Ok, thanks John. I'll hold on getting the AMA plans until Master Chief provides them with his revisions. Mean while, Master Chief, do you have a material list available so that I can start getting things in order? Chuck

Brotherhood, I haven’t had any luck finding a kit. I went to the AMA site for plans. Please advise, it’s listed as AMA# 35406 1/5 Scale PICA KIT PLAN WS 72. Anyone familiar with this set of plans? Thanks.

All I can say is 'Wow' the attention to detail you guys are applying to these planes is incredible. I'm really enjoying khodges koverall tutorial. I'm sorry I can't contribute to the ribbing tonight, I just got in from class and OSU lost so I'm not in the best moods. Chuck

RE: WACO YMF
Oh boy do I want one NOW. I’ve only been in the hobby for a little over 4 years and my building skills far out pace my flying, which is okay, I’m in it for the long haul. I’m going for my master in finance which will wrap up in a couple of months, and then there’s family time which is very important especially with my two darlings 8 and 6, and much more. But I enjoy it all, right now I transitioning from my high trainers to my Mid * 40. So I’m a ways from bipes, but I ache to build. All that to say, if the Master Chief would make the plans he building from available, I’d like to be on the distribution list. I’m going to start off building a Hog bipe before I go into the WACO. BTW, I remember when I was in boot camp, my oldest brother who was a squid would write, “The only good Marine was a SUBmarine! I would catch hell from my Drill Instructors for it. A Marine cousin of mine gave me a good comeback, “Once a sub went out with 78 sailors on board, it returned with 39 couples! I caught hell from my dad who was also a squid. [;)][:)][8|][8|]

RE: Sig Koverall
I’m in the process of covering my Hog with koverall. I’ve put two coats of straight dope on the H-stab and elevators –sanding between coats. I’m impressed with the weight and feel of the surfaces. I’m stumped on reading the fabric to determine the ‘grain’. I’ve notice there seems to be a dominate, I’ll call it flow to the koverall, is that the grain? Also, along this flow the koverall doesn’t stretch as much, once again, is this the grain? Stickbuilder, khodges I could really use your help. Also, what is the penalty if I wind up doing the opposite of the instruction, will have damaging effect on the plane?[:o]

This thread has it all maybe I've played too many sports, or it could be I'm an not-too-old-Jarhead that I enjoy the humor that goes on here. I filter the informative posts from the laughable ones. Altogether this is truely one of the best on this great site. BTW, I'm using the film method in covering my hog that is cutting the Koverall into pieces and then applying it. I don't have the confidence yet in using the one piece method like you. Me joining the Brotherhood? One word "hell yeah," just give a number, thanks.

RE: WACO YMF
I came to this posting because I was looking for tips on applying Koverall for my Hog, which is underway --thanks to tips stickbuilder, er Master Chief has posted in this and other forums. I found myself staying because of the subject, I like bipes and am considering a Hog bipe for my next build; building information you all share; and enjoying the b@ll busting! It took me a week to get through all the pages and I even went back once or twice. Thanks to all of you. Chuck

I'm also interested. I have heard one can use automotive or house paint as well as those hobby enamels. There's ALOT about this topic I don't know. If anyone can let us know what books are out let us know.

RE: SIG Astro Hog
ORIGINAL: mechplas I have recently embarked on a KIT building project. It happens to be a Astro Hog from the 80's. This would be my first 60size kit, so bear with my cock-ups. I hope to get some tips from those who had already been there done that with this HOG. [:)] I had made reference to this existing thread, [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3462912/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm]LINK[/link] but could not find much built pics. So feel free to hog this thread with your built pics if you like. I am sure it will help all the hoggers, especially me.
Mechplas, Thanks for posting your build process. I have a hog on deck for my winter project. I'm going with dope koverall and dope. Im not too sure about the engine yet. I'll post my progress as well. You're build looks really good so far, keep up the good work!

RE: 8 ft of bones! Sr Telemaster
Here's pictures of my project. It's a senior on steroids; as you can see, I sheeted and glassed the wing's center, reduced the dihedral, dual wing servos webbed the wing and horizontal stab, and of course bolted wing. I'm trying to upload my pix and having trouble.

RE: Telemaster Senior ARF: Engine?
I have the sr. telemaster kit standing by on my table waiting. I'm going with a k&B 65 with dual servos for ailerons and hi-torque servo for the elevator and bolted wing. I gave some thought to a two wing, but the idea of adding struts has me concerned. I'm looking forward to this build.[:D][:D][:D]

BTW, I'm starting on my 3rd build -Rapture 40 (I know it is not recieved too well on the site), I've been bitten by the bug bad, and couldn't wait to at least get started on something. I was planning it for one of my winter projects and it seemed to fit nicely, I have a Sig LT-40, Sr. Telemaster and this Rapture on the board. I was itching to build. Wish me well. I have really enjoyed this site. It is a real asset.
