RE: Eletronic engine syncronizer **SUPPORT **
personaly for safety reason i will never use my RX pack to glow !! i much prefer keep them separate but thats my choice
ORIGINAL: Gutaaaooo Hey Bill, just as a question, how are most "other" glow drivers doing it? I've used the sullivan glow driver, the align b6t (with is a 2s lipo regulator to the receiver + glow driver+ on/off, plus battery status+glow plug status) and one unit from imax witch is just like the align one, except half the price, and regulates the rx voltage to 5.3v instead of 6.0v like the align..... If you made a twinsync 3.0 with could be powered directly from a 2s lixx, and also power the receiver etc, that would be GREAT!!!! :P If I'm not wrong both the the align/imax use switching regulators
RE: KMP F-7F Tigercat
I use it ! its a great product, a must have on a twin its a bit hard to set it up but now there is good info about it its good also because it has a feature to light the glow at start up and during idle time so less chance to stall an engine at low RPM it also avoid spin when one engine switch off in sky by taking the other one to idle and then gives you the choice to raise the RPM of the left other engine slowly and land sorry for my bad english ;-) g
ORIGINAL: klazeem What do you guys think about using a product called twinsync? can be found at: http://www.troybuiltmodels.com/items/WRCTWINSYNC.html Any advice on this?... RE: KMP F-7F Tigercat
I would do 3010 every where if futaba if you use a engine synchronizer place 3010 on engine too cause they are precise good luck on build
ORIGINAL: klazeem Hi guys, just bought me a Tiger Cat..m not personally assembling the plane myself...but m supposed to get everything available to expedite the assembly...need some1's advice on which type of servo to be used on the plane...from the manual it says i need 13 servos...now i'm assuming standard size servos for all (i.e. futaba 3001 - torque 3.9kg/cm, speed 0.22 sec/60°) for all..but i also heard that i need a more powerful servo for the elevator (i.e. metal gear servo / ultra torque)....can anyone point out if i'm headed in the right direction?.... RE: KMP F-7F Tigercat
hello i have century jet landing gear and there is small iron bar to block the stearing when gears are up but it doesnt block anouth, the gear are perfect and realy reliable, but this front wheel is turning, now i will also use some elastic to hold the cable in place cause also this weekend the cable that control the gear went into something and at the moment i open the gear down she was twisted on one side, had to put it up and use rudder and down again and it was all ok hopefully ;-) Any one has an idea to block the wheel up (not turning while up)?
ORIGINAL: F82FAN Hi Ghost, I think many of the current owners have replaced the stock gear with Sierra Precision due to the many issues with the factory set. The Sierras have an ingenious pin-and-slot arrangement that prevents the nose gear from turning while retracted. Some of the guys use springs to keep tension on the pull-pull cables when retracted and that seems to work. Good luck. Can't wait to see the video! Wally
RE: Eletronic engine syncronizer **SUPPORT **
ORIGINAL: yl5295 I am not sure how that is possible... the only signals going between the glow driver and the twinsync is ground, a low current 0v or 3.3v to turn plugs on or off and a low current draw glow battery feedback. There are no voltages on the glow driver that high. Switch sides with the working glow driver and test good battery, low battery, and disconnected plug to make sure all of the indicators and glow driver are working ok on the damaged side. I want to make sure that your twinsync is not damaged before sending an international package. P.S. Nice looking plane
OK i'l try to invert the plugs and see if all is ok, but I'm preaty sure I tryed when i was looking for the problem this weekend here is a video of the WeekEnd

RE: Eletronic engine syncronizer **SUPPORT **
"If I understand what you are saying is that you hooked the glow driverto 4.5V? Yes that will blow the plug everytime. Yes I can sell you justone replacement glow driver." I have 1,5 V batt per engine as shown on pictures above one glow is still working perfect but the one that blown was sending 4.5V after burning and 3 V are cloming from the twinsync plus 1,3 from the batt and at the glow it was - 4,3V (minus) Strange i know but tthats what it was ;-) I think we inverted the plug but i'm not 100% sure since i was very carefull on this picture you can see i marked the screw in red to indicate the plus AS you can see only one battery of 1,5v and 5000mA Per engine
