RE: 6 bolt hubs
bringing this back to the top to ask if there is supposed to be a bolt in the middle as well or is it just the 6 bolts on the outside?

post up a picture of it! mine looks like the 45cc homey and the poulan saws, but it has a weedeater style mount on the bottom crankcase half. im going to go ahead and use it cause i'd rather not use beam mounts if i have an already made radial mount solution.

echo 16cc carb?
what would u guys suggest i use for an echo gt1000 engine for a replacement carb? this thing has a TINY carb inlet. im thinking that an 11.11 would be TOO big, but i dont know if there is a middle ground, like a 9mm or something. i couldnt tell you what it currently has. this engine is going to go on a carl goldberg anniversary cub, so worry not about it powering something huge.

RE: homelite 45 with reverse threads
doing some further research this may be a 33cc engine. and it may be froma string trimmer. its a brand new longblock from ebay and it didnt say what it would be out of. heres the lower part of it with the built in engine mount. i think ill use this as is and trim it just a bit. homelite 45 with reverse threads
so i think i have a 45cc engine with reverse threads. it has the wrong threads on the tapered part, but the right threads on the straight shaft part. would you guys reccomend using the non tapered part of the crank to hold a prop adapter? i dont see why it would hurt myself, but maybe there would be a problem with it? i just want some confirmation.

ok, its not like the other 33cc poulans. the cylinder comes off the case, and the case is most of the chain saw. needle bearings on the crank. not worth it.

RE: working on a poulan 32
also, my poulan crankshaft is WAY long with fine threads on the end of it. would i be able to swap the crank from another poulan so i could get a short shaft version? or at the very least something with threads CLOSER to the engine? av8tor, should i give it a try with the homelite before i assume it wont work then? (i already have, due to everyone saying that you need to downsize the plans for a 25cc, lol)

working on a poulan 32
ok, gents heres the deal. im making an ultraspadstick and i think i need something more than my (base gasket removed, exhaust bridge removed, bowman ringed) homelite. i have a 32cc poulan that i wouldnt mind using, but i need some assistance getting it to airworthy status. the exhaust port looks AWFUL tiny in comparison to my homelite. is there a way to do something about that? i plan to get a bowman ring for it, btw. ill also remove the base gasket, and map the timing after i get the deck height right. ive read several threads saying people are running these, but never any real finished pictures, or numbers or anything. thoughts? will be gas/glow fueled, btw.

fireslot head on 34cc fource?
would adding a fireslot style head to the fource engine increase power output? it certainly seems to work for the racing kart boys. i am talking custom made head here. i work at a machine shop so i could make one, i just want to know if its worth it to try. engine will be run on gas/glow (probably just high test fuel and 'heet') any thoughts? carb will be a 11.11 dual needle with the spring in the pump

RE: ryobi 28cc? is it worth it?
i had planned on going gas/glow with this engine for purposes of weight removal. i understand your concern av8tor and i respect your opinion. i think i will just have to give it a try and see what happens. how easy is it to get ahold of a 31cc piston/jug and will it work with the crankshaft?

ryobi 28cc? is it worth it?
im making an ultra spadstick for a friend and he has given me a weedeater with a ryobi 28cc engine on it. is this a good conversion engine? its only 3 cc below the normal ryobi so shouldnt it work fine? im hoping it has the power to haul the plane around.

RE: Echo BME twin
i wouldnt mind having a reed valve assembly either. im toying with the idea of making a manifold similar to that of the zenoah twins and just capping off the reed mount. would rather not do that tho, planned on this going into a piper cub and would much rather have everything on the bottom. av8tor, do u still have the jugs for those 25cc engines? wouldnt mind taking them off your hands for my twin. i cant seem to find the 23.6 engines anywhere. (ive got 21.2 cc "R" type engines for my twin, but would much rather have more displacement)

RE: Need advice on prop hub design....
i would do the "hub keyed to the shaft with threads for prop nut" route. and might as well set screw it while your there. but if you have the stock flywheel then you can cut the tapered part out of the middle of it and use it instead of having to figure out what the taper is. its somewhere close to 10 degrees but i ddint get any further than that when making my flywheel turning arbor. 10 worked, and thats what i used. your lucky u have a long shaft version. mine is the short shaft version and i wish i had a long shaft one. oh well, mine worked out fine. have the gunsmith friend use a face knurler on it to make the teeth pattern to hold the prop in place.

RE: mac 32 rear exhaust, rear carb. muffler?
im pretty sure its not a ryobi. i got a ryobi the same time as this one. its similar in teh instance that it has a rear carb and whatnot but the cylinder doesnt bolt down the same and the reed plate seems shaped differently.
