RE: The Official Losi Desert Truck Thread!
I'm wondering why Towerhobbies doesn't stock any Losi items? This Desert Truck could have been a good buy if only Tower had stocks for it.

RE: bodies and tires for e-firestorm
I'm not that sure, but I think these bodies would be a good fit for the E-firestorm. Anyone can correct me if I'm mistaken. [;)] http://www.hpieurope.com/piw.php?lang=en&partNo=7123

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Hi guys. It has been advertised that the E-Firestorm is brushless ready. I have the red one with everything stock. I would like to shift to brushless soon, but I'd like to assume that I don't need to replace my batteries, ESC and gear combinations anymore as it is considered "brushless" ready. Am I correct in my assumption? If otherwise, can someone recommend good but affordable brands for the brushless motor, ESC, etc. Many thanks!

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Thank you. I've ran my Firestorm over sand, rocks, and pavement and done some mini jumps over curbs and doing those have left me satisfied with what my kit has done so far. [;)]

RE: tt-01 vs ta-05???
Many thanks. From what I've been reading elsewhere, it does seem that the TA05 is the clear favorite compared to any of HPI's similarly designed chasses.

RE: tt-01 vs ta-05???
Questions: 1. How does HPI's Sprint 2 sport kits compare with TA05 stock kits? Which is better and why? 2. What hop ups are already included in a basic TA05 kit? Thanks!

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
I just had my TT01 hopped up with ball bearings, adjustable upper arms, a turnbuckle tie-rod set, CVA oil-filled cylinders, and an aluminum shaft, BUT it is still not driving straight. [:@] AARGH! I'm sure the slops have decreased after the hopping up, but the car still can't go straight even after adjusting the steering trim in my controller. I am getting depressed after spending all that money only to see my nagging problem still there. What else could be wrong? [&o][&o][&o]

Many thanks! I also inspected my chassis for noticeable cracks and I haven't found any except for the scratches that come with the usual driving on road.

Based on your experience with bashing and racing TT01s, can anyone attest to its durability, as I'm kind of worried that my kit might have gotten brittle after the slam. Thanks! [:o] [:(]
ORIGINAL: chrisestt01 - Ball bearings (makes it go faster and smoother) - Bearing steering set (more precise steering) - Oil dampers (better road holding) There are too many hop ups. It really depends on your budget and what you want to use the car for. Once you get started, you will get hooked and end up buying all the hop ups ;-)
Thank you very much. Actually, I just ordered the following from Towerhobbies and I think they are on their way: 1. TT01 Tie rod turnbuckle set 2. Adjustable upper arm for TT01 3. CVA Mini cylinder shocks 4. Ball bearings 5. Aluminum propeller shaft I think you're correct as I can infer that this hobby might be a bad habit to break. I'm wondering what are the turnbuckle and adjustable upper arms useful for?

I have a TT01 chassis. I'm not looking to race the kit, as I only want to drive it around the parking area. However, I still would like to add hop up parts to improve the over all quality of the car. In this case, what hop up parts should I get? Thanks!

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
ORIGINAL: TIGER76 Hey m8 regarding the batteries when they start to lose there punch and speed they generally start dieing off. that battery your using is a small sized battery (1600) so im guessing its a nicad type, getting abigger battery will result in longer run times and more power. I think nicads go up to 2300 size then nimh type takes over.(up to 4300 etc) Ive ran a 2100 nicad and usually get about ten mins flatout runs with it so you should be getting the same run times etc regarding running the battery down you can either run the car til it stops or use a motor and hook it up out of the car to drain it down, Nicads are nice and cheap due to there size but nimh are the way forward nowadays for power and runtimes. hope this helps ya [;)] ive also noticed with nicad if youve charged them and havent used then straight away its worth putting them back on charge before a run as they seem to lose power while sitting doing nothing.
Thanks for the info. Cheers! [;)]

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
I'm a newbie. I don't have the time to search the TT01 thread because it has gone way too long already. I have some questions regarding my RC batteries. I'm using a 7.2V 1600mAh battery for my TT01. What are the basic signs that your battery has gone flat already? The answer may sound too obvious but I would like to know as other reasons may be apparent. Second, what is the best way to discharge my batteries without using my car? Thanks a lot!
