on the upper and lower sets. Check out the links that I posted before up top. I've broken down how to diognos the problem step by step, give them a try in order and if your still having problems then let us know.

RE: Blade CX2 loosing power
1. Check your batteries. Eat2muchrice’s Cheap Battery Test and Fix http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6970199/tm.htm 2. Check for bent shafts. Quattro1975’s Bents Shaft Repair http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6791546/tm.htm 3. Check and test your blades. Also make sure they are balanced and tracked. Eat2muchrice’s Warped blade test http://youtube.com/watch?v=_7PwNTXOWMs Eat2muchrice’s Blade boil fix http://youtube.com/watch?v=RmNv8OlG6GQ RCFEIND’s Balancing Blades http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15h9G37VDEU&feature=related 4. Check Gear-mesh and gear teeth. Tight Gear-mesh also cause resistance, broken teeth will cause slipping. Gear Mesh Guide http://www.rcheli411.com/pages/howto.php?howto=7&page=2 If none of that works then change out the bearings and if your still having problems then change out motors. Good luck and heres more links at Tips/Repair/Guides/Mods Links http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_7035042/anchors_7035042/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#7035042
ORIGINAL: chriskim95 whats the in margin of balancing my lipos?? Im at about 3.80 and 3.84... is that close enough?
That will hurt your flying time by alot. On a full charge they should read at 4.2v each.

RE: BATTERY FIX ! How To Rebalance Lipo's
Chriskim95, your testing the wrong wires. There are three wires that go into the charger plug. What you should get is three different readings with your voltameter. red=left, blue=mid, black=right To check each cell Cell 1 red+blue=4.2v Cell 2 blue+black=4.2v Note: red+black = The total amount of voltage in both cells 8.4v. Look very closely at the pictures posted. Note: a small computer fan drains the battery much faster then an LED light. It saves alot of time.

RE: BAD BLADES
Thanks for the kind words Solo. Comming from you and your ultimate How-to guide that means alot. Pikester, please take note that: Lower rotors/shaft turns Left Upper rotors/shaft turns Right So it seems that your problem is comming from somewhere in your lower assembly. That would include bearings/hubs/blades/shafts and gears. Soloboss’s Guide http://www.heli-wiki.com/mediawiki/index.php/HOWTO_Wiki_Overall_CX_and_CX2_Setup

RE: got my CX2 stuck in a tree
get some long rope and tie a heavy ball/rock or somthing to it, then toss it over the branch and feed the end back down. Make sure you have both ends of the rope then shake the branch like a mad man and get ready to catch it. I won't recommend an airsoft gun. My guns are shooting at 350fps and would just rip through it. Good luck. Take a video if you decide to shoot it down [:D].
