RE: Monokote....Never Again
I build usually a plane a year. I also recover planes often. I use to use Ultracoat exclusively until I "figured out" how to use Monocoat and now I prefer the Monocoat. Seems more durable and just looks better longer. I have planes I built two or three years ago that the covering is still tight as a drum.

RE: walbra carb rebuild
Pretty sure there's no leak. It's rained solid for the last two days. Hopefully tomorrow I can get it dialed in.

walbra carb rebuild
I recently rebuilt the carb on my g62. It runs much better but I am now getting a surge mid range (couple hundred RPM's). I turned the low needle 1/4 turn both directions with no change then the rains came. I am thinking I need to lean out the low end. For all you experts does it sound like I am correct?

RE: jr 11x issue
Barracuda you were right on. I WAS rocking the Deans plugs causing a millsecond power loss when pluging the batteries in. I had probably done this in the past but I was only flying one electric plane and I never noticed it, now I have several electrics plus the deans plugs I have bought recently are actually a cheap copy which fit very tight, you really have to push them in hard where rocking naturally accurs. I knew I had everything setup properly but this one really had me stumped.

jr 11x issue
I bought a new 11x late last year. I wa at the field this`week for the first time and I have noticed ALL my planes when I turn them on after turning on the TX the receivers won't quit blinking. This happened with both my planes I took to the field and when I got home all my rx are doing this. The planes are functioning, heck i had a coupke flights today before I noticed this. Whats up. Has anyone had this issue before. I even tried rebinding a plane tonight and the RX still blinks after bind with everything working properly.

RE: Horizon stops all sales ON JR RADIOS
I too have never had any issue with losing my bind, I bought one of the first 2.4 radios JR released and am on my fourth (11x).

RE: Tameing the Trex 250?
I have both the clone and true blue Trex 250 and I agree, in the case of the 250's you get what you pay for. I originally bought the clone because of the success I had with the clone 450 but didn't like the "feel" of many of the small parts. I bought the Trex 250 and haven't looked back. I think when the parts are as small as they are on the 250 helis the machining and plastic parts tolerances really come to light. I do believe the 250 can be a handfull to fly at times not nearly as stable as the 450. I know you asked about the 250 but a nice 450 clone can be had for a good price and they do fly great, much more stable than the 250.

RE: Great Planes P-6E Hawk
I have one that Im thinking about sticking a DLE 30 in. I had to add so much weight up front that I think this would be a good match. Add a heavier engine and you won't have to add a pound of weight to get it to balance

RE: dle 30 won't run
Ralph, thanks for the offer. You have done magic on two of my G62's I sent you, but I will keep this side carb DLE. Well I got the engine started but it took a while. I added fuel to the carb but it wouldn't start. I added fuel into the two needle holes as was suggested and it wouldn't start. i added gas again to the carb then used my electric starter that I use on my glow engines and after a couple hundred rpm's it started. I ran 2 tanks of gas thru it and started it 4 more times with no issues.

this is my 4th gas engine. The other 3 all started right up and ran like champs from the get go. I have never had to fiddle with them so I no nothing other than adjusting the carb.

RE: dle 30 won't run
yes I can. I tried that first. I am going to pick up some tygon tubing tomorrow and fill a jar with gas, rotate the prop to see if I it will suck gas out of the jar. Too dark now to do anymore.

I just tried my buddys engine and can't blow air into it either. So now it appears it may not be plugged but I am still not getting gas.

dle 30 won't run
I have a new DLE 30 that I can not get to run. I don't believe I am getting gas (black neoprene lines). I took off the fuel line and tried to blow into the gas nipple on the side of the carb but I can't ,it appears plugged. I have never tried this before but I would think I could blow air in the fuel inlet (I can on my nitro engines). I have a good spark and my fuel lines are correct. any suggestions?

My understanding is there is a new version of the DLE 30 with the improved rear intake. Is this available anywhere and if not, when will this be on the market.

RE: CB100 vs mSR
I have the CB100 and really like it. I think the quality is very good. I have flown my friends MSR a few times and it also is a very good flyer. I don't think you could go wrong with either. The thing that I like about the CB100 is the brushless motors and the aluminum head parts. I also own the 4#3b and enjoy flying it but what tames my #4 down is the computer radio I use. I couldn't fly it until I purchased the Walkera 8303 radio. The 4#3b is still not as easy to fly as the cb100 but I enjoy flying it because it is a challenge.

Has anyone used a 20 X 10 3 blade prop on a G62? If so what could I expect in performance.

RE: new CB180D receiver broke?
I absolutely love it. I'm fairly new to Heli's haven started with the MSR and worked my way up to the Walkera 43b but to me this is alot less stressful than the smaller walkera and I am having a blast flying it in the house even though its like 4 times bigger.

RE: new CB180D receiver broke?
well it took me a while but I figured out what was wrong, well nothing. I had the digital servo for the throttle set at the mid point and when I adjutsed all the way to the lowest setting the helicopter motors started working. I have never had to do this on my electric planes with my 9303. oh well there sure is a big learning curve in this hobby.[&:]

new CB180D receiver broke?
I got my new CB180D yesterday and have been trying to get the thing to bind to my 2801 TX. I am aware that you can select 2401, 2601 & 2801 on the TX and I am using the tx on other helis with no issues but for some reason the new RX won't completely bind with the 2801. It will semi bind where I have movement of all servos but for some reason neither motor will work. It works the same in both 2801 and 2401 mode. Just for *****'s and giggles I tried my old 2401 Tx and the heli binds fine and flies with no issues. This in my mind has to be a problem with the RX. Has anyone similar issues or suggestions?

RE: Honey Bee FP
I recently purchased the walkera 2801 radio that has several high end features. I would like to use this radio with my HoneBee FP. I'm thinking about purchasing a Walkera 2605A RX for use in the HB. My question is, will the HB servos plug into the 2605A or does the 2605A require special servo wire ends. Another thing I will have to consider is will the 2605a or any walkera 4 in 1's be compatible with 11.1 volts.

RE: New 50CC Gasoline Engine from O.S. !!
1st, this doesn't look like a converted glow. It appears to be designed from a clean sheet of paper. There's nothing wrong with a gas engine having an appearance of a glow engine. I own a dl50 and I must say that it runs good but the quality is poor. I had to drill out and re-tap the muffler bolt holes. My spark plug threaded hole is drilled and tapped oversized and I can see this failing sometime down the road. I think my next gas purchase will be something a little bit better made. There are those of us that look for quality over price.
