As I'm in the UK, telephoning is the last option, at the moment over the last 3 weeks I've sent 4 emails direct to Kangke for support/help without any luck.

RE: Identify who's kit or plans is this Lancaster bomber built from?
Mainly Models in the UK (http://www.mainlymodels.com) produce their own 120" (or bigger) version of a Lancaster kit. The owners name is Barry, and his contact details are on his web site. I've seen him fly her so low he took the bottom off one of the rudders. [image]http://server9.web-mania.com/users/rcmodelf/gallery/albums/userpics/normal_Lanc%203.JPG[/image]

RE: New Seagull Ultimate build (with pictures)
Once again the supplied engine mount(s) are top quality, and even using the largest recommend engine (OS120-FSe) the pre-drilled holes in the firewall are exactly where needed. I clamped the engine in to get the correct distance for the spinner. [image]http://www.rcmf.co.uk/gallery/albums/userpics/10010/eng6.jpg[/image] Someone at Seagull has spent some time over this model, even providing this box section behind the firewall than not only will hold the tank, but will also stop the tank pipes from getting kinked. New Seagull Ultimate build (with pictures)
Got me a new kit, a Seagull Ultmate, one of their latest versions. [quote]A great looking and very aerobatic model of this superb aeroplane, covered in a dazzling colour scheme with the ultimate covering,Profilm. Designed for intermediate to advanced pilots. Wingspan 53.5ins. Length 59.4ins. Suits 91/120 2 strokes or 4 strokes. Requires 6 channel radio with 6 servo's. Approx flying weight 9.2/10.6lbs.[/quote] [image]http://85.234.152.121/gallery/albums/userpics/10010/snap.jpg[/image] Very pretty looking and not your run of the mill ultimate scheme Opening the box, reveals so very well packed parts, and not a wrinkle to be seen. [image]http://85.234.152.121/gallery/albums/userpics/10010/kit1.jpg[/image] First step, seperate the ailerons from the wings, to remove the CA hinges [image]http://85.234.152.121/gallery/albums/userpics/10010/winga.jpg[/image] I always mark the centres on the hinges, then fold them over, that way when inserted back into the wing, its easy to get them not only in at the correct angle (and centered) but also its easy to wick thin CA into the hinge. [image]http://85.234.152.121/gallery/albums/userpics/10010/wingc.jpg[/image] then I push a "t" pin into the wing till it just touches the hinge, then cut 1/8" above the surface with a cutoff wheel. Then simply push the pin into the hinge till its flush with the surface, I repeat this on both wing and ailerons (doing this from the bottom, means it doesnt show). [image]http://85.234.152.121/gallery/albums/userpics/10010/wingd.jpg[/image] And the same with the stab and fin [image]http://85.234.152.121/gallery/albums/userpics/10010/tailb.jpg[/image] It seems Seagull have heard the complaints about supplied hardware, and the included components are excellent. These are the Rudder horns (Pull-Pull, supplied system) [image]http://85.234.152.121/gallery/albums/userpics/10010/taile.jpg[/image] The only hardware parts I havent used (and its no reflection on the kit) is my pushrods are Carbon Fibre. [image]http://www.rcmf.co.uk/gallery/albums/userpics/10010/mimage4.jpg[/image] Very impressive kit, and even the office is fully populated [image]http://www.rcmf.co.uk/gallery/albums/userpics/10010/eng1.jpg[/image] tomorrow I'll install the engine (OS FS120-E)

RE: Bristol Beaufighter
I'm in the middle of designing my own plans (and they will be a free download) heres the data so far I've drawn both built up and provided foam templates (inc washout) for the wing outer panels from just after the engines, these will be removable to assist in transport. Engines used: Low end of the weight scale would be a pair of 60 4-strokes, top end a pair of 90 4-strokes (no screaming 2-strokes please) wing area: 1190 (ish, still playing with the outer panels) Weight: 17~19Lbs Wing loading (@17Lb) Ounces / Sq. Foot 23.9 7.07 Wing loading (@19Lb) Ounces / Sq. Foot 26.7 7.90 [image]http://www.rcmodelflyers.co.uk/uploads/beau.jpg[/image] There are more details here :- http://www.rcmodelflyers.co.uk/4um/index.php?topic=15213.0

If its the 90A, I've just taken delivery of mine and started assembly. I'm going with an MVVS 1.26 fits in the cowl great, and Kange favour this type of Gas over modified industrial engines

RE: Skyshark Aichi (VAL) Build
Shes looking good Craig. Now I've maidened the 109-E, I'm getting back on with my Val. Took me hours yesterday to find some of the parts [:-], but I found them in the end. Installed the pilots (had to cut their legs off at the knees, big swig of whiskey, and they never felt a thing). I also installed the RCV 58-CD, boy talk about fitting in the cowl [X(]. I've also done some thinking about the spats, as they were my main headache, and I think I have a solution, but more on that latter.

Skyshark ME109-E Build (Now Flying)
Well after waiting some time, I finally got a delivery this morning of my 109-E, wow was it ever worth the wait. This is the first kit that skyskark have replaced the ABS parts for real GF moulded ones, and what a difference that will make not only to the build but also the longevity of the model. I love the supplied scale Ally spinner, what a nice touch. Latter today, I'll start putting this puppy together and upload the progress.

RE: Skyshark ME109-E Build
Well its taken a while (job, vacation, family etc) but today she had her first if somewhat short (engine was only on the 2nd tank full) maiden flight, and wow what a beauty she looks in the sky. Ironically the location of the test flight was an area that was straffed by 109-e's during WWII, as it was a tank assembly point for D day, and a major amunitions factory area. Just gotta tighten up a few screws, attach the flap servo extension leads and next Friday should see many flights and even more pictures. Otherwise the flight was on-par for Skyshark kits, took off with no nasty vises or major trims changes.

Not only does jesse do excellent kits (I have had the Vailley 109 & Ziroli B-25) but he is also one damned fine fellow. When someone was selling a set of Robarts for the B-25 in the USA. Jesse sent him a check on my behalf, as I live in the UK, then shipped the retracts to me. what a top guy.

RE: Skyshark ME109-E Build
I had hoped by now to have had the maiden flight, however I ran into a slight snag, in that I would have had to cut away not only a large amount of the bottom of the cowl, but worse still some of the side in order to get the muffler (silencer) to fit, as I had used a 4-cycle engine. I called Just Engines (http://www.justengines.unseen.org) and they have these fantastic replacement manifolds. [img]http://rc-b25.freewebspace.com/skyshark/109/pipe1.jpg[/img] They have them available in other angles as well, but the 110 degree pipe now brings the muffler back into the cowl towards the firewall, this means apart from the exit hole, I dont need to go hacking that great looking cowl to bits. Now I can get on and schedule the maiden flight. [img]http://rc-b25.freewebspace.com/skyshark/109/pipe2.jpg[/img]
