RE: Where to live?
I would definately second Arizona. I have been here 13 years and love it! Although, Phx is getting BIG!!! Check out Prescott. It is really nice up there. Flagstaff, ShowLow Payson areas are nice too. Great weather, good people, taxes are cheap relative to other states. And, any direction you go, is diferent activities and climate. National and geo political shenanigans are what they are. Aint gonna change. The US is depressed right now. The American people will overcome, as they always do. Good luck with your endeavours...

New EFlite BAE Hawk EDF
Hey guys, I am new to the EDF jet scene, intrigued to say the least. Considering how far technology has taken all of us...thought it might be fun...and hate the foamie jobs. But, saw an ad for the new BAE Hawk in the RCU rag...and was curious. After some interesting vids on the website...was wondering if there are any out there flying. And, also IMHO, I think E flite dropped the ball with NOT putting retracts on the plane...and was wondering if anyone besides me has considered a little kit bashing project. Well, thats all I got, email me if you have any info or are 'in the know' gpoore@cox.net

RE: 450 480 e flite motor question
I am with ya on all the calcs. But I think I can help you out with this. I have the same setup on my mini: 450 outrunner and 10x7 prop w/ cc25 running on 2000 3cell TP. I like the way mine flies. Now my buddy has the same plane with the 480 outrunner, cc35, 2100 3cell TP; and it is a rocket ship. He started with a 12x8 prop but the flight times were fairly short due to large amp draws. So he put on an 11x8 prop and it is a match made in heaven. Tons of torque, unlimited vertical and fast, w/ about twenty minute flight times. So, in short... 480 outrunner, cc35 and your battery w/ 11x8 prop will get what you are looking for. And, if you havent already, get a new TP 3cell 2100 prolite. It is a phenomenal battery! The only heads up is the mounting of the 480 motor requires drilling new holes for the blind nuts. Not a big deal, just not a bolt on application like the 450. Good luck.

RE: GP Lancair (best) engine-in-cowl
Yep, one hole on the port side for igniter, one small hole on top for the needle valve, and one on the bottom for the muffler. Very clean and very scale. The airplane rolls solid and climbs out fast. It will take off at half throttle. Ive never done vertical, but would guess it would go and go and go. I have heard a couple guys putting saito 100T on this airplane, would be nice for scale, but alot of uneccessary weight. And, too much power IMO. Good luck

RE: GP Lancair (best) engine-in-cowl
Ive got an OS 61 with an in cowl muffler. A three blade prop with alum. spinner. Looks and sounds very good, no additional weight needed, in fact I had to add two wheel collars to the tail to get it spot on. The plane flies with alot of authority, plenty of power.

Prints needed for TF cessna 182 Gold Edition
Guys and gals: Happy new year. I have acquired an almost ARC cessna with all the goodies. And plan to permanently affix to SC edo flat top floats. Anyway, included were plans all cut up for individual empanages, which is fine. But, I would like to find a clean set of prints for the bin. If you have a set, please LMK and I will cover the costs of copy and shipping, and a little extra for your time. Thanks in advance.. Greg
