Super Tigre 60 bluehead
I recently acquired this engine it was attached to a Ultra Sport 60.As you can see it is a Super Tigre G60 Bluehead. It has a baffled and ringed piuston and came with the Perry carb and the pump.Did any of these come like that from the factory, and if so what do I need to know to run this engine. Also what mufflers might fit.Thank you for any help,I appreciate it very much.

RE: Vintage BH Sport Model
To H5606,i have definetely found that if elevator and or ailerons throws are to large or if you pull to much it will snap hard. And just to mention it mine looked like yours at one time to,but 4 yrs.and many flights have taken their toll.Still fly it regularly,am very comfortable with it and its fun.

RE: help with identifying newly acquired plane
I am not acquainted with the fellow you mentioned,if he flies control line he wouldn't be at the field where i go as its stritcly r/c.I usually fly in the early afternoon as most people have left for the day, gets pretty hot by then, but i sometimes have the entire field all to myself.

RE: help with identifying newly acquired plane
The plan for now is to strip and repaint,it has a lot of small places where the paint has been sanded and needs some repairs on the wing and stabilizer edges. The idea of retracts is very alluring, just not sure if i want to start cutting into the wings, still thinking about it though. As for its actual identification the best i can determine along with the help from here is that it is a Vertigo II.Now i need the specifications on control throws,CG.etc.

My US 40 has a magnum .61 2 stroke with an apc 11x6 and its way to damn fast for these old eyes.Tried an apc 12x6 and is only marginally slower.

RE: unknown plane
it appears that it was only made for fuel as there is no provision to acces a battery,no instructions or any thing about it.the reason i took it was the price was very right,so i thought i would just fool around with it and see what happens.going to use a magnum .61 4 stroke on it.

RE: unknown plane
thanks for the feedback,i only used the u can do as it looked similiar as far as the fuselage.but anyway i am going to use it for pattern style flying practice,so the controls will be set up on the low side as they are huge. it is quite light so i am going fuel with a good running magnum 61 4 stroke that i have.will just have to see what happens.thanks again

RE: Vintage BH Sport Model
I also have the same plane, bought it 2 yrs ago on sale at hobby people.changed the main gear to an older dubro nylon landing gear. The nose gear uses a dual strut fults gear, works great.Started with a magnum.46,when the crappy motor mount cracked i changed it to a sig mount and mounted the engine upright. Now use it as test mule for different engines, but mostly fly it with a magnum .61 2 stroke.Never did put the cowl on though. You will love the way it flys.

Hello everyone, been following the thread and would like to show my first Ultrasport 40.Built from a kit it has fixed gear,Magnum .61xl 2 stroke.Fuselage is glassed and painted, wing is covered in monokote.Moved servos to tail to offset heavier engine.Has only had one flight so far but am very pleased.Nice and smooth, plenty of power ,needs some fine tuning on the plane and engine.

Let me see now,10,000 estimated people DEAD,3 nuclear plants in danger of a meltdown,no clean water,no food no housing, little medical help, thousands possibly missing.Entire small villages and cities washed away.Gee i hope i there are still engines available so i can have fun with my friends. And i thought i was callous.
