RE: Weatronics crisis control - need help
Mario, Same happened to me around a year ago.Had many mails etc. to weatronic as well as on the support Forum with no explanation. What I finally did is although I dont exactly remember is I opened the case cover touched nothing but found a usb interface and to connect that to a notebook solved the problem.Never happened again. I am absolutly way off with electronics. It was just curious trying helplessly but it worked. I very much hope it helps. I cant see any drawback ont trying since you barely do anything. Scott, try www.der-schweighofer.at in Ausria they carry the tomahawk line as well as stocking them. You may even get a better price than from tomahawk direct. I have bought one from them ,and often buy some other stuff. They are indeed a good company. Regards, Eray

RE: Weatronic 2.4 RF diagnostic tool
Hi Alan, tonight while doing some testing again I found that if I use micro 10 III gyro instead of the 12 I get absolutely no dips. If you find the time do you mind repeating your test with a receiver other than the 12 ch... I know its the tx frames that dipp but hell knows why ı simply am getting perfect curves with 10ch receiver. Regards, eray

RE: Weatronic 2.4 RF diagnostic tool
Alan, I have the same thing with my 10x here I really am worried , cause I have lost 2 planes in two weeks with the second definetly being some radio issue.Very stupidly I had forgotten to install the memory card which I was trying to examine after the first crash. So no log of the second crash . You may read more about the incident and the cooments on previous pages 2 or pages ago. However still having no t figuredb out what went wrong (battery or reciever or module..etc) I have changed to a dv 4 module and have been trying to do simulation anytime I get the chance.. And ever since I have been experiencing the same thing here 3 minutes or so a quick blink on the green light ,frames dowened severly. But never experienced a servo jump,or atleast I did not realize. Lets hope that it shall be cleared soon. Regards Eray

Harry , one thing I forgot to ask.. During the last 2 sessions of which I have sent the log files, neither the tx nor the receiver have been touched or moved...do you still think its ok to have such dips in frames? Regards Eray

RE: Weatronic 2.4 RF diagnostic tool
Harry, I had two batteries connected to one port. I made no changes what so ever... Regarding servos or servo sockets the taileron servos were intact after the crash.. Meanwhile,to simulate I have connected the same battery to the receiver from the f-15 and also switched on the tx for almost an hour now... Interestingly I saw by chance couple of times the red light blink on the tx. May I kindly ask you to take a quick look at the log files please. I really am great full to you for your kind help, Regard Eray

RE: Weatronic 2.4 RF diagnostic tool
Hi , first of all I would like to thank every one trying to help. Harry, -The aileron was servos 2 and 9 -Yes gyros were set up and checked for proper direction. -You are wright the flight was very short..The later (with the prop was couple of minutes) - The battery was not damaged at all since the F-15 somehow must of recovered slightly behind the hill it dove, because the hit was from the bottom exactly where the turbine was actually . so absolutely no nose damage... -Gyro gain was set to variable using channel 8 for both rudder and ailerons... -The prop plane was set up only with aileron mix on the tx (jr 10x) ..so no mix was used on weatronic.. -The second crash (prop) was just in front of me so I am sure it was a lockout with 3 fractional recoveries. -Do you find the rf link quality acceptable during the whole flight? And regarding the battery I'm testing it under 3amps load still does not go below 5.7 v... I am so confused...Is there anyway I can check the system on ground? Thanks again, Eray

RE: Weatronic 2.4 RF diagnostic tool
Hi, I have been a very happy weatronic user /fan since the 72mhz although I use very few of the features being a 'seldom sunday flier' unfortunately I lost a jet(FB F-15) last week and was not quite sure if I had somehow stalled it since it was the second flight on the jet and Ia m absolutely no seasoned pilot. The plane started acting just a minute or two after take off ; -first a trim change on the elevator was necessary ,then aileron...weird but I had maddened it an hour or so ago so (with shaking knees) I did not suspect any thing. -then on a right turn the plane simply started a strange move (wild dive) followed by a whirl ...and bang.....Reciever micro 12 III batteries 2 Lİfe 2300 well charged I could not exactly figure the reason but simply took the blame and thought I somehow stalled it although I was not slow at all.. Now ,today I flew my everyday prop plane and after about 3-4 minutes during level flight a wild right bank of about 30 degrees followed by two more half a second after as if doing a 4 point roll and dive into the ground. There was absolutely no radio control. receiver micro 10 III battery Life 2300 (it was one of the batteries out of the crashed F-15) I have all my equipment switched to weatronic and am dead scared and will not fly until I know what went wrong.. the only thing I had done a few weeks ago was to update to 2.56 The LOG file of the first crash exists ,but I had forgotten to put the sd card back in today... Please, -Can someone confirm that they have been flying firmware 2.56 with no problem, _and can someone help me with the log file..I simply do not understand enough to come to a conclusion. Thanks in advance, Regards Eray Savci

RE: Weatronic 2.4 RF diagnostic tool
Hi, just an update on the information I got: -The new management is fully aware of the problems regarding customer service. -3 New staff will be employed for this purpose basically. -We should not expect a major improvement before the end of the year. -The company will move to it's new premisses within the large 'Grunding' building that also belongs to the 'KOC' group. -This will have a major positive impact on the companies production/and communication as well as logistics capabilities. -The 'New Transmitter' is targeted to be ready at the end of 2012 as a satisfied customer of 'Weatronic products' I think this is good news. RE: Weatronic 2.4 RF diagnostic tool
Hi everyone suffering from customer device at Weatronic, Today I had the chance to meet some guys close to the company who has overtaken Weatronic. First of all I believe it's good news for all of us Weatronic users to know that the company who has overtaken is not just some company but a multi-billion dollar group intact the biggest in Turkey. The owner himself is a modeler. They are planning to strengthen the team over at Wetronics ,but it will take some time. However I do believe things will be much better and a company with superb products will be able to deliver parallel customer service. Just one thing I would like to add which is absolutely my personal experience;do not expect the same customer service understanding as in the US anywhere else. Regards Eray Savci

Hi Serkan, well there are indeed some of us crazy jet lovers down here (Istanbul) ..In Izmir there is even a larger community..Anyway a F-15 is pretty much just as simple to fly as a low wing prop (well almost) .. We have maidened an F-15 SM just last weekend in Hazerfen. And the pilot is only 14 years old. Just let us know if you have any questions we would be more than willing to help. Regards Eray Savci
