Jimi skull got two k9 tattoo's.... he is surf harderd..no standard skull... ive modded him to handle the bigger surf with fibre glass rovings... Dremeled deep channels following the mold seams on his body and filled with mixture of tuffness its like giving him double bones.. plus he's got a covering of resin to save the wetsuit paint job he's got to be tuff to surf with the locals here ...ive been thinking of covering him with fibregass cloth once the stick is complete tho there isnt really the need to as he's doing fine.. so far pic's of the proto type board... Bad Omen, ive started to install the hardware ie. motor, servo and linkage [:-]

The board has had a hard life.... good n the bad.... wasnt worth the hassels trying to fix a leaky turd... Ended up taking the running gear out of Surf curls munched xt.... i will be sticking it all into the board im shaping here...

he got it good riddled the board with holes.. killed the receiver... i thought these things were unsinkable!!...... my lovely hound is part english bull terrier / boxer... he's about 5yrs old [:-]

Crew...thanks for the rad comments.. im new to shaping and glassing... i did get a few pointers from buddy who owns a local surfboard factory here in New plymouth...so he's been a huge help... tonight ive layered cloth and glassed over the board... hence the man cave picture John Maui... Yes im super keen for the dvd.. i emailed you so im waiting on your reply.. your clip is of the triple crown?? Carissa Moore (hawaii) has sponsered 3 gromits from my local surf club (WBBRC) for a trip to see a triple crown event next november.. Dam it's got me thinking of going as support crew [:-]

4 da performing seals... try your local engineering distributors they have a huge range in neoprene or soft cell pvc gaskets... ive just replaced my deck seals..[:-]

yeah cananzi ive made orders thro em' never had any issues with late arriving packages.... the rudder kits are good (linkages, servo arms ) just the rudder it self is weak.. probley be great for sandy beaches just not for reefs!! but yeah they do look cool [:-]

Shot jimi looking good. ive had one day in the wave the manta fin dose great for 1-2 ft .. havnt had any swell here for a month while ive been off work todays my last day at the grinder.. 10 hours of hell!! Picked up a JR pro racing tranmitter / rx last night The booket is like a bible!! [:-]

Sounds interesting if thats the future for r/c boards!! i'll be heading the oppersite direction!! Fibre glass boards like maui rc surf.. i havnt seen anything close for ripping solid surf than the hawaiian crew [:-]

Cananzi im using 19 x 2.5 o-rings i havnt broken one yet... touch wood Jimi i really carnt remember the size of the wing nuts for now but next time im in town i'll cheak em out.. Arrived today one NQD lisa... Im stoked to have a r/c surfie in there basic form..

Crew.. Im using the allen key trick or fishing line if im out sorts and forgot me gears.. seams to work.. ive made wing nut pegs and both seam to work fine so put that in ya pipe and smoke it....[:-] Here's a blog site for all the surf sounds ya need for working on ya boards... http://www.ratsurfradio.com/

Nice one look forward to sum vids bro.. I should be getting waves its about 3ft ive got a few days off work so ill be hitting the beach...its strong south east winds (off shores) and its the moon so big tides... Cananzi me bra i already surfed a hour that day.. Puniho road it looks a good wave but it isnt to intense gets rather boring after a while to surf.. if the wind stayed northery we would of gone to Stent road... that would be different skull would of stayed on the beach Jimi brada thats a great idea! I'll have to try that out, since im off work for a few more days.. wher do i get?? i make from resin and rolls of fibreglass cloth i have a few years in the trade making bodykits for cars and repairing my drift racing buddies write offs.. [:@] This pic's a smaller day at stent road.. Its always a battle with the winds here in N.Z One good thing is 10 guys out in the water is a crowd [:-]

A manta ray rudder fin i made last night.. JIMI Yeah P-road is a fun wave its one of the softer breaks around cape egmont so i thought i'd take skull there 1st to see how it went.. sweet as!! Bro hells gate, looks a fun spot nice to see a few bombs in the back ground [:-]

Bob Marley's uPVC glue is the stuff im using for all repairs on the board. she's messy SH#t takes 2-3 days to cure like rock but it's the good stuff.. marine epoxy joining plastic is a bane [:-]
