RE: New 35% Edge
Baffling is always a good thing, it never hurts. On my Edge I just put a balsa plate on the bottom side of the cowl inlets so the air is directed through the engine fins. I opened up the bottom of the cowl plus 2 bays on the bottom of the fuselage, seems to work very well.

RE: DLE-111 rod bearing failure...
Lawnboy at 50:1 isn't enough oil. Try Sthil Ultra at 40:1 for break in and then go to 50:1

RE: DLE 111 RPM numbers??
My DA 100 has exactly the same power as my DL 100. I'm sure the 111 has more than either one of the 100's.

There are 2 flying at my field, both of them run great. I know 1, if not both were purchased from Valley View.

RE: Basic A123 6.6v 2300mah Receiver Pack and Triton II Cycling/Discharge...?
I would wait also. There is no reason to cycle A123's. When you get the Cell-pro all you have to do is charge them and the Cell-pro automaticlally balances them, super simple

RE: Midwest 27% extra 330S?
I have one with a Moki 2.10 on it. It's one of the nicest flying sport/ aerobatic planes around. Really smooth, tracks really nice, no bad habits. I wouldn't recommend it as a 2nd plane, but it is one that you could move up to fairly quickly.

RE: NEW DLE30!
Captainjohn, there is no way I would fly an engine that dies just because you tilt it. Something is wrong, period! There is a guy at my field that is flying one, he's a very good pilot and he puts it through everything you can imagine and not one hicup.

RE: DL-50 engine
On my 35%ers I run two 2300s. Two smart-fly super switches with Deans on the battery side and 2 leads coming out of the switch going to the reciever. I average 150mah per flight per battery. I can easily get 6 flights, which after that many flights my eyes are more run down than the batteries. [:)]

RE: DL-50 engine
I agree with mstam1971. The A123's are hard to beat! Lots of amperage and you can charge them in 15 minutes. If the power box isn't in the plane, it can't fail.

RE: Dual A123 battey though diode voltage drop?
+3 on getting rid of the batt share. The best part about the A123's is there is no need for a regulator or diode to drop the voltage. 2 batteries, 2 switches. Keep it simple

RE: Building a Gasser on a Budget - Need Help
I second the Wildhare planes. I fly the 100cc Edge and the 100cc Extra. Awesome flying planes! The only place you can buy them is direct from Wildhare. Tom Fawcett is the owner and a great guy to do business with. He stands behind his products 100%! He has package deals that include the plane, DLE 30 engine, servos and I think prop and spinner. I gaurantee you won't be dissapointed!
