RE: s9253/s9254 futaba servo HELP!
my s9253 gear set from towerhobbies has one gear which is smaller then the stock gears in my s9254. its the one that connects directly to the servo motor. once its on the pin it won't even make contact with the gear on the motor. Is this normal.

don't mind him ralphfly, my advice would be just to stay away. you can't tell those type of people they're wrong, just agree then walk away. you'll see what I mean if you stand back and watch this threat you'll notice that gregw has to always have the last say[8D]

you know what, yes I made the mistake of not having confirmation of shipment, this I agree. Also you agreed on no insurance due to it being expensive(approx 100.00 to china). I have no insecurity in the area of my integrity. as for saying you where harassing me, yes this I stated. anyone can see from this thread how I could come to this conclusion. just read your own writing. would you want to work with someone who speaks to or writes to you this way, let alone believe the things you accuse. Its obvious that you won't let this go even though you have been entirely compensated. your the type that must have the last word in edge wise. as for me I refuse to take this thread any further with you and will go back to my happy life and with threads where people learn and teach each other and enjoy doing so. I will not respond any further good day, and peace.

no sir I'm out 506.00. I still have some spare parts to the logo's if you would like.ball links, pinions, mixing arms, fiberglass rotor blades, stock swashplate with missing ball, vertical and horizontal fin set,a thrust bearing set, as well as a decal set. but I think I'll keep all these for the day I can go beyond the corona and maybe back to the larger helis. Yes I have learned a lesson but not do to dishonesty.I also take pride in my integrity

you know what gregw you need to move on, you have no idea what helicopters I've owned and what I've pieced together through my experiences. I was parting together helicopters before I ever learned to fly my first rc. your comments where uncalled for and wrong but I guess I would probably do the same in your shoes. But go ahead and keep the comments coming and I'll do my best to deal with them. I make no judgement as to your character. even though I can't prove that your an honest man or not!, I assume that you are. The chargeback was a learning experience for me(need proof of shipment). I believe that this is a forum for peaceful & friendly conversing and learning. I lost 506.00 you did not.

RE: go all out or get in the air now
USAF dover, c-5 crew chief. I've been in rc jets and flying wings for a while. like you I want a good heli and just purchased the lmh. I already had the radio and basics. I purchased the basic corona kit and some upgrades. best thing I can say is do like I plan, fly it in the cheap stock form once you get better then add the upgrades. as with all flying rc hobbies your going to crash its only a matter of time so don't start spending the big bucks till your good. One exception to the rule would be go brushless with a mega 16/15/3 and a castle creations esc 45amp. the extra power may actually save you from many crashes.

corona 16/15/3 pinion ?
I notice that a lot of corona owners fly with the hacker C40 12S and 9t pinion.now if I use my mega 16/15/3 with say a 10t pinion My calculations show that I should get pretty close to the hacker in comparison. Of course the 11t pinion will actually give more power but I think that would really push the amps on the mega. anyone using the 10t with the 16/15/3 and if so how is your performance.

RE: corona ???
yes your right. I have no problem with the patience of building, I think that's my strong piont. putting together a nice plane or heli isn't my problem. I think its the fine tuning. When I get out to a field I want to fly and if somethings not quit right instead of packing it up and getting back to the drawing board I tend to push it. I already have most of the stuff thanks to my rc jets, including a gyro. The corona I can probably fine tune in front of my house. maybe this will help with my patience

RE: corona ???
thanks mini boy, in my mind I'm still a rookie when it comes to heli but as long as I can get in an occasional loop or two I think the corona should keep me happy for a little while and allow for some training in the patience area. I'm still like a kid in a lot of ways when it comes to taking my time and doing it right. I know I need to slow down but excitement always pushes me along. maybe the corona will be more forgiving until I grow up some.

RE: corona ???
yes I did fly the logo if you can call it that as well as my raptor 60 & 30 which I also sold. As you said the hard part was all the trimming and time required to train. I hope the corona will be easier to start with. once I took up my 30 raptor I decided that maybe a 60 would handle the wind better, then thought maybe an electric would be easier so as not having to mess with breaking in and fusing with an engine when all I have ever known is electric. so hence came the logo 10. she flew a couple feet off the ground and then came back the problem with trimming and the fact that I was very limited on spare time back then. I am awesome at flying high speed electric brushless jets, so I know I have the reflexes, and I can hold my own on a simulator but I have to admit that I have no idea what you meant about all the different acrobatic verbs. I have alot to learn and I believe this is the place. So I sold the logo and now I'm back.. I hear the spirit of heli calling[:D] to add to my problem I sold the logo 10 to a fellow forum gentlemen who claimed to not receive all of the logo and turned in a complaint to his credit card company. Like the stupid I am, I tried to save a few bucks by not using delivery confirmation. Little did I know that if I couldn't prove shipment then I was at fault and had to cough up $506.00. to this day the person thinks I'm a thief. lesson learned and now that I've recovered I want a corona....that's my novel... peace out.

corona ???
hey guys I'm going to buy a corona for my second heli. I bought a logo but sold it because I want to start with something less expensive to repair in the event of a crash. my question is, I know it does't have collective pitch but does it have the power to roll and loop with a brushless set up. Or is this simply a heli that flys and banks.

RE: Motors and Controler for Corona
first buy what combos are recommended from hobbiest that already are set up. then prepare yourself for a lot of learning. the electric hobby is awesome but much to learn. I have found that their really are no good books, that's because the hobby is more learned from others and self experience. as far as a good program, you absollutely need motocalc if you plan on really getting involved. what ever systems you run is very important to have batteries that can supply that amps required so battery study is a good place to start. www.yourzagi.com is a great site

RE: Flying a wing in the front yard
yes I fly my zagi in the front yard, but remember a few things. first make sure you have enough room to come in for the landing, too many trees will cause some problems. fly your wing first in say a large field until your completely comfortable with its flying characteristics. also be willing to except the possibility that if something does go wrong then the plane will either be lost or find its way on a roof, and don't fly if its too windy. ele bees are great slow flyers also. also keep in mind that I fly with brushless so if I do get in trouble when coming in for a landing I have alot of power to recover and try again. to me the zagi and other flying wings are the easiest planes to fly so if your a pro with a flying wing then go for it if not wait until you are[:D]

RE: Has anyone flown an EPP fighter from northeast sailplane?
I would go with the kan cells for more power and use maybe a 6x4 electric apc prop. this will pull around 13amps(which is max for the kans), as far as servos the less the better for weight I would use two, make sure your radio can mix. be aware this plane will fly at least 3x as fast as what your used to flying. stick to half throttle (if you can) until your comfortable. flight time will be round 5min.

RE: Has anyone flown an EPP fighter from northeast sailplane?
the mig and su 27 are very nice. recommend you go brushless with a mega 16/15/4 and the 8 cell kans, a 480 brushed motor will be cheaper but also heavier and harder to fly.have you flown any other aircraft?

I don't use plans. I go off photos that I print from the net and try to keep it as scale as possible. Its not too tuff really. plans are for people in love with balsa and those perfectly scale models. I'm sure I'll be one of those people some day but right now as long as it looks good and flys fast then I'm happy here's some new photos
