RE: Futaba 8FG Super
I keep my SD card in the transmitter. What about you other users? Also, with the SD card in, does the radio default to the card when turned on? Or should it be reading from the transmitter's memory?

RE: Futaba 8FG Super
Hi Everyone, I have now put about 25 flites on my new 8FGS. I love it. I have backed up all plane's settings on my SD card. I have made some trim changes for some models on the transmitter. How do I transpose the changes to that model on the card. If I copy to the SD card will it overwrite the SD card info or do I have to erase the model on the card and recopy it?

RE: Futaba 8FG Super
Qustion for you guys. On the 8FG S if you are flying one model and make some trim adjustments are they automatically saved to the Tx? And then how do you transfer those changes to the SD card? I tried copying the model with changes and it created the model name with a 1 after it.

RE: Futaba 8FG Super
I just recently bought a 9.9 v LiFe battery for my 7C. The voltage holds for a long time. But I have heard that they drop suddenly which is not good for a transmitter. Does the voltage go down to 9.8, 9.7 etc. Or does it just go dead? By the way how do I add this thread to My Forums?

It sounds like I probably will use the wall charger mostf the time unless I have a need to recharge at the field. Then I will use my cellpro Lab 8. Thanks

Does anyone that uses the 8FG S, charge their NiMh battery with a field charger at more than the 170mah wall charger rate? Like at 1C.

Hi Krysta, How high a charge rate can be used with the battery in the radio for the 8FGS, in case I have to use a field charger for a fast charge. It is a 1700 NiMh battery.

RE: Problem with futaba 8fg sensor being to sensitive. But FIXED
Hi Steve, I just received my new Futaba 8 Fg Super and am having a problem with the Link function not responding when I tap it twice. I have to really hit it hard to get that menu up. Radio is brand new no flights on it yet.I have 6 planes programmed in it. The place I bought it offered to exchange it but I don't want to have to re enter all the settings for the 6 models. Can I copy the settings from my SD card back to the new transmitter without losing all the info? Thanks

I just downloaded the Futaba File Utility and exported my models from my 8FG. All I see is an excel looking spread with the model names. Has anyone used it? Does it have all the settings for each model? How does it work?

I just got the 8FGS. My first radio with SD card capability. I copied all my models onto the SD card. Does anyone know if I took that card and put it in a brand new 8 or 12Fg, would I be able to copy all the models and settings into the new radio?

OK, got thru the first plane and the timer function on the throttle stick. I have flown full scale Cessnas with less capabilities than this radio. It is amazing. Does anyone know how to back up all your model info on the SD card?
