Brian, Not sure about the XP, but on 10S, if you are not using "Accurate" as charge mode, it will do exactly that. You might want to see if you happened to change the charging mode. Just a thought... Kevin
ORIGINAL: rgreen24 Just got my Evo today, and was wondering if you guys got it with the rudder servo tray? The rudder tray was not in my shipment. Also did anyone add any carbon strip to the bottom of the fuz in the canopy section? it seems a little soft and wanted to get your guys's thoughts. thanks in advance.
Rudder tray was not included in my kit, but was very simply to make. I didn't add any carbon strip on the fuse around canopy, and found it to be working fine the way it is. Hope this helps.

RE: F3A World Scores
ORIGINAL: Tree Top Flyer I know the finals start with a clean slate, but I'm confused about the scores that are posted for the end of the semis. 1. Onda won two rounds in the prelims and yet he does not have a 1000 point round on the semis sheet. 2. Chip does not have a score in the prelims that matches his prelim score on the semis. I did not check everyone else, but those two differences would move Onda to 2nd place. Is my calculator broken?
The prelims score was normalized as well, which you need to use CPLR’s score as denominator to calculate everyone else’s scores. In this case, this will give ONDA’s prelim score at 989.79, and Chip at 983.16.

New Falcon 20.5X14.5 V2 Prop - Light just got lighter
MPI just released the new Falcon 20.5X14.5 V2 prop, I had a chance to do some test run over this past weekend, and would like to share my impressions. As people know, the Falcon carbon fiber prop has been known for their light weight, great efficiency, and performance, now the light just got lighter. When MPI first released the Falcon prop series, the average weight for 20.5X14.5 is around 65 grams, an impressive accomplishment in building a prop this size. Now MPI found ways to reduce their prop weight even further, in fact, they lowered the weight by another 33%. The new V2 prop I received (in picture) weigh in at 40 grams, which is about 1.4oz. The performance is identical to the original version; the throttle response seems to improve slightly as well, which could be the result of lower overall mass from the prop. In short, this is a definite keeper.

RE: New Krill Spark Evo I- Build Thread.....
ORIGINAL: lyka Hi Jon....Not in our case, below or above there is no difference. Just remember to have cut the stab tube two millimeters On the wings, no difference gap.
Hi Lyka, Thank you for the input. I am also having similar problem where stabs don't fit against the fuselage flush, so hoping you have some suggestions. Could you help explain further what does it mean by cutting the stab tube by 2mm? The fit, as I see it, is where one side (either top or the bottom) of the stab come in contact with the fuselage already, and that is preventing the other side of the stab from fitting against the fuselage flush. If your stabs fit against the fuselage properly, then perhaps it is just our plane that having the inproper fit. Thank you, Kevin

RE: Phoenix HV85 issue
ORIGINAL: shannah I doubt that this has anything to do with Cell towers or Cell phones. I think it may have more to do with the latest version of software. I previously thought that this unit had never been updated to the latest version 3.26, but now I'm not so sure about that. I may have updated it when I configured my other controller. It is at 3.26 now for sure since I uploaded the latest software into it after the problem occurred. Castle recommended rolling it back to version 3.2. I don't have that version any longer. So, if I get it from them I'll roll it back and move on.
Steve, Are you refer to the Castle Link firmware version or the ESC? The Castle link is now at version 3.26, but the firmware version for HV ESC is at 3.24, and the notes on their website has this information "Update: Added further protection against uncommanded settings erasure on Phoenix Ice series". Since you are using HV85 rather than the ICE series, this may not help anything. However, FWIW, I have been using firmware 3.20 on my HV85 since early this year without any issue. Kevin
ORIGINAL: Mastertech I've no idea. I just PNP this thing when I installed it.
Tim, Since you just PNP the ESC, it is default at auto endpoints. I would suggest to change that to fixed endpoints, but to do that, you will need to change it via Castle Link, and then set your endpoints on your radio manually. I have been using fixed endpoints for 2+ years, and it has always been very solid. Kevin

I was trying to update my 12Z with the latest software version 1.6.1., but after download the files into CF card, the transmitter is displaying "file not found" error messages, and after checking other model's zip files, it seems the update application file is missing from the 12Z zip file folder. RE: Battery Choice
ORIGINAL: DaveL322
Dave, Thanks. My experience is similar regarding the weight, but experiencing better power output with slight improved RPM, throttle response, and lower noise, which I believe is coming from lighter weight and firmer tip. Good to know that PT has similar performance. Kevin
Kevin, The one additional bit - as the electrics have grown in power (and RPM), APC has started to gradually ''beef'' up the E props (much stiffer torsionally). The 20x13E and 21x14E have been beefed, and they will turn more RPM at reduced noise levels (just as the CF props) compared to the original E prop. Throttle response is certainly better with lighter props, but that isn't really a concern (for me at least) with pattern style flying. I've also run the RASA 20.5x14 CF vs the APC 20.5x14, and they are indistinguishable (on my plane and logger), save the 1 oz weight difference. Regards,
Dave, Nice to know APC is also improving their E props. I have been running the RASA 20.5x14 for a while, like the performance and reduced weight, and the new 21x14 CF prop is another 10g less, at 65g. In addition, it has slight better pull compare to the RASA, not that I need it, but nice to have. I will be testing the same prop in 20.5x14 this weekend to see if it is similar to RASA, since they are the same size. Kevin
