RE: Dead gyro?
I was testing the gyro again and it doesn't seem to be doing what it was doing before. Seems fine. I didn't yet get a chance to spool it up and get into a hover to try, but I will soon.

Dead gyro?
I crashed my b400 last week and just gone done rebuilding it. As I was setting it up, I noticed that the tail servo was barely moving when I did fill rudder to the right. When I did full rudder to the left the servo would move the the left fine, the only problem was when it moved to the right. Even when wagging the b400 in my hands, it would move to the left fine but barely move to the right. I bypassed the gyro completely and just plugged the servo into the AR6100. The tail servo works fine then, left and right, only when the gyro is connected is when it has problems. So anything I can do to fix it or just get another one?

Mini Rio
Spring time is coming so I need a new boat to play with. I was looking at mini boats, mini c,v rio and some others, and I decided on the mini rio. I was also looking at some other posts and decided to go brushless. What do you think of my set up? Is .098 good? http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=oct-oc098L-24c Can I use the stock tube or do I need a new one for the cable? coupler http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=oct-ocfhe18098 Can I still use the water intake system or do I need to add a Y harness and more tubing? Whats the best size prop to use too? Is there anything else I should either add or change? Thanks for the help.

RE: Why the delay?
I actually changed my mind, I find $170 too much for this little plane. I'm going to put this money to my Habu, possible doing a 5s setup. It's still annoying wait for a PNP plane that should be out. Maybe it will come out sooner. I'll sure to be getting it though.

Why the delay?
I checked in with my local hobby shop and they have the Micro 4 Site instock. The only problem that it is the BNF not the PNP. My local hobby shop guy said the PNP version won't come in until the end of February. I would hate to spend and extra $60 for another charge that I don't need, atleast it comes with 2 batteries. They make it so tempting to to buy it lol, I think I may go out and buy it. Did anyone else get it yet?

RE: RC boat with depth finder
ORIGINAL: Dan S casey, if you want you could also use one of these. http://www.smartcast-rf30.com/smartcast_rf30.htm Dan.
My vote would go with this. You could just tie it t0 the back of the boat. I have RF10, its the same thing but it has a larger screen in its own station instead of the watch. It works pretty good and I never had a problem with it, so I assume the RF30 will be no different. I searched google for the RF30 and found it for only $50, not a bad price at all. http://www.outdoorpros.com/Prod/Humminbird-550040-1-FISHFINDER-RF30-Smartcast-Smart-Pack/64692/Cat/1216?utm_medium=referral&utm_source=googlebase&cvsfa=1184&cvsfe=2&cvsfhu=3634363932

RE: My parkzone HABU
I'm going to try and fly mine tomorrow if the weather permits. I didn't have any 30c 4s lipos but I did have 4 2s 25c 4000mah lipos, so I hooked 2 of them up in series and I will see how that turns out. It's heavier than getting a 4s lipo by about 130-140 grams, so I'm going to see how that works out. Can't wait to try it.

RE: Walkera FP helis
I would also suggest getting a sim, it helps out so much. I would recommend getting phoenix, it's $120 but it is worth it. Personally I think it has the best heli physics plus they have a bunch of updates often for free. http://www.phoenix-sim.com/welcome.htm

Did you get to fly it yet? I like the overall look, especially the extra reinforcement for the tail boom. Looks like a mini 450 heli lol.

RE: need a bag
I haven't thought of that. I'll check out what walmart has and some other stores, and just make my own if I have to like Ron Olsen said. I thought there might be a bag made for it with pre-cut foam and what not.

need a bag
Where is a good place to get a bag for mt super vee 27. I am tired of trying to care everything in my pockets and what not. I want a bag that is hard on the bottom and sides and can unzip on the top to reveal the boat and also have some pockets on the side. I looked a two websites, but they didn't have anything long enough, probably because they were meant for rc cars and helis.

That looks pretty good. I will have to pick it up when i break my cnc head. It looks alot easier than a pin.

RE: Techniques and suggestions for working on the 4G3
The pins are very hard to get out especially if you have the metal head on it. I would try to push the pin through part of the way with like an ice pick and then use pliers to pull it out. I found it easier if you don't you needle nose pliers. The needle nose pliers just bend, I use regular short nose pliers(or whatever they are called, the regular kind or pliers), it seems like you can grip the pin better. I once cut my main shaft in half just to get those pins out. I hate those pins. I have seem pics of people use small paper clips as replacement for the pins. They just cut a piece of the paper clip off and wrap the extra around the main gear or the head. For the ball links, I try to get my nail behind it and just pull. Nothing really special that way.

RE: Walker 4G3 Brushless Flea ESC/2.9g Tail Upgrade
Is there a big difference in the performance between the walkera tail esc and the flea? If I use the 2.9 BL tail motor with the walkera tail esc will there be a big difference between that motor with the flea esc?

This is what I got. http://www.bphobbies.com/view.asp?id=V426371&pid=A3888170 No soldering, just plug everything in, plus you can adjust the voltage cut off from 2.5v to 3.5v. I haven't tried it yet though.

RE: What kinda of boat for open water?
Go for a nitro boat then. Alot more power but alot more maintenance.

RE: What kinda of boat for open water?
For choppier water you would want to get a V hull, calmer water you would want to get a catamaran for more speed. Also note that if there will be people around you and houses, you may want to get an electric instead of a nitro boat. Electric boats will be a lot quieter so you don't have the chance of people complaining about the noise. If you don't have any experience with a nitro engine, you may want to get an electric boat. Nitros can be alot of hassle especially if you don't know what you are doing, electrics are more low maintance. Hope that helps. And I don't know anything about the thundercat 31.

No, it wasnt wot, it was more like 3/4 maybe a little less. Just before it broke I gunned it and then it broke. I am using the stock prop and why ditch the batteries? I only used them 4 times and they were expensive.

Mine is pretty simple, just 2 carbon fiber rods wire tied to the landing skids. Nice and light.

Ok, thanks. There are 2 on offshore electrics. I don't know which one to get. Octura 3/16" drive dog with a 5/16" outer diameter. or Octura 3/16" large drive dog with a 3/8" outer diameter I am using the stock prop.

drive dog
I was driving my super vee 27 all nicely until suddenly it stopped. I the drive dog broke. Luckily I could stil partially drive and bring it in. What size drive dog do I need because I want a metal one so it doesn't break again? I think I need a 3/16" but I am not 100% sure. RE: Charging
Yes its very important to balance them. If you don't balance them then eventually the cells will have very different voltages and you will end up either over discharging a cell and end up killing a cell or your lipo will not fully charge. Most lipo chargers have a balancer in them. If yours doesn't then buy your self a balancer.

RE: 4#3b vs Walkera 4G3
I don't have a 4G3 or a 4#3b but I know that the 4G3 is a variable pitch heli which is why it can do 3D. The 4#3b is fixed pitched heli so there is no 3D, but this will be easier to fly than the 4G3. Since the 4G3 is so small, its not very stable and the controls are very sensitive so this might not be the best choice. You are better off going with a bigger heli like a Blade 400 or something else that size, the bigger the heli the most stable it is. Plus with the Blade 400 you get a nice transmitter also so you can adjust settings in the TX to tame down the B400 to make it easier to fly. I also heard good thing from the CP Pro 2, just stay away from the first CP Pro. Although if you want something smaller and not as expensive as a bigger heli then go with the 4#3b, it won't be as much as a handful as the 4G3 will be. That's my input, I probably missed some stuff so if any one wants to add on or correct me go ahead.

Walkera 4G3B
I am thinking about getting the 4G3B Pro Brushless. It should be pretty fun flying this inside too. Where is the best place to get this? I have been searching and hobby-wing.com comes up a lot and so does ehirobo.com, which one is better?. Also what about spare parts? Is chinesejade.com a good side? You guys have any suggestions on what I should do once I get the heli, like any upgrades? Is it worth converting it to spectrum or is the rx and tx good? Also is it true that I can use parts from the Novus cp on this heli? Thanks!
