Penzoil air cooled at 40/1 in all my engines over the years,DA 50'6/60's,zdz40 Da 150 3w 60/75,Dle30,Zenoha G62,26.All run fine,no mess.Never have worn one out, most will crash one before it gets weak.Think of our weed wackers do any of us worry what oil? One of my DA 50's has been in two planes with about 800 12 minute flights.Still runs like new and shows 7100rpm on a Vess 23A.[:D]

After many trouble free years with my trusty 10X I was ready to go 2.4.Wanted to go 12x to keep the same feel in my hands but cost wise the 11X does most of the same sanes one channel.Mine will be here tuesday and look foward to flying with it.As far as looks go really does not matter to me-feel in my hands is most important.

Mine will be here Tuesday as I too got a Great deal from my local Hobby shop.Took me a year to pull the trigger to 2.4 as my trusty ol 10x worked great and trouble free for many years. Now I have to invest in some recievers to get the fleet flying on 2.4.

RE: AMA District X Special Election
Mike Sorry I was not able to talk with you as I did not have a plane down there so I did not register.I was a friend of Jims as I flew at Woodland Ca for many years before moving to Nevada.Jim was around a lot during those days and I miss his friendship. In fact he called me a few times a year to bug me about becoming a AVP for Northern Nevada and I always laughed and declined as real life was always in the way.I like what you have done with the Dist 10 newsletter and how you have spent time getting around to clubs and such.Keep up the good work as no matter who wins our hobby needs good reps and leaders in these trying times with field loss, declining membership and the feds.Good luck to all who run. RE: AMA District X Special Election
Just wanted to say first off I have not meet Mr Brown or had the chance to talk with him.I did meet Lawrence and had a talk with him at the IMAA west coast fly-in at Castle this last weekend. He had a lot of ideas for our District and the AMA in general that I liked.I think he understands the challenges ahead and I like the way he wants to work on them.Last but not least a lot of us on the west coast would like to see a AMA flying site and feel like Lawrence that it can be done.Easy-no way but if your of the camp it can't be done no way no how-well you don't get my vote. There were about 4-500 RV's at Castle with 100's of planes, pilots and spectators. This could be done at a central AMA flying site location in the future, but only if we try. Thanks again Lawrence for your time Sat it was great getting to know you.

Thanks again.Good to know I am setting it up in the right direction.I too use A123's in all my aircraft now-Great batts. My G-26 is a Rich Hanson modified with the RC Ignition setup on it.I will have a 2300 A123 battery with the 42% products Zues ignition/switch so I will not have to have a seperate ignition battery.I fly larger gas aerobatic aircraft and the reason I am putting this together is for a trainer setup for my grandson as he is ready for the field after mastering the sim at home.Should be fun.
ORIGINAL: rfk1381 I also used the razor saw method (used a Zona hand saw). Measured back 3.5 inches from firewall on each corner to make sure the firewall angle was correct, marked the new positions, Struck lines connecting all four corner measurements. Carefully used a Zona razor saw to cut off the nose. Used the firewall as a template to cut another firewall to fit the new opening, Installed triangle stock inside new nose to reinforce the new firewall. Epoxied glass cloth behind new firewall and nose sides. Mounted a Zenoah G26 and Ultra Stick Lite is still going strong...3 years later. You will have a great flyer...
Did you keep the elev and rudder servos in the stock location after moving the firewall back or did they go in the tail?I am in the process of getting ready to put a g-26 on the same plane and wanted to get a idea on this setup. Thanks
