ORIGINAL: cumminspower5.9 Hotracing.com has the HR ones I think you are talking about. How do those hold up? I only run my flux on 2s.
They have held up really well for me, and I use 2s only as well. I was surprised at how well they have done considering how fast the stock cups got beat down. But for some reason I've had really good luck with my truck, still on the original ESC and all that.
ORIGINAL: cumminspower5.9 So I know some of you were talking about the heavy duty drive cups, but I can't find it here. I was driving and I split my front left drive cup right down the middle. I was to get a set of heavy duty center drive cups and heavy duty output drive cups at all 4 corners. Can someone help? I'd prefer something other than ebay for them.
I use the HR ones and haven't had a problem. Might still be available on Liquidrc .com or unfortunately Ebay, but I would buy again without hesitation

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...
I feel like I'm always asking dumb questions, but thanks guys for not making me feel that way. I've been having a lot of heat issues, and I'm considering changing motors to alleviate this problem. I love this motor, and would love to stay as close to the performance of this motor as possible. I just clocked it the other day @ 42mph on 2s. Problem is, it is getting way to hot, and I don't want to "take it easy". I have more fun going all out. Is it possible to buy a new motor only, to run on the stock ESC without any problems, same performance, but less heat issues? I don't want to lose the waterproof aspect either. Has anyone used the CC motor shroud with the fan on it, for our motors?

A connector question
Just got a new Heli that uses the "mini" connector. (hope I at least have that part correct) I already have a lipo charger for my Savage, to charge Lipos. My charger has a Dean's connector, my battery for the heli is obviously not the same. I understand I can solder up a Deans lead with a compatible(for the battery) mini connector. But here is my question. The heli factory charger, charges the battery with what looks like to me, just the "balancing" lead out of the battery. So if I do the above modification, then do I connect what looks like the balancing lead, to my balancing board on my charger. yikes! that seems like a lot, for what is probably a very simple answer! if this doesn't make sense let me know

where to bash in C'Bus Ohio??
I think I'm posting in the right forum? I live in Columbus Ohio, and I don't race, but I'm looking for some places to bash. You know, your typical bashing spot, dirt hills, jumps etc. I've got a Savage XS, stampedes, and an emaxx. and the only place I found is a skatepark, which is really fun, but looking for some dirt! I think you answered my question, but just to make sure. The measurement from edge line to edge line, this is where it connects to the chassis. Thanks!

question for savage flux owners
Hello big brothers. I say this because I'm a Savage xs flux owner. I'm working on a project and could use your help! Can anyone give me the measurements of the A-arms, specifically where they attach to the chassis. I'm looking for the "width" distance from outer edge to outer edge, again where it connects to the chassis. I'm not concerned with the end that connects to the hub. If that doesn't make sense let me know, I'm not sure if I'm describing what I need correctly. Thanks guys! and I may be asking you guys a lot of questions if this project gets off the ground. And I'll provide updates if you're interested.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...
PROJECT XS! Ok, I don't really have anything, but I'm looking for a project and I thought my XS might be fun. I have seen the upgraded motors, esc's etc. I have upgraded several parts. But what I haven't seen done is something like was done over on Ultimaterc, the Chimera project. So I guess I'm looking for some ideas on what to do, to kinda make this thing a little different. I would like to be able to do a bit more of some crawling, though most would say then why buy the XS? But I'm just throwing out ideas. I really want to give this thing some more ground clearance. Does anyone know if any other Savage parts fit ? Let me know what you think

Gens Ace imars charger problem??
As the title suggest I have a Gens Ace iMars charger. It works fine, if I use my car battery as a power source. But that's the problem. No wall adapter, including the one I bought from hobbypartz (twice) and as their recommendation works. Everytime I use a wall adapter and start the charge, it reads insufficient power supply and shuts off. I'm assuming this is a user error, but it's kinda frustrating. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...
I bought a Robinson Racing pinion gear. Only problem is with the set screw. The one that came with it didn't seem machined correctly? No size allen wrench I have would fit, and I have a lot of them. So I used a spare set screw that came with the XS, but it wouldn't drive down through the gear and lock on to the motor. Has anyone had this problem before? Should I not use Robinson? Or is this just a rare bad pinion and screw??
