RE: Aeropet 50?
have the aeropet 50. Just finished with the assembly. very straight forward. Am using a 55ax in it. Running a 12x7 prop on it. Have flown it about 3 times since. Overall, a good flier. From my limited retract experience, cant comment much about them. I have since taken them out after they collapse on 2 occassions. Turned out that the nut thats holding the retract torque rod needed lots of tightening, problem is also compounded due to the fact that I am flying off a grass field. Have since changed it to a fixed landing gear. [:D] The only thing that bothers me a bit, which till this day, has not been resolved is the fuel tank position. In its original mounting position, its way too high up. Slightly more then 1 inch higher then the carb. There is no way to lower the fuel tank any lower either as the wing is in the way. This seems to be a problem the designers could not solve and simply pushed the product out into the market! As a result, fuel siphoning leaks are a regular occurrence. The only option is to buy a flatter tank. Still looking around for it. So far, have not spotted anything I could really use. So, if u are intending to get the Aeropet for urself, I would suggest not gluing the wing halves all the way in so as to enable the tank to be lowered.

RE: Kyosho Osmose 70, Sort of build thread (slow..)
ORIGINAL: Nigel201 Hi, thats my Osmose 70. I have used an OS55AX which fitted well in the cowl after a little trimming!! This kit is much better then the Oxy. The covering looks like it should stay on ok. The only things I have changed are the aileron links. I dont like the bends and plasitc keepers they supply. I have had three flights with the model so far and its superb! It locks into the manovers very well, rolls superb and spins fantastic. If the UK rain and wind ever stops I will go and fly it again....but that looks some time away at the moment.
Hi Nigel, have some questions for you.. 1) Did you have any problems with the OS55AX running inverted? 2) Did u use a pump or regulator to ensure smooth running? 3) What glow plugs did u use?? 4) Standard OS Muffler being used? I have always wanted a pattern plane to go with my 55AX too but held back cos I was afraid of potential inverted running problems. Care to share how you avoided these problems? Thanks

RE: DX-7 range problem today!!
ORIGINAL: The boys Back I have been using Spectrum here in the UK for a while now in Jets and large Petrol Planes. i have just fitted a twin RX set up in a 40% Extra and i mounted the 2 main RX at the back of the canopy well away from the fuel tank (as fluid completely blocks 2.4) and i extended the little cables that go to the sub RXs (by 5 foot) and stuck them up in the fin with velcro. this way i have a large footprint. i think it is very important in jets to seperate the RX from its sub RX by a fair distance as jets carry a lot of fuel and especialy a lightning with its unique tank set up. remember, the system can only work efectively if the TX can "see" the RX! Dave Stephens
Hi Dave, how do u setup a duo receiver system?

Funjet with Turbine?
Hi does anyone still remember that there was this group of ppl who installed micro-turbines into their funjets!? There was a discussion and video of their jets somewhere in the forums. I watched the video sometime back and was very impressed by it but unfortunately, lost the link. Was searching for the link but my search came up empty. Does anyone have the link??

Which Battery to Use?
Hi all, I am new to electrics..I am also electronics illiterate so this may sound like a silly question but I really do need help in this area. I have an AXI 2808/24. I am going to use it on my Ok Models Hydeaway which takes a 15-25 size glow engine. Which 3 cell Lithium battery should I use? Cos I noticed that they come in different amps and voltages. Should I just go for the highest one? :( [sm=confused.gif]
