RE: EasyTiger Turbine T-45 All Fiberglass including Wings!
Bought a small foamie from him, excellent deal and loved the plane. In fact, liked it so much that I am working in a scaled up version of it. Nothing to say about Curtis but good things. Enrique

RE: Bandit ARF CG w/P-80 & large hopper?
Hello Herman: You need to rotate the aircraft over the main wheels to achieve takeoff. This cannot be done if you don´t have enough downforce on the elevator at the takeoff run. You may need extra elevator throw or perhaps more speed at takeoff specially if there is a significant shift on the CG caused by the hopper tank.... This is one of the reasons that I installed canards on this two jets. I have a extra force applied on this airplanes allowing the takeoff run be as short as I want. Like Mr.Matt and B.Man suggested, increasing the elevator throw will resolve the problem, or if you prefer, use a 120 N thrust engine or even try to fly from a longer runway. Enrique
Enrique, you have only bad equipments. you are a serious candidate to buy clones. already has some. I send pictures of this clones later..... I feel very sorry for you. Enrique

RE: BVM Bandit cloning in Brazil
ORIGINAL: anonfly
ORIGINAL: AMA234 I find it very interesting that the original poster joined TODAY and also posted this information on his 1st post and didn't even sign his name to his post. I am betting that he is the one cloning the models and posted the links to attract people to his site in hopes of sales. If we were allowed to I would call him an idiot; but since we aren't allowed to I will refrain from doing so. Les
AMA234, I'm brazilian too and flying jets for many years! I'm RCU member but i decide to create a new profile to make this information arrive in BVM factory and friends. I think that patented products copy is not correct. Copies as Skymaster, ZN line, Carden and BVM now! Please i prefer keep my anonimous. Tks
What a despicable and coward action you have just done, throwing feces on other country´s forum under a anonimous name. Gustavo Alonso is a small r/c builder wich would love to sell original BVM airplanes as a rep, but our country´s economic and legislative status simply make this impossible for a living. You can bet he will never sell one of them in Texas or Europe.. neither many in our own country, as most turbine guys here already prefer to buy the originals from BVM. I can only think that you are in a personal vendetta with Gustavo and not very worried about what is right or not. Sorry to see a presumably jet modeler acting like this.. Enrique

RE: Skymaster F-16 1/8 Leading Edge Flaps, Air Brakes and Operating Canopy
Nice pics and thanks for posting them, but for practical purposes the hinge method ilustrated in Guillermo´s post seems safer for a r/c model.. I like the way the slat "seats" on the wing leading edge.

RE: Building and Flying the B-2 Stealth Bomber
ORIGINAL: Hugh Heffner Wow, a real plastic B2 model. Dude, that is almost as big an acheivement as the guy building a B1 with 4xp200's truly impressed. The detail work is.......wow when are you going to ''fly'' your plastic model? Maybe you can maiden it next to the B1 RC model. That would be awesome. Does RCU even have a plastic model section this post could be moved to?
Some people use small plastic models as a reference for a big scratch built project... there is nothing wrong in posting them here, In my opinion. just the opposite. Now let the guy express himself and show his work in his own way in this B-2 thread.

A good thing in this project is that you can´t have problems with rudders, elevators or the fuselage.. Good luck with it Bryce, and keep the pics coming. Of course, halloween custom pics, dolls, or whatever you want are welcome too. [;)] Enrique

I think that you can find Marvin Alvarez as MarvinF14 in RCU or at www.makosrcjetclub.com wich filmed that and his father built the plane.. maybe he could chime in here for the info?

RE: Why P120 size is so little popular
The 1/5 SM MB339 is very good and a joy to fly.. however the best results with it are with a Titan or a Rhino, specially on grass. The F15 is a great and easy flying plane for a 120, but perpendicular telescopic gear legs and grass runways don´t mix too well!

A Flash with trailing link struts would be a excellent choice for you, considering your requirements and previous experience. at some distance, it doesn´t look like a sport jet, put a small pic on purpose. [;)] Enrique

RE: Jetjoe 3000 turbine
Some of you guys really need to get over yourselves. Stop preaching and start doing something about making these things more affordable. You can’t keep pushing that “you’re paying for the R&D wheel-barrow forever. How many years has it been now? Unless, of course, you want this to remain a truly elitist hobby.
You are getting the wrong message, this people is trying to help you to get into turbine flying spending less money and improving your chances of joining this sport. If they where true elitists, they would keep their mouth shut or say to you instead, "Cool turbine BJ, I bet it will work as well as the $1k more expensive ones in your future project and keep us informed how well or bad it is going."

RE: Jetjoe 3000 turbine
Tim, you are a lucky guy for having people like Mark (Woket) and Leon (Jetjunky) enlighten you! [sm=thumbs_up.gif],, Mark is a long time RCU friend and one seriously competent guy to discuss this kind of things and Leon is one of the coolest and also competent r/c modelers I ever met. For the people reading this and thinking that I am another cheap turbine basher, no I am not. I understand the motivation and general desire for a affordable turbine but for now, if you want to do things right, spend a little more in the initial investiment (just Us$1k) and you will have a much greater chance of success on the sport. Don´t try to be by proxy the product development test dummy for any company, as flying r/c jets is already challenging! Best regards to all, Enrique.
