RE: HobbyKing Tuff Trainer
the Rubberband I use fits around a writst losely that be bout a 4 inch opening. Like said yougots to overlap, overlap, overlap. Yet to wait for such a long time, would be putting a dispute in on a online purchase. they got paid, they can care less I guess. understanding the Plane has no spare parts, no fuse, no wing , no tail not a thing. it is not a major ompanies plane. I learned that before I purchsed and expected things like the bat door, Balsa to crumble in hand. But not EPP. so it is up to you to decide to replicate. or keep orginal. $37.00 for a New Plane is not bad at all. for all those spare parts. Oh Gumby thank you.

RE: HobbyKing Tuff Trainer
Chuck: 1. take any type of Plastic, if it is from a DVD case, a hotel key card, creditcard. and cut to the size needed, and you got yourself a new battery door, even the plastic can as well shape a new holder, that is what I done, I always have a rubberband on the nose so wires wrap around and give that extra support. it also is a spare Prop saver band. 2 take any type of rubberband and place one end on, overlap the other side and back around to the other screw, overlap, till it is around and looped on the prop, if need a demo I believe it was on my video's will do at a later time. So forget those cheap O-rings the rubberband will do better, even at a 99 centstore you can obtain bands for a buck. The Tuff Trainer/Funfly is not a trainers plane for Airlons not a great design to get itto work, especially being at a low height. You may be asking for a crash, that is how I feel, just me. a little umph and she will fly in wind, I have no issues pushing the Funfly at all, . hope the info I provided will get you repaired. RE: Techone Hobby Funfly Trainer review & maidon
Here are some Pics, a 36 in" wingspan fitting in the car just fine, some ariel shots today flying, from an 808 keychain cam on a hat off the editor a video frame. And the Plane. a 2208 motor, the front of the plane notice no front windowdecal, and under the main wing notice the support I placed, and the battery tray holder notice the hotel, creditcard slot. The tail has no landing gear, but a black peice of stick, I have yet put a tail wheel on. I only go over grass. Also the Landing gear today came off. i wrap the wires of a altameter around it saved it from fully flying away. I will make a string vs glueing. I may place a layer of tape to enforce in. Today I was all over, otherdays i am fine, the wind, I guess, and wetness in air. If you are interested, i as well am awaiting a few parts for the Electrifly flyLite, She is a lighter weight plane Identical to the Funfly. The tuff Trainer as well is the twin from Hobbyking. BH BP Hobbies I believe they are up in New Jersey Hillsborogh. I was looking at the E-Areo Eagle, from a mag. I may pay them a visit when I am near them. All in all I have a champ, a super cub, now a slow stick and Flylite. I take the Funfly out today. wind or not I like her becasue I am able to handel a 36 inch wingspan in the park I fly just fine. Not many are interested at the other place all they care about is BS stuf.. As long as I am happy that to me is all that matters. I am happy you are interested in the Plane.. Lazertoyz.com $59.99 the full kit $89.00 I say Pass on the AIrlons I did try today no good nothing shown, I had turned the other day who knows, just makes the wing weaker in the center. There is one more hobby online forgot the name $#4.00 There you go. RE: Slow stick Forum!!
Thought I tackle the SS this weekend. I completed my Flylite build, jut need a conector. I am on hold wit hteh Slowstick, tired, and at the point where the instructions were not clear. I can manage and make some sense of the itructions. I may want to get some hop up parts. and Understand If I put all stock together. and want to add the landing gear all the parts must come off, possably forh te rear I can just unscrew the boom connector and swap off? The LG is weak the wheels caster Inward. unsure if I want to spend $15.00 for landing gear, but if I am adding a go pro in the future I should get the ones that will hold the weight? the one's like from Mellenium or posted above? If all other parts are of a color, all I need to do is just get some color and paint.? rather spend. I really enjoyed putting her together. where I stand is placing on the wing, rods electronics. I am taking a break for now. I will decide later to order or not. if not I will build her, mark wher my CG lays and when CCC cool calm and collective maidon this Beast. WHy I did not get one in the first place. Is beyond me.

title said all. Techone Hobby Funfly trainer It is a plane that can handel the wind way better than the champ. My champ is on the side I will fly her again when its dead clm. delicate is the champ, endustructble in ways is this one. not many talk about her, those who own complain about things. guess we are picky or go with what we read.

RE: Slow stick Forum!!
Hey Gang, I just got a Slowstick. and am awaiting some parts again , due to miss ordering. I have a 2212-13 0r 17 motor and esc 20 amp. If this is not powerful enough i have as well on order a 2208 Kv1450. I wanted to keep to the same set up or plug a JST. running a 11.1v 20c 900 mah. remember I have a funfFly with a 2208 and 20 amp es she runs just fine 8x40ish prop. Do you think a 11.1v 20c 2200 mah batt give me way more than enough flight time or should I go lesser/ I understand Weight helps with wind how much time would i get with a 1500, vs a 2200. understanding they may cost the same. I like to fly a good 15 minutes. and I am never flying all day at the park due to the winds 30 minutes works for me. I will oneday like to add a cam, like a kodak zi8 maybe tomorrow a gopro, I use a 808 keychain cam because 40.00 vs 300.00 isa smart thing....... thanks guys for all your help added note. I just opened the box to read the instructions, and boy it says it right there recommendations 1300 or 2200 batt Lol

RE: Techone Hobby Funfly Trainer review & maidon
after owning the funflyI am overwhelmed how shhe is built super tough, I do notice some wear on the wing. due to the Airlon cut to the center. I have asolution, and am wetting some balsa from a cassette holder, anything around hte house. I have already fixed the battery door madefrom Balsa, I had a hotel key card cut out hte width I needed, drilled two holes, and used a ultility scissor, and shaped out enough room for hte batt door to fit. and sanded the plastic used Mercury 300m glue ca safe. And withing 5 seconds she was stuck. the fix is now sweet. The wing I shall make a bend, as it must match the dehidral. Then glue it n, I may need two peices and I may see if anything is needed for hte fuselage of hte wing area. Rubberbands weakened the area showing cracks. I am again amazed how well built she is. I have not a problem placing a order for another 3ch . not a 4ch FF thanks for listening/reading

Techone Hobby Funfly Trainer review & maidon
Hey all. I got a chance to get a maidon, of my newest plane in the hanger, I built. Taken a hour or so, I taken more time and did some vids on it. I do not have the chance right now to wwait for a calmer day the next five dys re windier. I bilieve the wind wer at gusts up to 25mph, and will be more later and bad weather to. The Plane is floater . I thought I was directed, but in the wind wrong again, everchanging and whipping . Off wheeled her two feet she was up wind blew sidways got m I corrected to left rudder up field, and said I think I am calling it in. so I cut, she glided, I said makea turn float her back and kpet one step ahead, I was turning to land offcamera. she landed fast and nice. andsaid wow she did good. RE: HobbyKing Tuff Trainer
Thank you. Chuck. As how I got mine I am uncertain if it was the orginal ownerwho made it, sounded like he did, and sold the design? The instructions do not say a thing about Dihedral. I can care less or more about the Airlon. They are hooked up, desabled, I will be a 3 ch plane. She is all over the field if you start to do tricks. What I did was I given the airlons a Hint of Decend both, and that helps me fly correctly. SHe is a dream to fly, just like t he video song ha ha ha. Thank you for the comment, not many reach out to youtube people. glad you got a laugh. I will be comparing this later on, lets see with what lol.

RE: HobbyKing Tuff Trainer
I read the thread early on, while i was getting my Funfly, it is very simular to the tuff trainer. Oh what a dream she is. the Airlons I will not hook up, to the electronics they are in theservo's and working but desabled. I can take off ina heart beat, go vertical in a heart beat. and lose range in a heart beat. I got no problems but still working out kinks I have a el cheapo rx from the suppliers like headsuorc. not from them though. I have crashed, the balsa is weak the battery door so I use a rubber band, the optional wheels I got onesnapped, using a super cub wheels instead. CG is 2.50-75 off wing edge. I placed in cardboard, and placed the bat vertical vs horizontal, that corrected my tail heaviness. She is a dream and glides with grace. I have flown today in wind and other days in wind and she will get blown away, lol when it is calm oh man watch out. She is again a dream. I find her to be just hte right size for the park i fly, and portable for me in the car vs the Super cub I own. with the set up I have 11.1 vdc brushlesss motor 30 amp I get over 10 minutes flight unsure how long after that I am happy Enjoy the clip I made and have a great day Funfly/ tuff traine / fllite I say we are family

did you lose bind. tx always goes on first , then battery second try rebinding. batt plugged in then with TX off hold trainer, still hold it, turn on tx wait three secs let go trainer wait ten secs. see if anything moves. if needa binding plugto the rx you need to put that in one time then remove

Yes they are Flyn.... first build in a super long time wasnota fan of the supplied electronic ESC and Motor, once it fell together , it is a wonderful floater for sure. I did not have time to stay out so I tried to keep it near by and get a feel for it. should have went up, but a storm came in and other matters at hand. Hope your build and plane goes well. Techone is a great plane for sure.

RE: Where do you stand?
I would stand on D5/C4 I ave all angles covered. I need be enough room to still sweep a turn, and land . I normally like to be dead center of a field, just in case I feel a change in my flying skills. If wind was changed I mirror image G4
