RE: OFFICIAL TEAM LOSI MINI DT THREAD
Hi guys just got back from deployment and my truck seems to be a bit slow now could the batt be damaged or just need to be cycled a bit. I always try to run the truck down as low as possible before I charge it. I want to switch over to lipo and brushless but I am on a budget and this is just a fun bashing truck for me. I have a spektrum radio I can use for my tx when I upgrade but the local hobby shop wants 99 for the rx si thats a bit pricey. Who are you guys ordering from on the net? my local hobby shops respponse is always buy this or that new car or truck right now its buy the slash yadda yadda. I dont want a new truck I want to make this a nice fun truck.

well lets just say we arent racing just for fun so I am not worried about the waranty. I would not try to return something I know I am pushing past spec if something did happen. if it lasted for 3-4 months I would be happy with that you can just buy the motor right?

Looks like its gonna be a maba max 7700 or 6900 with a 3slipo pack I will figure out the gearing after I get the car.

RE: Who has the Mamba Max?
ok I have read most of this thread and I have a question doing drag races 2-3 second bursts in a parking lot would I be able to run a 7700 with a 3s for extra power. I would put this in a TC4 with a graphite chassis and I have a spectrum radio for my turmoil so I will be using that. I am just trying to get as much power as I can. I will try to get some video of the guys that I will be running against.I am a dirt/nitro guy so I am kinda lost here.

I think I am going to use a TC4 with a graphite chassis. Now I just need to figure out what brushless motor and lipo battery to run.

car for straightline p-lot drag race
Started over in the drag forums but they said not enough traction on a parking lot for a dragster. I need a fast elec car to race with turning around is not an issue I dont mind going after the car but will need some steering. everyone else runs nitro I think I can get them with a good elec motor most of the races are won on the hole shot. a few of the guys have been clocked at just under 100mph. I am a dirt guy but want to get started. I obviously know nothing about street cars so any recommendations on a set up?

this is more of an unlimited run what you brung type of thing. nobody looks inside your car and your only idea of what one will do is watching them race. You have to line up and run hoping your car is faster than the other guy. your post helped alot thanks

help! getting started in dragracing
I am wanting to start racing my buddies they are running 10th scale cars but no dragsters they also all run gas. I am willing to do electric but all my experiance has been with gas cars. We run in a long parking lot well they do I am not crazy enough to put my turmoil up against a road car. average speed is in the 100mph range I want to go out and kill the competition so I need to be getting around 115 out of the car. I will get a distance on the p-lot so you know what I am working with. I have no idea where to start wiith a dragster so what do I need and what kind of cabbage am I looking at forking out?

Boredom a sheet of plywood and the front of my car + my firestorm = fun lol got 4 good jumps in until it busted the bulkhead man it got up there. I have a new turmoil so I figured why not since I just bash with it anyway neighbors were coming out to watch. I have a video of one of the jumps I will get the wife to download it and I will post it on here later.

Mrballzy I haven't broken anything but the front bulkhead on mine but I have broken several parts on my new turmoil so I know how it goes. The turmoil has just had allot of weird landings. aaront I put 30 wt oil in my shocks and it seems to have helped but I haven't ran it at the track yet.

yea HPI is a great company. I pulled the hump pack out of my FS tonight to put in my new turmoil buggy. Don't worry as soon as I can I am going to get another hump pack for the FS. You cant go wrong with the FS as a first nitro powered rc.

got my turmoil RTR today got it fired up with a buddy's help (I don't have a batt for the roto start yet so I borrowed his) cant wait to put the pro susp parts on it but I am going to run it with the stock set up for now to try and see if there is any difference. I already put the hump pack from my firestorm in it. does anyone know of a reasonable upgrade for the steering servo it seems a bit sluggish.

you should get a chainsaw and cut those pesky trees out of the way so you can realy hit those jumps but nice vid man. I gotta get video camera I jump my FS allot and it hasn't broke yet. nice jumps at the end and good driving you should go to a tracka and see how you do.

I have a firestorm I bash with but I have a turmoil on layawy that is going to be for racing. I made the mistake of going to a local track and now I am hooked. I will still bash though I will be jumping higher due to the fact that the turmoil will be my race vehicle
