RE: Not4Sale
The same guy who's name is on the plans. about the only harder things to make are the wing ribs and light ply fuse sides. the rest is made rom sticks and sheeting. pdf instructions below
ORIGINAL: 91shadowrider Who origonally sold the kit ? I didn't know there was a kit. Is there build instructions? If so could you e.mail me a copy? I bought one at a swap meet and stripped it down to re cover it. I had many hours in getting it ready to recover until my kid who was a baby at the time , layed down next to it and kicked it to death. I think he had a great time. I was devastated as I never got to fly it. I now have a set of plans and a build is in my near future.
Do you really think tail wires are needed ? just wondering. i have the origanl kit and an extra set of plans. i need to get building.. any build tips? thanks
ORIGINAL: Doog-meister Here's mine. ST .40 on the front. Waiting for a maiden. Need to re-do the pull-pull on the rudder to get rid of the slop there first. Added wire braces for the elevator, as it seemed too flexible.
RE: Kit Hoarding
I just find the plane kits i like alot and dont think i would want to be without . then instead of building that kit i make a copy/cut another kit from the original order the extra wood and i always have the original kit. just copy all the fuse formers and wing ribs and any light ply fuse sides extra. and you have a new kit.

RE: Help me convince Hobbico to reissue...
YEA i cant beleive nobody else for the cg ultimate thats the best flying bipe of all time. i read the posts and cant ever see myself buying stinger it was a cheap plane that i just didnt like. but a fun plane for a lot of people, as for the cg extra. i have seen a lot of them and they never looked quite right to me. i think its the cowling and the lines didnt apeal to me. all though i have seen them fly and the people who flow them seem to really like them. so i guess this one would be popular enough. i like the sukhio better than the extra, i just bought a cg sukhoi kit at a swap real cheap. vers 2 with the new fiberglas parts. and a cg ultimate kit for 100.00 earlier in the year at a swap. i ran out of money i could have had the cg extra kit for 70.00. and nobody bought it. hard to believe huh. i am like you guys i like to build. but from now on when i get i plane i like i order all the wood and just cut a new kit and keep the origianal for reference. there is just no money for kit makers any more and it makes me sad. these kit we like are for a better word out of style. every new guy wants to 3d fly the funny thing is most 3d flyers i see cant fly a plane strait or even know what a split s is or a hammer head. lol As for the Jungman yes i would buy a kit. but i can remember a few of them at the flying fields and everyone who owned on complained about the time and trouble putting it toghter at the field. great scale kit i think its worth the trouble. but i am sure if the goldberg ultimate was rerealesed it would out sell the jungman and extra very easy. My votes 1 cg ultimate 2 cg jugman 3 extra
ORIGINAL: J.Paul Saure Nobody will speak for the GB Ultimate??? I want one, I was going to get one this year... ...I thought they wouldn't discontinue "THAT" one!!! [:'(]
RE: ST2300
I have not see any supertiger eng run relibly except one the 4500. guys at our club had them in the past. the only way they could get them to run more reliable was they used a os. 7D carb on them. there was omeone who sold carb adaptors for the super tigers in the past but i dont know if there still around i havent used a supertiger eng in almost 8 years or bettter. i avoid them like the pleage. i sold mine very cheap. i dont see supertigers run at our club field anymore. and i wount own any supertigers again and you couldnt give me one. not worth the trouble or your plane

doy you have a link to a web page for the MAN plans #FSP07961 you used? thanks
ORIGINAL: Gray Beard This is the one I built from MAN plans #FSP07961, it's the Suk 29 with an 80 inch span, calls for a four stroke 1.20 but I made a few mods and used a Brison 2.4 40cc gasser. This was about a perfect flying machine until I forgot to pull out my TX antenna one day. That was a once and only thing and has never happened again!!![:(] Very easy build if you know how to sheet. Very light too if you build it stock. I plan on building another one, I enjoyed the build so much and was that thrilled with the plane.[;)]
RE: FPE 2.4 what oil are you using on your fpe 2.4
i know it get confusing here from the fpe site ? thats why i was wondering with newer oils what any owners of the fpe 2.4 were using Acording to this he recomeneds minerals.? or is belray MC-1 synthetic Suggested gas/oil mix: http://www.fpengines.com/docs/24doc.htm I have ran numerous brands of oil and recommend Bell Ray MC-1 at a 50:1 ratio or Golden Specto at a 50:1 ratio. I believe any good quality synthetic oil at the manufacturers ratio will be fine. If they give variable ratios, I recommend 50:1 ratio with high-test gas. Running oil contents with more oil than recommend can carbon engine or in the extreme case, could stick rings in piston

RE: Sukhoi SU-26 MX build
Cyberwolf Can you tell me how you had yours setup. did you have 2 elevator servos in the tail.? and the servos used./ i have a moki 1.8 but it think it might will be to much. I am looking for real good vertial upline and it to be able to do a torge roll now and then. but no 3d flying with it. i dont want to over do it and make it to heavy. looks like the os 1.60 would be the best 2 stroke for it. i was thinking a saito 1.80 might shake it apart. if anyone else want to chime in let me know what you had in yours. thanks

Bigal126 i wish i had the building experinece you have i would do the same. I wanted to know if anyone has built covered elevators or the rudder. it would be stronger and maybe help stop any elevator flutter. i guess i could use smaller sticks and the sheet with balsa to bring it back to size.

Hitec metal gear servos vs other brands.?
i am thinking of upgrading some of my older hitec 605 metal gear servos. on my cap232 and a giles 202 Are the any brands that are totaly metal geared.? not like hitec's metal gear set with the plastic drive gear. thats were the problem is on my hitec sevos' the plastic gear wears real fast and then the servo will fail. i thought about the hitech karbolite sevos but i here problems about them on 1/4 scale planes. i am worried about servo gear strenth on the bigger planes but dont like the slop of metal gears. also i dont ant to spend 100 buck on 1 dam servo if you know what i mean thanks _____________________________ www.flyingaeros.com Hide Signatures
