Ken, Just got in from the field and everything looks good. There is still a lot of water but none on the runway, pit area and taxi ways. We are good to go. Gus

RE: NETRC IMAA MINI-FEST
Ken, I will be glad to give up an update. The gravled parking lot at the field will hold approximately 30 to 40 trucks and trailers so to insure your parking spot you should be at the field early on Saturday. The pit area is concrete so that shouldn't be a problem if you are there early. Gus

NETRC IMAA MINI-FEST
The NETRC IMAA Mini-Fest will be held on October 17 and 18 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. NOTICE We have had a lot of rain in the past month and we are still getting it. Some of our field is under water. We have a very niice facility, however parking and pitting will be limited. All campers and motorhomes will have to park approximately 0,4 miles from the field. Due to the softness of the ground the property owners won't let us part on the grass. We will run a shuttle if this becomes necessary. If you can buddy up with another person or persons to come in one vehicle that will help. We will make it through the event but we will need your understanding and help. I wish we could do something about this darn rain. Gus Hudson - CD

RE: Mt. Pleasant Jet Rally
I would like to express my appreciation to all who attended this past weekend. I hope everyone had a good time after all that's what is it all about. Thanks to Doug for filling in for me during my illness at a most inconvenient time. Thanks to all of our club members who worked their tail off, it is much appreciated. A special tanks to BVM for their continued support, what a great friend that goes way beyond the business aspect of it all. Thanks to Bob-O for all of his help and I must admit a calming factor for me during my illness. I am feeling much better now and I hope that you all will come next year. Weather permitting we will keep improving our facility thanks to you and our fellow modelers who support our events each year. If you have any suggestions that will help us improve our events we are all ears. Once again, you will never know how much I appreciate our friendship. Gus

Ok Mike. I can't believe you and Cindy aren't coming to Texas. Bob-O and I have decided to boycott your event until you come to ours. The last time you where here you were wearing bell bottom slacks. That's how long it's been. Turn loose of some of that money and take your wife on a vacation to Texas. Gus

RE: Mississippi Afterburner
Vernon, Dennis and David, What a wonderful event you all put on. You should not be surprised that it went so well. You three are great individuals who give so much to the jet community. I remember back in the 80's (not sure what year) when Mt. Pleasant had its first jet event. Vernon and Dennis showed up. I had broken something on my jet and I was down for the weekend. Vernon gave me the part that I needed and I had never met him before. I have never forgotten that. I'm not able to fly as much as I use to but I would never miss your event. Thanks to everyone who made this event possible. It was the best. Gus
