RE: Warbirds over Delaware
Dave, Pete, Dave Jr & the entire Delaware club, Thank you for putting together a GREAT 2011 WOD! Everyone certainly makes the trip worth it! Hopefully you continue with the great event. As for the B-26, I lost power on the left engine just after I did a mid-field break to land. I had the gear and approach flaps down when I turned downwind and lost power. I'm not sure how it came out, but it did. At least my butt wasn't in it, unlike the heroes of WWII that had to deal with those possible situations during every mission. Hope to see everyone again at WOD 2012 (as long as Dave & Pete continue to CD it)

Are Skip & Vinny in the same canoe? With a large T-handle wrench?

RE: Warbirds over Delaware
I would like to thank Dave, Pete and the entire Delaware club on an outstanding event. The event is not only made when the pilots show up, but also by the people that put the event on. We have meet some of the nicest people in the 5 years we have been attending the event. Thank you again from the Wisconsin crew! Paul

RE: P61 at Topgun
Jason, Thank you for the compliment. The plane flys as if its on rails and yes I have the spoilers and ailerons. The DA-100's have been great for myself, and have been very reliable and start very easily. The molds do exist, however I don't believe that I would ever sell parts off of them, because I did duplicate Nick Ziroli's parts and I don't feel its proper for myself to sell something that he has designed and already made. Best regards Paul

RE: P61 at Topgun
Jason, I enlarged Ziroli plans to 160" (1/5 scale), as Jeff said, DA-100's swinging Air Models 28-10 props. Bob Walker from Robart made the gear and the rims and brakes came from Sierra Giant Scale. I made all of the canopy molds and the mold for the cowls. It weights 95 lbs. Hope this helps Paul

RE: Warbirds only at Muncie AMA
We wish we could please everybody but its not possible. If we made it open to all size warbirds, than some Giant scale guys may not like flying with the smaller planes. Its a tough decision on which way to go! The Giant scale rules will be the 60", 80", 140" rules along with true quarter scale. Thank you for all of the great feedback! Paul LeTourneau

RE: Warbirds only at Muncie AMA
The reason that we are having it off the grass site, is because most WWl planes do not take a liking to pavement, besides taildragger WWll aircraft can handle the grass better. It will be a very well groomed site! Paul

RE: Warbirds only at Muncie AMA
We want to make this a great event where guys can come and fly Giant scale Warbirds from dawn to dusk!. The event will be at the AMA National flying site.....plently room and it will be open to WWl through Modern Jets. We also will be flying off of grass. I will be the CD, so please let us know what you think! Thanks Paul LeTourneau

RE: YOU CAN KISS A WARBIRDS ONLY SHOW GOOD-BYE@ DAYTON
This is for planning purposes next year, there is a Warbird ONLY event being planned for Labor day weekend. This would be for Giant scale only. It would be located in Indiana. It is not set in stone yet, however it will be finalized very soon.

RE: <span class=
I did put the rudder servos in the stab and had no problems. I used JR 911 servos. The little extra weight is worth it.

RE: D-18/C 45 video
8 pounds in the front of a beech seems a little much.....try to keep the fuse and tail area light. I needed around 3 pounds in mine.

RE: D-18/C 45 video
A gyro may help, just one thing you need to remember is to come up on the throttle slowly, until it starts to build some airspeed so the rudders are effective
