I'm not sure if Jeff is still makeing kits or not, but he puts out a very nice lazer cut kit of the Kwik Fli. I have one & its first class all the way. Check out his web site at Classic R/C Hobby, i believe it was formerly called Home & Hobby Solutions......Gene

RE: Confused
John, have a friend stand out at the end of the field, And then you fly towards him, what you believe to be wings level ( parallel to the flight line )and then ask if your wings were level. Chances are you are flying with the wing closest to you slightly low. Then as you pull to verticle the plane will naturally fly in towards the low wing on the verticle line...(.what SRT)[;)] said.......Gene

RE: Would appreciate advice for give-away plane
SBS PILOT, Yes the Kadetito is a scaled down Kadet. It is a VERY sturdy airframe as built with sticks. I have had children as young as 5 yrs old wiggle the sticks on a Kadet for an afternoon of fun & flying. Maybe another approach would be to ask him if he would be "available" to help you build one, and then take it from there. Anyway, hope what ever way you go works out for you....Gene[;)]

RE: Would appreciate advice for give-away plane
I think something in the line of a scaled down Kadet would be just right. Could be easily flown with glo or electric & everything from single channel to four channel. See thru covering looks vintage & nostalgic. Easy & inexpensive to build & even easier to fly. I'd be happy if someone gave me something along those lines.....Gene[;)]

RE: Hobbico Avistar a Performer?
Avistarpilot, the Avistar with an OS 55AX is a rocket! I flew mine for a season with a OS 40 LA then switched to a 55AX, its unreal. I have recently dropped a 40 back into it and added another servo along side the original so i could add flapperons. The Avistar is a real performer with both motors & will lift off with flapperons in under 20 feet even with the 40. I have dozens of planes to fly, but still get a kick out of flying my old Avistar. I have won fun fly events with it, so its not just a trainer.....Gene[;)]

You got good info here to not lock out your ailerons. Reduceing the throw is an option, but I'l let that decision up to your instructor....Gene[;)]

RE: First in Flight pics
Thanks for all the positive comments on the pics guys. I enjoy the show you jet pilots put on every year. The First in Flight jet rally has grown larger & larger each year we have it, and im looking foreward to that continued trend. Its alot of work that Larry, Mike , Robert & crew do but the results are well worth it. Most importantly, the pilots have acted profesionally & put on a fantastic safe show that the public enjoys. I am proud to work for a city ( City of Wilson ) that is happy to provide a place to for us to hold an event this size. The City's comittment to First in Flight is second to none. See you all again at First in Flight 2013....Gene [;)]
