Missing parts from kits
Often times I read posts from people complaining well just about everything, this time however I would like to say how well SIG mfg. took care of me I was missing parts for a kit so I emailed them I got my parts 4 days later, I then realized I was missing another part so I called them I expect to get it soon. SIG really did a nice job for me THANK YOU SIG. GREG

RE: New Great Planes Escapade 61.
I have not had a chance to fly mine this year due to poor weather and health issues but I bought mine when they first came out mine is powered with a OS 91 fs I tried to learn snap rolls with this plane and I just was not quick enough to get the plane to stop after just one i usually did 2 or 3 in a row nothing ever broke maybe the wings need to be glued together I was able to get the wing in my ford focus sedan in one piece even though I did not glue my wings. RE: Reciever Questions
I purchased 2 ar400"s they were $30 but due to poor weather and a VERY tail heavy plane I have not flown them yet[&o] I plan on trying them out in a foam sportster first and flying it out as far as I possibly can to see how well it works then reinstalling and rerange checking I probably should just save some money and get a rds8000 to replace my rd8000 that way I can be sure I wont have any problems. what I want in a radio is separate dual rate switches and a sub $250 price. RE: Magnum engines?
I bought a ASP 61fs it ran so well that I just bought the 91 and am currently installing it in a plane and I am looking forward to running it I also bought a magnum 46 when I ran it I did not have to adjust the low end needle on either engine. Time will tell if the engines were worth it but one thing I will do is follow the directions for breaking in the engines. Greg

AR400
I just got my new AR400 rx's and I even read the inst. my question is does the negative side go to the outside or inside of the RX. I will be using the first one in a 4ch glow model and I will use a standard Y harness does it matter if I reverse that channel I will most likely use the throttle channel. Thanks Greg

RE: Range checking a RD8000
We are located just off of first ave in Maywood across the street from Loyola hospital the clubs name is Checkerboard RC club. If you are closer to 22nd street (cermack rd) go north on first ave there are 2 entrances on your right.turn left at the T if you go in the first entrance. If you are closer to Roosevelt rd go south on first ave DO NOT TURN AT THE LIGHT (when you are on first ave) turn left at the next entrance when you are in the forest preserve turn right when the road turns into a T you will see a wooden fence and an impound box. you woulnt happen to be the guy who tows his planes on a trailer behind a MG would you because we met at a micro car show 1an 1/2 yrs ago in Crystal lake. I forgot to add go east on 22nd street and Roosevelt. Greg

Range checking a RD8000
I have a RD8000 (72mhz) that I have owned since they first came out and I can't find my inst. when you range check THIS radio is the antenna supposed to be all the way in OR should the first or lowest section of the antenna be pulled out. I had my first problem with this radio this week and I seem to remember something in the inst. about the correct way to range check it. Thank you Greg

RE: New Great Planes Escapade 61.
In one of my earlier posts my suggestion was to get 2 tubes that would fit over the rods/screws in the vertical stab that were as small a dia. as possible then drill out the holes in the bottom of the fuse so that those tubes would go through then put the tubes over the screws and slide everything together and remove the tubes and then put the rest of the hardware on my original post on this is somewhere on pages 1-3. RE: MSR X
OK I programed in the mixes on my DX6i I got to the last line SW GYRO in that line gyro is not listed.I am in airplane mode are the mixes automatic or do you have to flip a switch. I have had a computer radio for many years (an airtronics RD8000) I have had it ever since they first came out and with all of it's features I never even tried expo on any of my planes so using mixes is something new to me. If nothing else I am learning about my radio and it is easy to program now that I am getting used to it. I put FLAP in the box because the switch does say flap+gyro on it maybe I am missing something here I did not get a chance to fly it this way. Greg

Blade SR 120
I have a Blade SR 120 that I really enjoy trying to fly however it shakes but NOT all the time and it seems to be front to back and in a hover it swings fore and aft about 18in. both ways, of course I have crashed it but I have not broken anything could I have bent something when I first tried to fly it I bought used and previously programmed DX6i and I tried to fly it with the elevons enabled[:@] once I turned those off things went much better could I have bent something while trying to fly it then. I rally like this heli but shaking gets worse every flight even if I don't have a minor mishap with it and the fact that it is not all the time is odd. Thanks for any and all replies Greg

RE: Suggestions for the best .25 sized Sport/Scale ARF?
What I do with similar planes is leave one wing on usually the right. Sport scale planes in the 25 size range? airborne models has their extra 300 in their specials and overstock section for $89 but only in yellow. Greg

RE: MSR X
I have gotten used to the fact that mine goes left and backwards on take off then tilts the right I still cannot figure out why it goes round in circles by it self when I try to fly it just a little I am still going to try to fly it I have been flying in a SMALL church gym the last 2 days so I have flown all 3 helis many times I can fly the 120 sr better but it obvious to me that I need alot of practice with that heli it seems to have a bit of a shake to it at times maybe new blades? since I have 3 blade helis there is one thing that does NOT impress me on all 3 and that is the linear servos all three seem to exhibit the same inconsistent movement which is most evident on the mcx2 the only thing that works about the same on all three is the rudder response time. elevons and helis dont mix (dont ask) Happy Easter Greg

RE: MSR X
I bought a 120SR and have found it to be much easier to fly than my MSRX and easier see also where I really went wrong here is buying a used and previously programmed DX6I I bound it to the TX and tried to fly it after 2 battery packs and numerous crashes I looked further into the unfamiliar programming of the DX6i and found that the elevons were enabled, elevons and heli's don't mix after turning those OFF everything went MUCH better. should I be flying in heli mode or airplane mode on the DX6i. RE: MSR X
I was able to make a little progress flying this heli Monday night by buying a used DX6 I put 6 batteries through this thing in a small gym I was able to hover it and keep it within the center circle without touching the floor for 3 batteries (nose out) this was my goal. When I tried to fly it outside the circle it did not go well at all for me maybe I was going to slow???? I really don't know why or how it would enter a hands off circle and just go round and round like I was trying to flush it down a toilet ( I HAVE CONSIDERED THIS) oh well I still feel I made progress and if I have to take baby steps learning to fly this heli than so be it I am trying to keep a positive attitude towards learning to fly it just took getting a better radio than the stock one to make a little progress. RE: RTF Beginner?
Get a Bixler from Hobby King when they come back in stock. do a search on youtube on how to beef it up with high strength tape. A radio and a PROPER CHARGER for lipo's might blow your budget though. Greg
