RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum
good lord this board is dead, although I have been trying to make it a bit more alive, hardly anybody is posting responses or replies. I guess I should migrate to the Walkera 4 board, shy of 300 pages.
ORIGINAL: FiveOclockCharlie gueshwe I like the new paint job ! I`m guessin ya peeled the decals off before ya painted it.And I thought all rotors had the tips painted anyway. That might keep me away from walls better ! Is the paint gonna mess up your balance ? I work at a chemical plant dealing in surface material science , and we have EXPENSIVE digital scales<$10,000-$15,000>
ORIGINAL: FiveOclockCharlie gueshwe , thats neat man , I hope that I can get that far , but....uh....what happened durin that fade out???
tks man but I am not "that far", you'll see once you'll understand how sensitive the helicopter is, it'll get much easier. The only advice I can give you is to have a VERY VERY light touch on the controller

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum
makatron, cheesenegs: you can simply paint the stock blades using a white spray paint KRYLON fusion for plastic (no sanding, no priming). and make sure that u let it dry between each layer!! RAIDENTECH suks so bad and has the worse customer service, what I am saying: they have no customer service whatsoever, they have never returned my calls or emails. I guess I still was pretty lucky to receive my falcon 40 quickly. Now I am only buying parts from ushobbysupply.com, url given to me by an other user on the forum when i complained about raidentech. the guy from ushobbysupply, michael, is really on top of his business and i have always received my spare parts 2days after ordering. I order the walkera4 parts for my falcon, considering they are identical choppers. DOOMSDAY: remember my post about the guiding ring a few days earlier? well i forgot to specify that the ring is still intact, that's the two "arms" on each side of it that broke. My helicopter seems to fly properly (check video), even without the arms. So I am really wondering if I should change it, maybe Ill order a ring with my next order. THat'd be cool if some of you guys could post videos and give us advice about flying. ;) here are a few pics of the broken guiding ring, the spray can I have used for the blades and misc pics of the gold and white falcon.

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum
hey guys was a great day, I took my falcon 40 outdoors after practicing in a small room through 10batteries. i did great and flew the heli higher than my two level house!!! was soooo cool but so stressful. anyway i still ended up crashing in a tree and broke the "guiding ring", and although its broken the heli seems to still be working properly, so am wondering, whats really the use of this part???? should I change it?

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum
MCWIMP : tks a lot for the info man! same thing is just happening to me, last week I place an order from raidentech , I tried to get a hold of them to add more items to my order since I broke my main blade holder set and lost a bearing, but there is strictly no way to reach anybody there, always reach the answering machine. their customer service is inexistent, it's the last time I order from them. I checked that site http://ushobbysupply.com u gave me, seems nice I think I'll give it a try. However I couldn't find any phone number to contact them. Did they reply to your email quickly? I will order the DF4 parts since you told me they were interchangeable with the Falcon 40. Tks for the advice about the superskids.... That's something I took care of as soon as I received my chopper. I ordered the white skids hoping that I would be able to dye them the same green as the canopy. As any of you experienced dyeing their skids??? any advices?? DOOMSDAY: when i said i was considering buying metal parts I wasn't trying to upgrade the heli in any way but to make it simply stronger. For instance i would love to find a metal main blade holder set.

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum
Hey guys!!! I just want to say hello, am so glad I found that board about the Falcon 40. I am a newbie, I have just started flying 6batteries ago and can pretty much sustain a decent hovering in a small room. I love that stuff!!! I had ordered a DF4 from raidentech and receive a Falcon 40 instead, thank god! seems like the Falcon is more reliable than DF4..... I havent had any problem with my bird and am very happy about it, and would encourage anybody to buy it as a first helli. The ratio price/quality cannot be beaten!! Anyways I have a few question and hope some of you can answer them: 1) Can I order Dragonfly 4 parts and use them on my falcon 40? 2) where can I find spare metal parts for my chopper? Cuz I just broke today main blade holder set (50h01-01), glued it back together works fine but would like to buy some stronger parts. 3) Is there any advantage other than aesthetic to use carbon blades? (although i cant seem to find any for this heli) 4)I have a 10T gear , would switching it to a 11t or 12t increase the rotor speed, considering my motor doesnt get to hot after flying? 5)I see a lot of people ordering lipo batteries but considering lipo+charger+dc adapter costs around 50bucks is it really worth it spending that much on a 70bucks heli? I was actually thinking to simply order 2 or 3 more stock batteries for less than 30 bucks thus allowing almost 20mins flying time.... does that makes sense to you? 6)Man this sucks everytime I'd break a part I would have to order it online, and none of the hobby store in my area carry spare for my helli, does anybody live in long island (NY) knows a place where I can buy that? I have so many other questions but I'll take it easy for now and hope that some of you'd be able to answer a few. It's been only barely a week and am already hooked to the hobby, I wanna learn everything there is to know about it and improve my flying skills. Take care guys. Hugo

RE: X-heli sent Falcon 40 for Dragon 4
I ordered a dragonfly 4 from raidentech and ,same thing, they sent me a falcon 40. I realized right away that the two birds were exactly the same, the falcon is actually a little more expensive. Seem like an upgraded DF4 with better parts. I have had is for a few days and am not disappointed at all, considering I have heard so many bad things about the DF4. Does anybody know if I can buy parts from the DF4 and use them on my falcon? And where could I find metal parts for this chopper? I am so glad I started this hobby!!!
