Which clutch for old GS ?
Hi all....... I have an older GS Storm Pro i got about a year ago, and now needs a complete clutch. When I got it, the seller said it was an Axial engine. A .32 i believe, with a 21 tooth bell, three clutch shoes. I've been told a clutch package for an Ofna would probably fit. Can anyone tell me if this is true ?

RE: [Deleted]
Ok... after reading some postings here, I HAD to add my two cents......... I bought a 1/8 Miss Elam this spring, and have run it quite a few times. I couldn't be happier with it. Stock out of the box, it's not the fastest boat around, but for a RTR, which most newbies are looking for, it is MORE than adaquete. I have not had any problems whatsoever with the hull.... there are no cracks anywhere. The decals suck, but the fiberglass and gel work is great. I did have some minor engine problems when the low idle screw backed out, but thats it. It always starts second or third pull..... Never had any problems with the clutch or water pump. It could definitly use a better turn fin, and a better rudder, but stock out of the box, dollar for dollar, it can't be beat. This is boat you can just take out of the box and have a great time with. Just my two cents !!!!! Mike

RE: Hydro airfoil ????z
Hi all !!! Haven't been back here for a while..... My stock Elam is running GREAT !!!! I tried a three blade prop.... a 6717/3 I believe it was, but it didn't work too well. The motor handled it just fine, and it made the boat a bit faster, but it raised the back of the boat WAY too much. Right on the edge of control !!! And it also cavitated bad in turns. Any suggestions for a faster prop out there? Mike

RE: Hydro airfoil ????z
I put a Proboat muffler on mine...... trying to keep the neighbors happy. It did quite it down a bit, but I also put some steel wool inside it to muffle it a little more. Not sure, but it might have slowed it down just a little. Maybe it just seems slower because it's not as loud !! But I have to add this, it seems to run better in the middle rpm range, and idles better too !

RE: Hydro airfoil ????z
Damn Ron..... now thats bad luck !!!! I'm having the same problem with my motor...... NO middle. Runs on top REALLY good, will even idle for a little while if I keep it cleaned out, but there is no middle at all. And the one end of the pond I run at is JUST wide enough to turn around on..... if I let off a bit. My boat is stock, but I think it should turn tighter..... rudder?... turn fin?..... both?

RE: Hydro airfoil ????z
Ran my hydro today and it tries to quit running at slow throttle also. I richened the LS needle a bit and it did seem to help.... if you figure it out, let us know. One thing I did notice, when the (stock) tank is full to 3/4 full, it seems to run great at all throttle settings. Guess it's the fuel sloshing around. I thought a bag would help that....

Hi all.... I'm looking to remove the choke plate on my Z 260... is it as easy as removing the screw that holds the plate to the shaft, then sliding the shaft out ? Looks TOO easy! Is there a ball and spring in there also? I'd like a bit of heads up before a try it, and I've already gotten a lot of good info here...... Ron, did you run that 'seal' around the entire top, or just at the carb cheek?

RE: Hydro airfoil ????z
Hey Davey, did you get you're boat today? I took mine to the pond... it ran great !! But I can see the hard fuel tank has to go. When it got low, it started spitting and sputtering, but still had over a quarter tank. Also seemed to get a lot of water around the carb intake, which I think helped the sputtering problem. She idled great, and top end was better than I expected, but the motor didn't seem to like mid-throttle positions too much. Does anyone know of a fix for that ? Maybe a click or two richer on the low needle? Other than that, she ran great!! I didn't have the front end lifting problem at take off.... she just picked up level and took off. The choke is a pain, I think that will be coming off. Ron, yours looks great. Oh yea, I also see an auto-bailer in my future!! Mike

Hey D-lo, I'm with you.... I'm hoping it's a "pull the starter cord and away she goes" type of thing. But I don't think so. This thread seems to cover 1/8 Hydros..... I'm getting a lot of good info.

WOOOO HOOOO !!!!!!! Just got my new Proboat 1/8 Miss Elam today! I love the smell of fresh fiberglass in the morning. Wasn't able to get it ready today, and of coarse its supposed to rain tomorrow. Any words of wisdom for my maiden voyage ? I was running a Nitro-Vee up to this point, and if it stalled, the electric back-up motor always brought it back in. I think I'll miss that. Except for the weight, it WAS a nice feature. ....... HHHHHMMMMM...... wouldn't be too hard to.......... NAH !!! Damn, this Elam is a nice looking boat .....

Ultimate or Pitts......Which one?
Looking to get my first bi-plane, 40 (50) size. I'm an ok pilot.... not into 3D, just ripping up the sky. I like the looks of both, but the covering on the Nitro models Pitt is really sharp. Any thoughts out there?

I built a Dazzler from a kit..... has a TT.46Pro on it....... I love this plane !!!!! Easy to fly...... very fast.... does anything I want it to do. I did put aluminium landing gear on it, the wire didn't hold up real well on the grass runway. GREAT PLANE !!!!!!
