RE: O'Donnell Buggy
the new O'Donnell team version was designed only 2-3 months ago.. it more likes a losi then a D8 the integral kick-up/antisquat plates are real trick they shaved 300 grs of weight too never liked much the O'Donnell style but here I am almost sure it's a winner..

RE: losi 8ight b 2.0 VS XRAY XB808 2009
I have owned a losi and I have to say ...never again..2.0 or not even if it is the most beautiful and racy buggy out there I really hope the 2.0 is much improved in quality the 808 is an xray , quality is real no hazzles could only be improved on the drivetrain which is real trick and they did for 2009 version now it's bulletproof ...

RE: Xray a copycat or not?
being a designer, first I saw the 808 I said to myself: "what have they done now" and "is it 1 of april yet?" honestly the front/rear arms and uprights are identical at first sight I guess it must have been the best layout.. but xray put the original driveshaft arrangement in ... ok it's not yet 100% bulletproof..but it will be quickly.. the front uprights are better guided with their metal inserts they already put the frontarms further to the front like losi drivers do now

it was a fundamental mistake by Losi you can't mix carbon and alu shoes their properties just fight each other unless you check them every ride like teampilots do... that's all

RE: When will we see the Losi 8ight???
I never did like the hyper8 because of the immediate play into some parts and esthetics but the performance seems to be ok the losi is something different all the way and is so beautiful... and it drives ok too and is solid after all

RE: Official Mayhem Thread
I sold my mayhem and I am mounting a losi 8ight I thought losi would be making their parts at the same factory I also owned a cl-1, a lightning, a xb8 all I can say is, except perhaps xray, all of the Mayhem's parts and especially the metal ones have the best, accurate and well thought-over finish in the industry...

RE: When will we see the Losi 8ight???
the losi's plastic is in the fact a bad choice the flex in the middle of ther chassis is to great and the radioplate and centersupports just don't have enough strenght to resist all that movement and that could cause problems like the centerbearigs wearing fast as they are small too..

RE: New OCM Buggy!!!
grahama89 what do you mean with the connection of the rear brace is more reliable.. it's like a mix, of the model of the xb8's and the mounting of the cl-1's in the xb you have 2 screws holding the brace at the tower rigidly but firmly in the cl-1, the mounting can move around a bit but then, the 3 screws holding the brace to the chassis will loosen up and get lost, even with locktide on them... so they should have used locknuts on top of the brace to hold it down with this model as cl-1 pilots have to convert to, drilling through both braces and mounting locknuts or the mbx mounting, also with locknut.. don't get me wrong I just love this OCM buggy....

RE: When will we see the Losi 8ight???
they are both great buggys the sportwerks has really good quality parts and is sweet and is in theory, better for beginner and basher it's real strong only fault, on real heavy impact, the suspensionarms are brittle and will break at the hingepoints, where they turn onto the pins and you wil have to rebuild the whole front or rear to get to it because of the c-clips concept.. and the tank tends to bubbling... the losi quality of metal parts is a bit less, certainly the driveshafts but it is beautiful, quickly (re)build and perhaps, even sweeter, faster, and stronger the tank is better, the clutch is better if you use 4 carbon or 4 metal shoes and don't mix them..
