I have also been running Seafoam in my fuel one oz. per gallon. So far I have sixty five flights on my plane that has a Moki 250. I use regular gas mixed at 50-1 with Honda HP full synthetic oil.

Hi Scott, yours and Franks P47 looks fantastic, and in the video they seem to fly just awesome. It`s true big does fly better. Anyway I am going to be there to see them in person because I`m bringing my 1/2 scale jungmeister with a moki 250. I can`t upload any pictures of my plane right now, I think RCUniverse has a problem. I am getting red letters that say interal server problem when I try to upload. See you in Florida. Rick

RE: gp aeromaster
I have a Great Planes Aeromaster ARF with a G62, now I know it is more than enough power. If I would do it over I would use a 50cc engine, I think that is the size that is best matched to this airframe. The smallest engine I would even consider would be a 40cc. I weighed my plane ready to fly and it was at twenty pounds.

A very good project you have there. I would be curious as to the flight characteristic of this Laird because I was planning to build one of these in the near future. You look like you are doing a great job, what do you think the weight will be? and what engine are you going to use? Rick

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence
I have a micro switch activated by a servo, it cuts the positive side of wire going to the pump. Plus I have a servo to choke the engine. So there are two ways to kill the engine in case of emergency.

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence
I am running the APS pump for dependability. I had a 4500 NIMH 4 cell pack but I didn`t think it had enough punch so I installed an A123 4600 pack and increased the wire size to eighteen gauge with a 5.1 volt regulater. The ignition pack is also runnung the fuel pump. When I took the temps the ambient temperature was 74 degrees.

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence
I have completed twenty flights with the half scale Jungmeister. It took about twelve flights before I got the engine dialed in. The first few flight I was getting used to the carb adjustments and I had an over heating problem. I was getting 255 degrees on the top cylinder and about 215 degrees on the lower cylinder which is too hot in my opinion. What I did too help this situation was to install a baffle which greatly helped. Now I am at 201 degrees at the top cylinder and 171 degrees at the lower cylinder and its running very well. To read the temps I used a hand held IR thermometer. Rick

RE: RCM Plans Knight Twister
I built this plane about fifteen years ago. I flew it for a few years with good results. The plane I had used an OS300 twin and it performed very well at twenty one pounds. I did use the Magnalite in the constrution to help keep weight down. I will look around for some pictures.

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence
I have a Moki 250 and I am installing the pluming for the pump. I had a few questions about the hook up, first question is with the pump I received two tees and some fuel line. One tee was in a plastic bag labeled Deaerator. I thought the two tees were used to reroute excess pressure back to the tank. Dr Göetz says don`t use the two tees just plum from the tank to a fuel filter then the pump and from there to the carb. I guess I was making it too difficult. Just thought I would pass the information along.

I am a happy guy I just received my Moki 250 from[link]http://vogelsang-aeroscale[/link]]I haven`t started the engine yet but I plan to mount it on the plane to run it.I am still working on the plane it is a 50% Jungmeister. I am glad that this thread was started, it clears up alot of questions someone might have before they buy a engine of this price and quality.
