what is the cause of this problem with my magnum 91 4 stroke?
My Magnum 91 4 stroke starts fine, but as soon as i remove the glow plug connector the engine starts to loose speed and quits and this happens at full throttle. My guess was faulty glow plug but even after replacing the plug the same problem persists. Any idea what can be causing this?

Dear dave, before i could try this i made a big blunder. I was trying to adjust the valves and i broke one of the screws while tightening it. In Any case im sending you the engine again so that you can have a look at the above mentioned problem and also replace the screw and do a complete service. Thnx

why does my magnum 91 4 stroke run like trash after valve adjustment?
My magnum 91 4 stroke was not performing upto par. I adjusted the valves perfectly and the engine had perfect compression. but as soon as i started the engine it ran no more than 6000 rpm and died on idle. When i checked the compression by hand it was almost zero. any idea what might be wrong?

A starting problem with dingo.
Dear Dave, Ever since my Dingo has returned from ys service it has been running fine. However, theres still one problem that i am not able to solve. When i have to start the engine i have to put some fuel in the carburetor to help it fire. If i dont put any fuel in the carburetor the engine does not suck fuel on its own no matter how much i run it with the starter. Even if i try to prime the engine it will not suck any fuel. The only way is putting fuel in the carburetor and once it fires up then it starts to suck fuel on its own. Any idea what might be wrong?

I just bought a magnum 91 4 stroke. The engine runs fine at full throttle and half throttle but as soon as i bring the stick below half throttle the engine quits. Any idea what might be wrong here?

Why is magum 91 4 stroke so underpowered?
I installed a magnum 91 4 stroke in my world models spitfire. my question is that my magnum is so underpowered that it hardly manages to pick up the plane in the air. Ive used fuel with 10% nitro but still not enough power. Plane is only 7 lbs and world model suggests a 70 4 stroke for this plane. Is there any way this engine can run to its maximum potential or they are just weak engines made out of factory?

A question about Magnum 91 4 stroke?
I just bought a magnum 91 4 stroke for my world models spitfire. my question is that what is the optimal setting on the high speed needle valve for this engine. The instruction say to open the needle 2.5 turns and then lean from there. I keep leaning until the needle reaches only 1 turn open from fully closed, is that normal or something wrong with my engine?

Dear dave, my dz runs perfectly on full throttle but does not idle as well as i want it to be. I have messed up with the regulator and now it is way off from the factory setting. Can you tell me what is the factory setting of the regulator from fully closed?(when you turn it clockwise at one point it is fully closed and does not go in anymore) can you tell me how many turns i should turn anti-clockwise to achieve the factory setting? thnx

What can cause my dingo to act this way?
Dear dave, I have been running my dingo succesfully ever since it has returned from you after being repaired. However, after about 25 flights my engine has started to act differently. The problem is that the engine quits in air after about 3-4 minutes. I tried 4 times and all 4 times the engine would quit in the air after about 3-4 minutes. I checked for fuel line leaks, replaced plug but no avail. Is there anything else i should check to solve this problem? compression is fine and the engine starts on the first flick. thnx

what is tappet adjustment and how do you do it?
I am new to four strokes and have around 20 flights on my ys 4 stroke. Recently the engine has started to quit in the air and the compression is not as strong as it was before. I am assuming that its time to do some tappet adjustment. what i want to know is that what exactly is tappet adjustment and what is the right way of doing it. Also is less compression a syptom that the engine needs some tappet adjustment?

why isnt my dingo idling for long?
dear Dave, I finally got my dingo back and it is running fine on high end. However the engine is not idling for long. The problem is that when i bring the throttle back to idle the engine dies within 1 or 2 minutes. I have tried to trim the throttle to a higher idle but still the problem persists unless the idle is so high that it is too fast for landing. Any idea on how i can let the engine idle. High end power is perfectly fine. I am using a 17x12 prop with 10% nitro, 10% klotz and 10% castor oil. Thnx

dave got my dingo back from ys now i need some info before running it.
Hi dave, As you know i sent my dingo to be repaired to ys performance in usa. They have sent the engine back after repairing it. Before i run the engine again i want to ask you something. Before i was running the engine with a 17x12 apc prop and only 5% nitro. you said that this will put a lot of strain on the engine. Now i am thinking of putting a 16x8 prop and 10% nitro, 10% klotz, 10% castor and rest methanol. Do you think this set up is ok?

RE: what can cause my g26 to shut 3 seconds after starting?
also tkg i can feel the air going in and out when i turn the prop. you said that the hole in the cylinder should be aligned with the hole in the carburetor. as per instruction the hole in the cylinder is aligned with the hole in the brown intake, but the hole in the carburetor is not exactly aligned with the hole in the brown intake, it is aligned with the round grooved area of the brown intake which has the hole in it. if i try to align the hole in the cylinder with the hole in the brown intake and the hole in the carburetor straight out then the carburetor will not be in a position as described in the manual.

RE: what can cause my g26 to shut 3 seconds after starting?
so you mean to say that the pulse is not working right that is why the engine quits after every 3-4 seconds? ok how about this. what if i open the choke about 1/4 from close and then start the engine. will the engine run ok then? also how do i fix this pulse problem? also when i open the carb plate with 4 screws it has a rubber sheet with diaphragm on it. do you want me to remove the rubber sheet and diaphragm and check for the needle underneath it? the other side with 1 screw has a gasket and a transparent cover, should i look for anything on that side too?
