RE: BAD weather meeting...in Bankrupted Cyprus!!
ORIGINAL: lookilook Well my friends , we tried to fly our Jets so as to forget the economic crisis that caught us by surprise but even the weather is against us nowdays... so we thought to use bad weather conditions and turn them in our favor . Christos (cairoman) provided the meat and all the rest helped to digest it!!! We had a great day despite only a couple of jets flown and a lot of talking regarding latest news on jet world took place the whole day.!! we hope to have a jet meeting soon as the jet community in Cyprus has increased remarkably over the last 2 years.
Sorry to hear about your unprecedented economic crisis. Bad wheather last week our end was also not welcomed over here, but at least you get to have some nice runways to fly your jets.... We are not as lucky lately in Lebanon and we are searching for suitable runway. Would appreciate to know the date when you will hold the jet meeting in Cyprus, there is a good chance that undersigned and a couple of freinds would attend (as spectators of course)... Cairoma, long time no talk, maybe this would be a good opportunity to finally meet... All the best , Regards, Dany
Cairoman, Thanks for the offer, but i will not be lgoing from Beirut but from Paris... Leaving next Monday to Oslo, Paris and Germany....with the family!!! Looking forward to see you there. There is also a second Lebanese joinning from Switzerland. It will be our first Jet Power but surely not the last... Regards,

RE: Fei Bao f-15
The new F-15 is not yet set. The previous one had 5955's on elevators and they used to buzz on nutral but would stop when/if you release pressure on servos by holding surface lightly.

these are digital servos. do they buzz(normal under weight of moving surface)? Do they both jitter the same way even if not connected to a pushrod/moving part?

RE: Fei Bao f-15
I have to be honest with you. Owner Christophe is one unique guy who would never let you down for any enquiry or problem you may encounter in any of your retracts conversions. He is running the business along with an associate and they are most of the time behind schedule due to the high demand of their products. If you're not in a hurry, i would definitely recomend that you go this avenue, i beleive it is really worth it. i am converting all my pneumatic gears, gear doors airbrakes and operational canopies with their products. One last thing, beleive they are now on vacation (at least Christophe) and maybe you should get in touch with them next week. They always reply on emails. PS. I have done the conversion myself, it is fairly easy... Regards,

Thanks for the feedback on the blocks. Have solved the retract and gear door issue by converting them to electric!!! works perfect and way easy to install...

RE: Fei Bao f-15
Same here, i have received mine some 3 months ago after waiting for almost 7 months!!! a lot of questions and disapointments are yet tobe solved.... there are 2 huge ply blocks marked "for Jetcat turbine", which ever way i try to install them i end up with turbine being way above ceterline and no way to install tailpipe. Has anyone received/used those blocks?? On a different note, i had ordered also the airbrake, but this one has a huge opening and feels very brittle (very different from my previous F-15's airbrake). i am not feeling confortable with this one at all and would appreciate if anyone has had same install and tested it in flight. One other major disapointing issue is the weathering of my jet which apparently was done sparately for each and every part of the F-15!!! When put together you realize that the end result is a total flop.... Regards,

RE: How should we programe brake functions in TX?
i use a jet tronics single action valve connected to the snap roll switch to control my brakes. With a little practice, your finger will know how to apply "proportional" brake in avery efficient way. Never had any issue since i switched to this setup. Regards,

they are pretty strong. as long as your movement is smooth i.e. loose enough with no binding untill the end of your required movement, you'll be fine. Regards,

RE: Lado e-doors - dimensions ??
Here's my solution for the Lado E-Door actuators: simply cut a piece of tygon tube and slide it on the shaft, lenght of tygon is to be determined according to travel movement needed. no other device is needed and it works perfectly. actuator will stop once tygon reaches plastic base. Hope this helps.

Gear Doors, What is the best/easiest way to install??
Hi Guys, Have just received an F-15D kit which was supposed to have gear doors already installed. i have tried to figure out best way to do this nasty job but i was not able till now to find the proper way to do it without risking of messing up things. I just hate the trial and error process and was wondering if there would be any easy method to complete this part of the build. thanks in advance for your advice and input. Best regards,

RE: Brakes, lube or no lube, flatspotting tires, etc
Jim, This could easily be fixed by attaching a rubber band to the desired switch and fixing the other end on the back of your TX. Not very pretty but as efficient....

RE: Brakes, lube or no lube, flatspotting tires, etc
I have my brakes on the springued (snap roll switch) switch. Extremely convenient and BTW using the old Jettronic single action valve in either mods. Works perfect and no one can ever notice that i am not using a fully proportional braking system, it's all in the fingers.... Very easy, simple and fully reliable!! regards,

RE: Loose CF wing tubes!!!
Thank you all for sharing your experiences and suggestions. I built another Boomerang for a freind at the same time but his was bought a few months later than mine and this Boomer dioes not have the slack problems it even has 4mm bolts to hold stab on the boomes while mine still has the 3mm bolts. After reading above lines, iwas wondering if a coat of finishing resin applied by brush would be a workable solution??? Thanks, Regards,
