RE: Hangar 9 1/4 Scale Piper Cub ARF???
How did they put the firewall in. I do not see how this could be a problem in this day and age. I thought the mfg's of high end arf's learned their lesson about this a while back. This is a p.r. disaster if it is true. Look at all the ads for the thing. I have one on order and it should arrive within a week. I was looking forward to getting it, but now? Dont get me wrong, I am not questioning that yours failed. I am hoping it is an isolated issue. Thanks for your post, Mike K.

I have enlarged drawings to do @110" 335. What keeps me from doing it is the rear engine location. I would like to see how the plans you have do the shaft ext. Does it use c/v joints and carrier bearings of some type? Mike K.

RE: moki reverse crank
Thanks for the input. I am seeking opinions on weather or not reverse rotation is beneficial. Rotating the housing is not an option now due to the way I have set up firewall. It can be re-done if I had to. Has anyone out there run the 1.8 or 2.1 with reverse crank or rotated housing? As for props I saw listings in the past stating they are available. Can anyone point me to a source? Thanks again for any and all info. Mike K.

RE: moki reverse crank
The way I understand it is the front housing can be rotated 90 CCW, but this puts the carb on the same side as exh port. Moki used to have a reverse rotation crank available for the 2.10. I have contacted Just Engines in England, they have one for a 1.80 and said they will check with "factory" to see if a 2.10 is available now. Mike K.

RE: a bandit was lost today in floid bennet
Adil- Why not get your parts back from BV and send the parts to a lab that can do a failure analysis of the parts. I do not see how removing 1/16" from a 2" spar will fail all spars and kill the airplane. I think a qualified lab can tell you in short order what caused the failure. Good luck, Mike Krizan

I was in the store yesterday and they did not have a copy. The lady you talked to is the owners wife who has not been there that long. Talk to Brad or Rudy, they know what you are loking for. I can"t figure ouy the ISBN thing for this book. It is pub in Italy by a small outfit. Brad said he thought he could get one. If you can not get one from him let me know and I can send you a copy of drawings. The drawings are good. Later, Mike K.

I bought mine at King's Hobby in Austin,Tx. 5128367388. There was one in the store the last time I was there. It may be OOP now. It is from an Italian Pub. It has good drawings in 1/48 and 1/ 72 scale (with cross sections). It also has service manual illustrations, color pics, color art of different schemes. It is in Eng/Itl text. Title- Aermacchi MB 326. Ali D'Italia 13. Published by La Bancarella AERONAUTICA. Author name- Giorgio Apostolo. (Also has some wicked fold-outs) Mike Krizan Edit for spelling.

RE: UPS, I just don't get it......
I bought a Yellow Spit from NE area that was shipped in a well packed box. It arrives with two stab wounds from the forklift. I tell UPS driver lets take a peek at this while you are here. We open the box and find the fuse is damaged aft of wing saddle. I do everything UPS says to file a claim. The adjuster comes and takes pics and tells me to him it does not look properly packed. Long story short I end up with broke stuff because it was not packed to withstand ramming by a forklift. After reading this thread it seems this is just to be expected when you ship a toy airplane. What a revelation. Mike Krizan

Designed in the US, sent overseas somewhere to be built, then sold in the US. Is this a great country or what. Plus none of that pesky OSHA, EPA, or workman's comp issues. Did I just see this on the news. Mike Krizan- PS- I have a room full of Yellow stuff.

I went to the web site of the guy flying at 10000 ft. It looked like he was at a club field. The way the site is written he talks about "getting to the field early" before others arrive or words to that effect. If this is a problem it would not be hard to find out where it happens and let the club handle it.(If it an AMA chartered club) Mike Krizan

RE: Yellow Aircraft F/A-18 Twin!
I have one also, so what. It seems to me reading your replies that you have more problems with the plane than gear doors. I have not measured mine against drawings because it does not matter to me. (Again why even bring it up in this thread, these guys are a big help to someone building the plane) If what you stated is fact the gear doors are the least of problems that can be fixed. Just my opinion. MK.
