RE: Looking to buy an electric buggy/truggy
this is very much beyond your budget but i think it would be a great choice http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_44_1785_2599_2601/products_id/213058/n/Losi-TEN-SCTE-1-10-Scale-4WD-RTR-Short-Course-Truck-w-DX3E-Radio-Dynamite-Charger the losi ten scte is your 810 buggy with a bigger shell and front and rear bumpers(excluding the fact thats its electric lol) so im sure many parts you have would fit on it and you know its durable it comes with its own charger and spek remote just add a lipo this is a roller version aswell http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_44_1785_2599_2600/products_id/197795/n/Losi-TEN-SCTE-4WD-Short-Course-Rolling-Chassis and like foxy said if you mean 200 total mini 8

getting comical...
so as many know the savage XS drive cups ware fast so i got some hot racing upgrades. the center 2 on the tranny and the 2 for the diff pinions. got them today and 2 are bad 1 from each pair how my luck is with this car im not shocked. on the tranny cups one is bent in so the dogbone wont even fit in it. and the other has a nice hairline crack at the pin hole to the tip atleast this is easy to deal with but man its geting to the point where i think its cursed

RE: Re entrants view of nitro vs electric
ORIGINAL: Foxy Before I go out with my 2 nitros, I have to make sure at least 5 batteries are charged (pair of nimh sticks for the starter box, receiver pack x2, glow ignitor) I use them infrequently enough that these batteries ALWAYS need charging. With 5 batteries for my electrics I can bash 2 cars pretty much all day. If I want to run my nitros, I have to go at least 500m from any kind of living space, pretty difficult in an overpopulated capital city. At the end of a day with my nitros, I stink of smoke, oil, I'm black with grease and crap, I have to take old clothes because good ones would be ruined I can wear a suit to bash the electrics if I wanted. I never have to tune my electrics, or at least, when I do, I do it on my laptop and its a matter of 1 or 0, not an analog tuning process which despite what some people believe in this thread, is not always easy. I expect I can tune as well as any of you, I grew up tuning 45,000rpm .12s for racing, and whats' more I went to one track that was at the top of a mountain and another at sea level and had to tune quite differently for each elevation. Not to mention 'lemons', engines that are just a total PITA always, every experienced nitro user has had a 'fussy' engine. Not a problem with the electrics. If the sound and smell is worth all that to you, to still have less performance, then more power to ya (or rather less, cos a nitro engine only makes 3hp compared to 6hp from my 1515 and triple the torque). I tell ya, when I put the 6S truggy down at the bash spot, the 'civilians' aren't watching the nitros any more. ;) Yeh, boring. lololol. I like nitro, I still have 2 nitro cars, though only one is serviceable, but it's getting used less and less, mainly because they are lacking in performance by comparison, I see no gain in going to the trouble of firing them up.
theres exceptions to anything look at it this way savage x 4.6 vs savage flux hp and say you have a protek duo charger for both cars with the flux say 5000mah batterys and you charge at 1c the 4.6 1500mah hump pack and 1500mah roto start battery and i want to run both cars a hour ill be wraping up long before your done running your lipos

I dont know could u say its just silly to mention charging times? (who still uses AA batteries? not me) There are so many people around having big problems with nitro r/c cars, more guys are having problems with keeping it running than the brushless guys. I think the biggest thingis older peeps stick to what they know, and are scared of change. look at how against turbos everyone was, rember those days where if it wasent a V8 it was nothing... nitro will be replace completly some day, internal combustion engine are a thing of the past... sad but true
guess you didnt understand my post

RE: Re entrants view of nitro vs electric
dont get get me wrong i like electric BUT i myself dont find it "plug and play" at all imo nitro is more "plug and play" then any electric (if you have a brain and can tune) if i wanted to run this very minute i cant with electric id have to spends hours and hours charging batterys with nitro if you have fuel and a glow starter your golden any time of the day and are able to drop what your doing and drive now course if you have it planed out and preped hours ahead yes electric is easy and not that charging is hard but hours of it vs 5min of tuning with that said i very much like standing backflips alot and thats why i enjoy both PS im not couting the crazy people out there who spent tons of money for a charger that can charge at 5C or somthing

i'd say you sir are in a conundrum the pin itself should keep the pinion from backing off that far you could do 3 things 1# take apart the front and compare them and hope you find the problem 2# buy a complete case with diff off a ebay chopshop 3# curse alot and then do option 1 or 2
