RE: Official RC10GT Thread
well if u spin one tire the other one should spin the other way. urs is probably not because either ur diff is too tight or slipper is not tight enough. try spining one tire while holding the spur gear and the slipper too. I would be willing to bet thats ur problem

60 size pqhor
Hi have a gee bee pqhor and i was wondering if it would be overkill to put a OS 60 fp onto it. I am looking to get gobs of power out of a hover but would a 60 be too much considering the wieght i will potentialy have to add to the tail to get it to balance.

My First Mid Air!!
When me and my friend were doing combat in comes a third plane with a streamer so we figured he wanted in(he really did) so he was flying a swizzle stick but we didnt mind it was all fun, and me and my friend were flying spad dogfighters. well anyway me and the swizzle stick started doing loops around each other when we tangled up I got him alot better than he got me. my damage was 4 prop slashes in the wing wich look awesome and his damage was a broken trailing edge and a ripped off rudder Amazinly we both land fine mine was pretty normal dead stick but his took some effort considering it was a rudder elevator plane, with no rudder. Also we both flew again the same day all i had to do was start the engine but he skrewed the rudder back on and for the trailing edge he taped a wooden prop to it. Talk about a lucky day!

Is my reciever shot?
this is what happened, the tank in my plane popped open and alot of gas got onto the reciever now whenever i walk with the transmitter its fine till about 20 feet and then the servos will jitter. I put a different reciever in and i could go at least double that if not more. So knowing that would u say its shot, or can this be fixed and how?

RE: u can do 46 wing problem
santi on my ucd the tail broke right under ther stab, so I wanted to beef that area up so I took 2 pieces of carbon fiber and put it from the bottom of the fuse to the tips of the stab and now it is strong as a rock, it looks exactly like the tail supports on the funtana

hey rik756 I have a hobbistar 60 sitting in my basement that has only been flown 3 times and by that I mean flights not days at the field, there is absolutly nothing wrong with it I just found it to easy to fly, as I like a challenge. The only thing is there is a few holes in the covering. I would be happy to sell it to you. just pm me and we could work something out.

RE: how to hover a Magic
Anyway PRATICE MAKES PERFECT!!!!
someone once told me this saying is incorrect, he said practice doesn't make perect, Perfect practice makes perfect. In other words your not going to get any better if you practice the wrong stuff your just going to learn bad habbits. as far as hovering goes I was always told that the entry is crucial, you cant just force a plane to hover from any attitude. If you dont enter it right its going to be harder to keep it in a hover.

hi all I just got back from flying my ucd today and I had quite the close call. i was flying and all of a sudden I through the prop and since this was the first time this has ever happened to me i diidnt know what to do so I just pulled back on the throttle the instant I saw the prop fall and the I hit the kill switch. I got lucky cause I didnt break the connecting rod. so im happy.

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?
aiplane boy I thought you said you fly at Pratt Wayne woods?? ow well what ever. I too love doing low full throttle passes but this one time I decided to do a few inverted and the tail touched and I got spooked and pulled up(oops!!) well fixed that sucker up and flew it the next week only to crash again due to a loss of reciever crystal. after that I got into 3d and kinda forgot how to fly super fast and have had much more fun flying 3d. if you are interested in any older 3d planes to keep you hoverin till you fix the ucd give me a pm im sure I got something that will suit your tastes

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?
Airplane bow what time did you fly on sunday. I was at pratt by 11 and I saw no other u can dos so I figured you didnt come. un less you crashed before I got there because I saw someone in the weeds on left side of the field when I got there. that might of been you. sorry to hear about your crash but that will remind you always have a clevice retainer. I lost my elevetor clevice on my magic but meraclessly I got it on the ground with absolutely no damage but quite a scare all because it was the one clevice without a retainer.

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?
I just thought Id let everyone know my fixed ucd flew on sunday well, It flew great except the gear broke off on second landing and cracked the fuse to the fire wall then up and around the fire wall so we broke out the epoxy at the field and did a quick fix for the day and lasted another two flight when I stripped an aileron servo so I landed and went home. all in all not great day but days have been worse. right now I am in the proces of fiberglassing the landing gear block and the fire wall so this wont happen again. but i was wondering do you guys think I should paint the fiberglass or cover over it or just leave it be? thanks Steve

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?
I think I just figured out a way to fix the gravity feed problem besides modifing the engine mount/fuse/tank. All I did was I moved the mount for my sullivan fueler from the side(below carb) to the top(above carb) of the cowling. I have a feeling that it will work like this correct me if im wrong but wont the tank not me able to gravity feed the fueler and then the carp will suck from the fueler or do I have this backwards and for this to work as planned I need to mount the fueler on the bottom of the cowl. do you guys think wither of these two ways will work? thanks in advanced Steve

when you have 4 planes in the basement waiting to be built and two are the same planes. when the hobby shop has your usual gallon of gas ready every day when you walk in. When the hobby shop starts asking you to put the new supplies away because you probbably know better than they do. When the hobby shop is on your 911 emergency speed dial space

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?
Hey everyone just wanted to let everyone know that greatplanes sent me a new wing in replacement for the one that broke in midflight yet popped back into position so I could land to save the fuse although when I was unwrapping the wing from the packaging I noticed the wing tip was broken so i thought no big I ll just go in and fix it so I go in and it appears to be an easy fix but when I looked at the first rib I could see through the lightening holes the first rib in was cracked but none of the other ones were as far as I could see or feel when I squeezed the rest. My question to you guys is what should I do? should I fix or complain and try to get another wing. Also later that night I went to a club meeting and I won another u can do 46 for 5 dollars in squaresmust of been my lucky day although I really havent looked the new one over yet to see if its all in one piece Thanks Steve
