RE: TF GS P47 Build - yeah another bloody one!!
Hey Pete, your rivets look really good! Congrats. I am just starting to rivet my '47, and have run into a bit of difficulty in regards to good documentation showing the rivet patterns, particularly on the cowl. Do you have some good sources you could share? Here is a link to my first riveting experience... http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=861095&page=30 Thanks for any help or advice...

RE: Some of my FPV videos
Are you also using the go pro as the fpv camera? Does I work properly? I just ordered an eagle tree system for another plane and hope it doesn't have the same incompatibility as the range video osd with this camera

RE: Some of my FPV videos
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you guys. I use a Range Video OSD - you can learn about it here: http://www.rangevideo.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=49&products_id=135 I am using 1.3GHz video, and was using a kx191 camera. I am now using a [link=http://gopro.com]Go Pro[/link] as my FPV camera. Nice having HD recordings! I have more videos no in my vimeo channel http://vimeo.com/user3970880/videos

Maybe I just havent found them yet. RE: FW 190D Kits?????
Just to let you know I received a package from Bob today with all the missing parts from my kit. He took a $45 whack on the postage of these items. To me that is great service - he quickly made good his error and I had no problems whatsoever. Good stuff - now to finish my other projects so I can get to this one!

RE: FW 190D Kits?????
Hey Rich did not mean to sound as if I was dumping on him, he was really fantastic with email contact for over a month while I was organising transport for my kit back to Australia. He was very helpful. I am just eager to get going with this kit! :D

RE: FW 190D Kits?????
Well got my Holman kit a couple of weeks ago. A good friend who was in the states brought that huge box back on the airline for me - AT NO CHARGE! Free shipping to Australia! Very happy about that! It should have cost USD$100 for the airline to bring it back but they checked the damn thing right in no questions! You've got to love that! Unfortunately all the wood formers were missing from the kit, and I had two left centre wing sections instead of a right and left, but Bob said he would send the other stuff out to me. Was a while ago now so thinking he may have sent it sea mail! I'll have to check back. Anyway it looks like a great quality kit.

Hi Wulf, I wouldn't mind a copy of that manual as well if you ever scan it. Now off to RCSB to find Tom's build thread! I can't wait to order this one!

I too would like to know what gear people are using etc. And a build thread would be great. Google doesn't reveal much about this plane. I'll be ordering mine soon too!

Yup! I have a kit reserved with Bob, and as soon as my traveling friend confirms the date and address of his travel in the US, I will be completing the order. Exciting!

He quoted me $450. I am going to grab one. I found out I can get it brought to Australia for only $100 with a friend traveling back on an airline. Excellent!

RE: FW 190D Kits?????
Great stuff Wulf. Thanks very much. I have to see if this friend of mine would be wiling to cart all of this stuff back once he realises how big the box may be! I'll wait and see how Bob replies. Again thanks very much. You'd be surprised how tricky it can be to get accurate information about the availability of kits etc. Especially here where hobby stores don't carry a huge range of these types of products. I'll definitely be going electric with this one, so that conversion will be a bit of a challenge but not too bad I'm sure. Wonder how that'll effect balance. ANyone done an electric conversion on of these kits?

RE: FW 190D Kits?????
Thanks very much guys. Holman it is! I hope he responds to emails because calling from Australia may be problematic with the time difference. I am pretty excited I found this kit. So your saying he can sell all the other accessories too, like cockpit, guns etc? Looking forward to his response then. Also the price seems good comparatively.

RE: FW 190D Kits?????
ORIGINAL: wulf190 Bob Holman Plans and IMP should be good places to look. The ones below are Holmans. I also have the IMP Dora in 1/5. It's a nose bigger than the Holman's but not much. It's hard to top the Holman kits for quality, price and flyability IMHO.
I also have been wanting a 190 D9 for a long time. I have a friend going to the states soon, and he may just ferry a kit all the way back to Australia for me! The Holman 190D9 sounds interesting. IMP looks OK but the canopy is way off. Could you tell me where you got your Holman 190 D9? Does it come in a complete kit? I tried his website but I can't seem to find it. Thanks.
