RE: ESM 50cc ME-109
Great Flight, A possible fix for your ground handling on take off would be to put your tail wheel on a separate channel. When you get lined up on the runway for take off turn your tail wheel off. This allows you to use full rudder without ground looping. Ty

I sold the one I made the cockpit for to a freind of mine and he has it on electric. It is one of the best flying planes he has ever had. Nice slow flyer and a breeze to land...

RE: ESM price increases?!!
The magic number when shipping is 130" The Seafury I just got measured out to 131" The box was 55+21+21+17+17= 131. If it had been 2 inches smaller it would have saved about $40-$50 on shipping. 130 Is considered over size...

RE: CMP BF109F BUILDING THREAD
Ok guys ya'll are killing me with the term airbrake...It was a "spoiler". it was used to allow more air through and to kill the lift caused by opening up the rear of the radiator. Ok this is a model and we can use it as an airbrake... You can watch this video of a full scale one. It was open on takeoff for cooling and down for landing when full flap needed.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dO9mEv5Ve54 Now back to out regularly scheduled thread........

RE: ESM price increases?!!
Hey let me shed some light on this as far as shipping... I ship fedex all the time. Not a huge quantity but regularly. TBM ships alot of stuff. I get a small discount compared to just walking into the Fedex office and shipping something. I am sure TBM get a greater discount than I do. I just received the Seafury in today. I cost me $127 to get it shipped to me. I just went onto the fedex website and used my small discount and If I shipped this plane It would have cost me $118 so They are most likely making $10 -$20 on the shipping itself...

BTW it would probably fly just fine. It would just look bad . I have flown planes with a twisted tail and you would never had know it.

RE: ESM Fairey Swordfish
What probably happened was that the fuse was pulled from the mold still a little soft. This could cause the warpage. I would call TBM back and demand a new fuse. Tell them you will contact ESM directly and also ( please say you used a credit card to purchase it) If TBM won't fix the problem then go through your credit card Comapny and get your money back due to damaged or bad product.. You Should not have to fix TBM's/esm's problem. You bought a kit expecting a quality kit... BTW TBM does not inspect the models before they leave their warehouse...

RE: ESM Mitsubishi J2M3 Raiden build
If you are worried about access to the Tail retract servo you could always mount it up front and use a stiff control rod to operate it. I use to do that all the time with the robart tail retracts. That kept the weight up front... Ty

The problem is this was huge plane compared to the pilot. The cockpit depth it too deep already compared to some documentation I have. The plane measures out to the 1/5 scale size..
