RE: Another cnc question
I found when i went to replace parts in the head that the v1 to v2 had small differences. You can get them to work but it just takes a little thinking and know how. If there are parts that are direct fit then i def. did not find those. JEEP said he wanted something to bolt right in so that he didnt have to mess with the head. I just steered him to the two stores. If you look on their websites, most of the parts for the head are different part numbers if im not mistaken. Just trying to keep it simple as possible for him cuz I know this stuff can get really confusing.

RE: Another cnc question
JEEPHARLEY - Cnc is nice but if you are learning your better off getting plastic parts as they are cheaper. ALso if you tear into it and replace a single part as opposed to swapping out the head you will learn a lot more about the bird and what each part does. But if you are looking for a complete head, check out JAGHOBBIES.COM I was on his site two days ago and he has all the carbon fiber and cnc for the belt cp V2, preassembled ready to drop in, or individual assemblies. You can also check USHOBBYSUPPLY.com. I just started dealing with them and they are fantastic. From Belt cp to Belt CP V2 most of the parts are not interchangeable. I found that out when i wrecked and all the plastic parts were on backorder from Esky. Check out those two sites and you will find what you need. Both are fantastic to deal with and I have personally dealt with both. Mike

RE: SNHobbies Flasher 450 V2 Build/Review ($135 Metal Heli)
what is the .05 MOD you are talking about in your reply? There are two pages of pinions one has shaft diameter or 2.3 the other 3.17. Sorry for all the questions but I dont understand how they make these things so hard to match up. Mike

RE: SNHobbies Flasher 450 V2 Build/Review ($135 Metal Heli)
Yeah i got the ICE motor in the PE kit. I want to make it as tame as possible so I can learn on it. I am going to be more into scale flight than 3d Did your motor and esc come with connectors? Mine didnt and I dont know what size to use. Also what about the pinions, are they universal? Appreciate all the help and lets keep this thread going.

RE: Vibration
Awesome guys thanks for all the suggestions. I got a busy month coming up here but I should be able to tackle it soon and see what happens. I am going to go through the entire head and make sure everything is level. When i finally get it in the air, it wants to drift around all over the place. I am a little slow on the sticks still, but i see videos of peoples birds that spool up and hover with what looks to be very stable control. I know alot of that has to do with your stick control, but I would like to think that a well setup head and linkage helps aid you in achieving that. Mike

RE: SNHobbies Flasher 450 V2 Build/Review ($135 Metal Heli)
Lostsoul - Got my kit yesterday and I think it is great. Do you have a link to a build manual? This will be my first time assembling a kit and there are bags of parts in the box that I have no clue where they would go. I am just learning c/p and have a belt cp v2 that i can kind of hover till it starts to drift around. I think i need to set that head up a little better. But will the pinion that came with my kit be too high you think? Should I step down to a 11? or 12? Mike

Vibration
Hey guys, I have a bad vibration on start up and around 1/4 - 1/2 stick on my Belt CP V2. It started happening after i replaced the flybar and the flybar control rod. Sometimes it is real bad and other times it is intermittent. Anyone else had this problem? Can you give me suggestions on what it could be? I am fairly new to the heli scene and am not sure what to look for. I know the main shaft is true. Could it be something not level in the head or unbalanced blades? Any hel would be great Mike

RE: T-rex 450 clone which one?
hey go to SNHOBBIES.com and check out the Flasher 450 I just ordered the PE which has the plastic frame but they also have a SE that is all carbon and full metal head and tail. They are based in Canada so not really far away. I order mine two night ago at 4 in the AM and he shipped it that morning soon after he opened and it should be here in six days according to FEDEX. There is a thread about them around here somewhere. I researched for about two weeks to find a real good clone and settled on this one. There is also the HK 450 from hobbycity. I should have mine by the end of next week if you want to know what its like just PM me Mike

RE: Jag Hobbies
It looks very similar to the EXI kit. First thing I would do is go through the heli and I know you have probably heard this a thousand times, but make sure that everything that goes from metal to metal has blue loctite on it. Watch the Finless videos on ccpm setup and blade balancing and you should be good to go. I took my belt cp v2 out of the box and flew it and it seemed stable enough to me. My father in law bought a Exceed eagle or falcon 50 heli. I think Xheli sells them for 99. He went through setting up the ccpm and blade balancing and his spooled up and flew so much better than mine. I am in the process now of getting everything right. Do these things first and dont jump right into flying and you will be good. Nice choice on the bird and let us know how you like it. Mike

Hey guys, where is the best place to purchase the exi-450? I found Xheli and some of their affiliated sites, but they have me a bit worried about ordering from them, based on their stories. If there is anywhere else can you let me know, if not then I will purchase from them. Thanks Mike

EXI
Hey guys - I am looking at getting a EXI-450, but the only place i found it at is XHELI. I read alot of bad things about them so i googled exi450 and found that they are also sold at nitroplanes, and hobbypartz. Funny thing about it is that all of the pages are setup almost the same which leads me to believe that they are ran by the same people. Where did everyone purchase their EXI's? Is the EXI the best t-rex clone out there? THanks ahead of time Mike

I went flying this easter sunday and I went through two sets lol The trees/bushes and I still have some unfinished business LOL I dont want to spend 30 on a set of blades only to ruin them four minutes in. Belt CP v2 Head setup
Hey guys - I just repaired my v2 after I had a minor crash. I put in a new flybar and flybar central holder and a new set of blades. I watched the Finless video from h-freak and I am still confused. Should I be checking the swash level and washout movement with the idle up switch on? Also with the V2 having bellcranks attached to the servos, can the servos be centered? I cant see how that would work. I checked the pitch on my blades and it seems like i will have to adjust my link all the way together to get 0deg at center stick with the idle up switch on. When I go full positive I get about 10.5 deg of pitch again idle switch on and when i go negative i only get about 7 deg. Now i dont fly 3d and I am more interested at the moment with sport style flying. I just want to make sure that I have my setup about as good as I can get so that I know I have a well setup and running heli. Any help would be great guys, thanks again Mike

RE: CP V2
I havent had a problem with my speed control yet. IF if do then i will just upgrade to a higher amp and be done with it. I am waiting for USHOBBYSUPPLY to reply, he said once his are in that he will send me a list of all compatible parts. Esky is selling a carbon edition V2 and that makes me think that aluminum upgrades should be coming soon, if they arent compatible with the original belt. I cant stand all the plastic on there, would like to have more bling and little stronger parts. Also what do you guys keep spares of? I want to get more blades and the most commonly broken parts so i am not left a long time without flying. Mike

RE: CP V2
Michael - That's great. I just got mine a week ago and i was surprised to see that almost every hobby store is either sold out or they dont have them in stock yet, i must have gotten lucky. I would love to see what fits and doesnt and what i can put on there. Also while we are talking I am looking for a charger the stock e-sky one took six hours to charge the battery for my bird. I have two electrifly batteries with the circuit protect in them and the stock esky battery for the heli. Do you have a charger that would charge both styles? Thanks again Mike

CP V2
Hey guys i just got a new Belt CP V2 and i was hoping somebody here could tell me if any parts are interchangeable and if there are upgrades in the making? I am hoping USHOBBYSUPPLY chimes in, I have been checking his site but dont see any upgrades at the moment. Also i am going to order spare parts and was wondering if you guys have a list that you usually stick to? What should i keep on hand. I want to get some more main blades but not sure what ones will fit the V2. Thanks for the help ahead of time Mike

RE: belt cp v2 help!
I have a Belt V2 that is jut got about four days ago. This is my first helicopter and i have not seen a v1. My father in law took a look with me when i first powered it up. My blade tracking was right on, all the bolts and screws were all tight and the throttle engaged at almost the perfect point on the stick. I have yet to fly it outdoors due to Ohio weather. The center linkages are plastic but the swash has been upgraded i do believe to aluminum. My swash is purple anodized and i think the v1 is plastic. I have on occassions so far accidentally hit the throttle stick to full on and the bird did start but i shut it down right away and have yet to have a stripped main gear. I also have the brushless with 30a speed control. I got mine from Jaghobbies.com and it is the FM version as i am getting a Dx7 in a month or so for my planes and heli. They do offer a 2.4 but i think it is on pre order only. I wish i could help more but i havent had a chance to actually fly it outdoors yet. My only complaint so far is that the pins connected to the frame that hold the canopy on are plastic and i feel they will break soon with all the removing of the canopy i am doing, so those will be the first things i upgrade to aluminum on. Mike

RE: Lipo Charger
Thanks for the info i appreciate it. I am so confused it is ridiculous. so there are different batteries with different wires that have different connectors that are used on different chargers? I may need to go to a hobby store because all the manuals that came with the batteries say not to use the "discharge" side of the battery which plugs into the speed controller to charge the battery, always use the other connector. This is why i should have stuck with Nitro. fill it up start it and go. This is alot of hassle just to charge a battery for 8 minutes of flying time. I appreciate the help. I am showing you pictures so maybe you or someone else can get the idea of what i am talking about. Battery for Heli http://www.jaghobbies.com/images/rc_planes/belt_cp/ek1-0186.jpg Batteries for planes http://www.electrifly.com/batteries/lipo-grouping-lg.jpg If you look at the pics, the electrifly batteries shown have a charge and discharge set of wires. the charge side has a small two wire plug that is real thin. The heli battery has a four wire thicker plug. I am looking for a charger that will come with everything i need to charge both styles right out of the box with no need to track down/buy more connectors. Or if there is a charger that works and you know what connectors i need and can link me that would be great. Thanks again for all the help i appreciate it. Mike

RE: Just got a Heli. Need some advice.
Hey there welcome to Heli's. As for the simulator there are many out there to use. I have a old copy of Realflight G2 in my eyes they are amazing, but that is the only one carried in hobby stores by me. A sim is your best friend. second to that would be a pilot at a local field that could train with you on your bird. As far as the heli i think you got a great deal. The control link that is broke should be replaced with one that matches the broke one. IE if the head is the cnc upgrade then put a cnc upgrade on it, and not a plastic one. I myself just bought my first helicopter three days ago. I got a Belt CP V2 I am really surprised at the amount of power that these brushless motors can create. I fly Nitro planes and used to race nitro on road so electric is new to me too. Hopefully someone chimes in that has more experience than me to help you out. Patience is key Mike

Im not seeing anything there that helps me. What i did find out i do believe is that the plugs for charging differ between how many cells you have. All i need is a good charger that will charge my 3s 1800 Mah lipo with the multi wire charge connector and then also work on my smaller 2s batteries with the two wire charge plug

Lipo Charger
Hi guys - I am new to electric, I always ran Nitro. I came into two planes as gifts and just got a Heli. all of which run on LiPo's. The first two planes came with Electrifly Lipos that have a Deans plug for the discharge and a small flat plug with two wires (one red. one black) for the charge. My helicopter is a Belt CP V2 and it's LiPo has two plugs, one is a deans for discharge and the other is a flat plug that has four wires (black/yellow/blue/red). I am confused as to what charger i need. I have three LiPo batteries and two have the same connecter and the other has a totally seperate one. Can somebody please help me out I am a lipo newbie. Suggestions and links would be great. I was looking at the TURNIGY brand not sure which one is good. Thanks, Mike
