ok so recently my JR500t gyro started acting weird it would wagg violently or lock really tight i tried everything i aajusted the gain and travel adjust and tail servo and it acts the same now here is what i dont understand??? i have two batteries a aphace 2100mah and a esky 1800mah the esky one is alomst 2 years old and alot older than my other battery. ok so when i use my 2100mah aphace battery the gyro holds perfect but when i use my esky battery the gyro is terrible!! wtf?!?!?! also the esky battery still has power it can hold ahover for 7-8mins so i dont get it?? maybe its not powerful enough really dont get this or am i just going nuts??

RE: IT IS TIME!!!
gnd2 wow thanks man that is some great info!!!!!! its toooooo bad though!!! for flip sakes today i had a crash after reading this all no i dint atempt a loop yet...i lost control of it doing a nose in hover flight. i can fly really good curcuts and fly super high and do very fast forward flight i am comftalbe around the sky but doing no 3d and i struggle with nose in like today had a crash because nose in is super hard for me!!! crash wasnt to bad....blades , paddles and boom broke so im gonna replace them now. the worst news for me though is now i feel totally discouraged i feel like im not even close to pulling off a loop yet alone nose in and i really thought i was ready so i am really very disapointed in myself and ive lost all my confidence what to do? anyway quess it happens just gta move on.......[&o]

RE: IT IS TIME!!!
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR THE HELP! Ok so far ive heard alot of diffrent things...my setup is the one listed below i would really like to keep the gyro it has worked well so far the tail servo also holds ok. the motor is the standard esky one that sells with the belt cp is what ive heard the motor gear is 10t so is this ok???? the 3 cyclic servos are the sg90 tower pro ones. do i really need to change them out all i want to do is flips and loops then if i get good ill get better servos is this ok?? will the tower pro servos do flips and rolls?? cant i do 3d with wooden blades really dont want to break expensive carbon fibre blades they are so expensive in south africa let me tell you!!! so really what im asking is can i do basic 3d with my current setup?? oh by the way i have this really bad fear that i will try a loop and pull back on the elavator stick and the heli will get stuck upside down and go in to the ground to do a loop must i first get alot of forward speed then pull back as hard as i can on the elvator?? another thing im confused about is what exactly are flybar weights because im looking at my heli right now and i have noooooo idea what to touch or remove??? im really sorry that im such a noob!

RE: ESC Burned?
dont give up on the hobby! are you using that crapy esky esc if so then thats problary your problem that thing is a fire hazzard it is the worst esc ever mine almost caught fire and had to be replaced after only 10 flights! i recommend getting a decent esc of about 30a or more i got the hyperion 30a titan esc and it works great but their are plently others on the market! replace that esc if its esky trust me!

RE: first helicoptor
if you have never flown rc helis before i strongly suggest a co-axial like a lama v4 for orientation and control you will spend as much as the lama in crashes on a bigger heli once you have learnt on the lama then get a cp heli like a trex 450 or whatever your budget can afford and you will have a better time flying it because of the experience on the lama

RE: belt cpv2 servos
i also on my belt cp replaced the esky servos they did not center well and stripped! i look at 2 diffrent types of servos the tower pro sg 90s and the hitec 65hb and mg. i decided to buy the tower pro 90s and i have had over 100+ flights with them and a few crashes and they still havent broken!!! they are alot better then those esky servos which i will never ever buy again! they are cheap and work very well much better than i thought. the hitec 65 servos on the other hand are pretty much the best 450 heli servos you can buy they are very good high presicion and are better then the tower pros dont get me wrong though i love the tower pro sg90s i have done some pretty hard flying and they have held very well! if you are in to high preformance 3d flying then get the hitec 65 mgs and spend the money! otherwise i would get the tower pros! and you cant go wrong they are so cheap just my 2 cents -jonathan

RE: THE NEW BELT CPV2
i also object to that esc i used it on my old belt cp and after 10 flights it would lose all power and i would have to try auto land to the ground it would lose power after 2 mins of flying changed it out for a 30a hyperion works like a charm!

RE: new radio
well i thought the same thing as you really how many channels do i need? if you plan on buying a bigger heli like a nitro than you will need a 7ch radio for the govenor or on a smaller heli if you want to add something like lights or another mixing option than you will need another channel. i thought why waste money on a 6ch radio and just go ahead and buy a 7ch radio to avoid problems later on. i currently am flying a trex 450 a belt cp and a co comanche so nothing to big yet. the radio i bought is a spectrum dx7 and it is exellant!!! i have bben using it for almost a year and is it the greatest also it has an extra channel that i dont even use but i have it in case i upgrade later on. save yourself the trouble get a dx7 i promise!!! you will love it great readio systeam!!! -jonathan

RE: Gyro Preference
I know this might be a late post but if you were wandering about the JRgyro a friend of mine has one on his trex 450 and it holds it very well so not a bad gyro. As for myself i have the slighty better JR gyro the JR500t on my trex 450 and it holds the tail very well no problems it hold as well as the 401 in my opinion!
