RE: SMALL DISPLACEMENT FOUR STROKE GLOW TO GAS CONVERSION
Hello i am new to this forum i went back in the forum to try to find a suitable carb for the saito 125 i have , here i Croatia it is hard to get nitro and very expensive , i want to convert it but can’t find a WT 456-1 anyone have any ideas where i can look. Or what else I can use or just use the stock glow carb. do the o ring seals need to be changed or is it ok for gas in that situation. thank you

RE: U-Can-Do 60 build, intalling a DLE20
I started to work on the plane today after cooling down a few days . I know i should have reinforced the landing gear , but I did not know how bad it was. until I started to put it back tougher today , the triangle stock was not even close to being square there was a gap about 2 mm on one side so no support at all . and the ply with the two hole where the wing dowels go into did not have much glue at all to hold it to the side fuselage where you could see where glue was missing from the inside. so the side walls spread apart and then the hard wood with the landing gear just came out. so for everyone else glue the landing gear block from the inside.

RE: U-Can-Do 60 build, intalling a DLE20
Well i maiden today , but the second flight was not so good coming for a landing i did not judge the field to good and landed a little short , a farmer shorteng one side our feild about 45 feet and i hit mound in the ground and ripped off the landing gear .i am the third person to do that after our field was shortened , i found that the triangle blocks were not glued in square above the landing gear, but now i will glass epoxy then in so now more failures , but for the most part it flew grate , I bit on not consecrating will cost a few hours of repair.

RE: U-Can-Do 60 build, intalling a DLE20
I have a 46 and now a 60 with a dle 20,but for the 46 I will convert the gms 61 to gas it is more reliable I found a post how to make a hall sensor ring so it is a simple conversion , just need to modify the carb at low idle to make a good transition from low idle to full gas.

RE: U-Can-Do 60 build, intalling a DLE20
will work fine ,a perfect fit , a bit over powered , but need to do throttle management not to go to fast, motor started with a few flips and reliable idle with my new not broken in engine yet . With my u can do 46 and gms 61 always glow plug problems with not so good nitro fuel in Croatia , gas is simpler and easer and a hell of a lot cheaper here.

RE: U-Can-Do 60 build, intalling a DLE20
hi I am here in Croatia and just ordered the 60 with dle 20 , nitro is to expensive here to run my can 46 with a gms 61 good combo ,and I have to drive to 10 hours to Austria to get fuel at $40 for 10%. So I am converting to all gas this will be my 4 gas and will also convert my Saito 125 to gas .I wanted to ask you what prop are you using with the dle 20 and how is the prop clearance in the do 60?

RE: New LEO 110 build
I am finally uploading my leo vid some slow fly bys and close up of the saito idling. I did get the wheel pant fixed since the vid . yh Greg i did reinforce the inside of the landing gear strut area and the side walls inside , that held up grate no cracks or splits , but the bottom of the plane was impregnated with some thing so the resin did not hold on good so I sanded it and impregnated it my self . Now it is perfect. I did lower the front of the engine to see if that will help with keeping the plane flying level at idle , and mix elevator at full gas for now or I will change the mount to a hard mount at a later date.

RE: New LEO 110 build
hi greg , elvir here in croatia , i used the same fiberglass gear that my 27% cap 232 uses , and it is grate . it raised the plane so i could put a apc 16x6 prop with better clerance and it is unbelivable in how it absorbes the bumpy grass and a harder landings , i broke the landing gear because i had a dead stick as i was taking off and the plane was 10 feet in the air and as it came down i hit

RE: New LEO 110 build
Hi again, I finally got it up and running and got most of the kinks out, but then I found out that I was having a problem with air in the fuel line. so i tried out what i was told to put foam around the tank on the 4 stroke it was making the clunk jump and grab air , with the foam it was a day and night difference . Now I am going to put a big cotton filter as I have in my gas plane. I got the plane trimmed out with a little up elevator .and when I was flying very slow the plane went up. i see that the rubber engine mounts are flexing up and down at different throttle positions , i think i will gust mix in a little throttle and elevator to cure that. and the knife edge is rock solid . this is the first plane that i have that has good vertical with 10% nitro and extra 6 oz oil it will just keep on pulling up. so all in all i am happy with the leo 110 , still need to learn more about the saito 125 , it sure is different the my 2 strokes and gas engines , will post my new vid when i get if from my friend. let me know how is your coming out.
