RE: SIG FOURSTAR 120 Opinion
I had a 4 Star 120 for about 13 years, powered by a pre Surpass OD 120. Without a doubt this engine supplied more than enough power for most aerobatics. Unfortunately by trusty 120 met witha "dumb thumb" demise. I looking forward to getting one of the new 120 ARF's. Enjoy your 120. Frabru

Old OS FS120 4 Stroke parts
After many years in the sky I crashed my Sig 4 Star 120. There was not much left. It was powered by an old OS 120 4 stroke that I bought used from a guy at my flying field in 1994. He told me that at thet time the engine, while in excellend condition was old. This engine has dual rocker boxes that look like todays Saito 4 stroke engines. I need a cylinder head, push rods, and push rod covers, and a needle valve. Does anyone know where I can find these parts. I hate to throw this engine away if it can be repaired at a reasonable price. Thanks for any help you can offer. Frank White Moderator edited title to reflect true subject......

RE: Fuel tank woes
I've got one of the new Great Planes Gian Super Sportsters and have a problem with the fule tank. I've installed a Magnem 1.80 4 stroke engine inverted, and the stock mounting for the fule tank in the fues is higher thtn the centerline of the carb. I've read that this is not good and have found that out the hrd waw. It will be quite a chore to try and mount the tank any lower because of the formers in the front ther is very little room to work. Is there some kind of a valve or something I can put between the tank and the carb to stop the fuel from running into the carb/ Any hepl or suggestions will be much appriciated.

RE: Servo Selection
Thanks for the information. No there is no 3D flying in my future.:) Just some easy Sunday sport flying. Very basic aerobatics. That's about it. So the Hitec 635 looks like a good overall choice.

RE: Servo Selection
Hey guys, thanks for the input. I've read the specs on the Hitec HS 636, and along with the price of about $30.00, this may be the servo I'll use for all of the comtrols. both the elevators and ailirons use dual servos, and the rutter uses one. What is a good one for the throttle? Thanks Frank

Servo Selection
I just took delivery of one of the new Great Planes Giant Super Sporster ARF's. They recommend the Futaba 9001 servos that have 54.1oz. of torque at .4.8 volts I prefer the Hitech servos to be used with my JR transmitter. The plane will weigh between 13 and 14 pounds. I'd like to keep the price between $25.00 and $30.00. Does anyone have experience with a sport plane of this size 82" wing span, and weight/ Thanks

RE: New Giant GP Super Sportster!!!!!
I just received my Giant Supersporster and it look good. I was considering either a BCMA or Brillelli 40, however, from what I've been told by both of the above engine suppliers, I will have to cut the cowl for clearence for the muffler. It appears it will be a pretty big hole and I really don't want to do it. Is there any other engine that will fot withour cutting a big hole in the cowl. Although I want to try gas, the Magnum 1.80 4 stroke looks interesting. any feedback will be appriciated.
