RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-
Hi, i have a problem when doing jumps (silicone leak from the bottom of the shock body - from the shaft not the cap) and i was wondering if anyone can help or suggest a good optional shock set. Maybe Integy or ST RC ? Thanks

HPI G 3.0 vs T 3.0
Hi, does anybody knows the differences between these 2 engines? According to HPI the specs are the same, but this can not happen because they have different crank shaft. Maybe the G has more torgue? or the T revs higher? Actually i was wondering to buy one of these 2 for my DRX and because i own also a Firestorm i think that the G3 is faster than the GXR18 (but i don't know about the T3).

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-
Hi i finally got the RPM optonial arms (haven't installed yet) and i'm searching for a pair of good trction rear tires. So, which tires do you suggest? I was lloking for the Gladators or the dirt Hawgs. Actually i run only on hard dirt, not on grass or asphalt. Also is the front stock tires or any other tires (proline's?) that have these straight lines better (for front) than the tires that we put for rear?or it is better to have both front and rear the same type of tires?

RE: SH 18 vs GXR 18
Foxy, what do you mean the new sh? The only SH i can find on ebay is the SH 18 that comes with the Redcat volcano.

SH 18 vs GXR 18
Hi, Opinions... i own a Kyosho DRX 2 speed and i propably need new conrod, sleeve and piston so i was wondering that it is cheaper to buy a SH 18 engine. Is this faster than the gxr? Anyone who had experience?

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-
Hi guys, i would like your advice.... i am thinking to buy the RPM front & rear A arms and also the bumper (short). Are these aftermarket items good (better than the Hpi composite A arms)? also, according to your experience what spare parts i should buy in order to have a small stock in case of breaking something? Since i live in Greece and it is not so easy to get HPI parts i wondered to order some from Ebay.... Thanks

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-
i don't think it is the conditions because it has the same behaviour on any temp and place (from 10 to 20C - of course i always richen it when it is cold). Actually as you said i allways tune it according both the temp and the sound and revs of the engine, but as you also said when i try to lean it it sound like the mixture is too poor (now it is about 1 turn unscrewed from flush on 10C). Another thing that is weird is that after the break in when i opened the engine (i used to do it in all my engines) to see how it is i saw a few filings on it. Is this normal? Because in two previous engines i had (kyosho) i never saw something like this.

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-
I forgot to tell you that during the brake in i used Rapicon 16% (9 oil) and after 1 litre i changed to Byron 16 % (12 oil) beacausei thought that maybe the low percentage of oil could be the reason.

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-
Hi, i face a problem and i wondered if someone could help me. I have a nitro firestorm (the new one with 2.4Ghz) and after the break in period i started to progressively pushing the throttle more than the 1/2 (as Hpi recommends). At this point i noticed that with the needles on the default i had a temperature off 90-100 Celcius on the glow plug (measuring with a temp gauge for rc) although i didn't passed the 3/4 of the throttle. In order not to damage the engine i richen the HSN 1/8 and continue the progressively opening of the throttle until after 8-10 tanks i also richen the HSN another 1/4 in order to run in full throttle and keep the temp at max 110 C. So, my question is why the engine has this behaviour? Normally after the break in period the HSN should be very rich for normal running and it would need leaning not richening.... Is this a common behaviour or the engine has a problem? I also thought if it is a carburator problem. Do you guys had any similar experience? Thanks in advance.
