RE: Anybody do any running lately??
So I forgot to change out my batt's and I watched my car travel at top speed again into a curb in the same lot as before.... Blew out my gas tank and bent the frame a bit... not too bad but I have to wait on a new tank now... guess that give me time to recharge the batt's!

RE: For anyone and everyone
I am fulfilling a dream planted by my father. My parents divorced when I was young and I would see my father on weekends or whenever. He always talked about us getting RC airplanes, he would take me to hobby shops and air shows.. Well like most things it never happened and then my father died from complications after triple bypass. Now 34 years old... Working a great job and able to save and spend a bit more now I have decided to go back and accomplish many things that I missed out on growing up. Newest car bought last night Vulcan 1/16 nitro

Identify this part?
On the CLERMONT MOTOR SPORTS site they had 3 listings for front arms so I got all 3. Two match what I already had and were replaced. But, I was left with this one. Where does it go? Also Question? I ordered a set of dog bones for the FWD but they are too short any one know what size to order?

RE: 80+ MPH?! I don't think so...
I have noticed many cheap cars sold at local retailers (wally world) like to use the phrase " 50 mph scale " That would be about 10 mph?

RE: Tornado vs Curb! top Speed!
Question........... Took a closer look at the car today after I was having trouble going straight. The glue on my rear tire is gone and the wheel is slipping causing the nascar like action.. What is a good glue to use to fix this? Any type of prep for the wheel first? -ash

RE: Upgrading Transmitter Question
I changed my transmitter and receiver but kept the old servos and it works fine... Going to save them in case old ones go bad. On this type of model do you have to use a matching receiver? Or can you adjust it to work with any receiver? -ash

RE: are you beginner.all i can say is Practice at driving
The recent destruction of my tornado after just one week... Now I sit impatient and going nutz wanting to hit the dirt.. I put some nitro in it and sat on the deck just to let it go thru a tank... You start to appreciate that smell. I will promise you that when my parts get here and I fix it up... My tornado will not come within a mile of any curbs... Lesson learned!

RE: Electronics Problem
Changed out my receiver and control... Fixed the glitch! Mine will go about 200 yards at least and have not had a problem other than my driving. I can control it across a wal mart parking lot. It is super fast!!!!! Just upgrade... Takes 5 mins for a novice like me... It's well worth it. What is the top speed? I really think mine is about 50mph... If it had wings it would fly! -ash

RE: Electronics Problem
update.... Changed the crystals... no luck... then changed the transmitter and receiver... and bingo I got a working set... I guess the crystal, receiver were fried or something... I used new battery's... So I don't think its my fault... waiting to hear back from Redcat for a credit or some type. Car is running great got about 15 mins of run time trying to break in the engine... Then I lost my throttle spring... Replaced it the next day with a spring from a ballpoint pen! Forgot to charge my glow plug ignitor... Oh what fun it is being a newbie[8|] -ash

RE: Electronics Problem
Whats up... Update!!!! Think I figured out what is wrong. I went ahead and bought a new transmitter and receiver ( after reading the forums seen a few that suggested to change them out for better experience ) and it seems to work. I swapped out crystals to check that and no luck. Changed the battery cradle, receiver and transmitter... seems to be working its been about 10 min's now. Only problem it that I now have 72 mhz for aircraft only. So I will have to buy news one. Total I have spent about $50.00 to get to this point. Hope toi get some dirt time tomorrow after picking up some crystals... any clue how much they cost? whats a good feq to get. -ash

RE: Electronics Problem
Still trying to figure this out.... This slow start is really starting to kill me... All I want to do is hear that whinning engine and get some dirt time...[:(] Redcat suggested that I replace the battery pack/ cradle.. Have not had a chance to get to RS to do that yet. I just bought a new Fatuba attack II on ebay it comes with 2 servos and transmitter and 72 mhz crystals. When you replace a controller do have to change the transmitter with it? Or just changing the crystals all I need to do? Should I change everything out or stick with the stock servos and transmitter... Is there anything that I need to watch out for while doing this? Thanks -ash

Starter Questions
Okay so I am new to this... Something that I have wanted to do for sometime. I bought a Torando BB off ebay from Redcat Racing. The car was cheap so dont knock it if you dont like it. Question is this. What is a good fuel to use? I found something called starter fuel. Is this stuff legit of just a gimick? Thanks -ash
